Midnight Flyboy 1916
World War 1 Ace conquers time Travel
In 1917, Dieudonne Costes fought head-to-head against lead-spitting enemy planes over the Balkans. Ten years later, the crack French pilot faced a different kind of challenge: navigating the pitch black skies over the South Atlantic. Behind the stick of his aircraft, he soared across the time zones from Senegal to Brazil to complete the world’s first non-stop flight across the South Atlantic.
Inspired by his record breaking feat and the world’s earliest aviator timepieces, Stauer is proud to introduce the Midnight Flyboy 1916 Watch. The first multi-function wristwatches forever changed air combat, allowing pilots to time complicated maneuvers and coordinate attacks. The Midnight Flyboy features a spectacular face, set inside a case fused in rose gold. Three tachymeters and a movable bezel to measure speed and ascent and the chronograph function allows you to measure elapsed time and stop on a dime. Interior complications mark elapsed minutes and hours as well as display a 24-hour clock.
