CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Decking Tile is pre-treated with water-based wood strain to make the surface durable enough for outdoor usage. The best way to extra the life of your Decking Tile is by cleaning it correctly, not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary and re-staining it on a regular basis. .
HOW TO CLEAN
Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild soapy solution. Wipe
dry with a clean and dry cloth.
HOW TO MAINTAIN
You can easily refresh your Decking Tile and make it more durable by
restaining it on a regular basis, for example, once a year. You may need to
re-stain the Decking Tile more frequently, depending on the climate you live
in and the Decking Tile’s exposure to sun and rain. Restaining prevents the
surface from drying out and cracking and moisture from penetrating into the
wood.
HOW TO RE-STRAIN
Choose a place in the shade for cleaning, re-staining, and leaving the Decking
Tile to dry. Avoid direct sunlight.

Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild soapy solution, if necessary.
Wipe dry with a clean and dry cloth. Use a soft brush to remove tougher stains. If necessary, sand the surface with fine-grade sandpaper. Be sure to sand it in the direction of the grain. Do not use steel wool or a brush with metal bristles – pieces of metal may become embedded in the wood and rust. If wood fibers rise after cleaning, sand the surface with fine-grade sandpaper. -
Shake the bottle well and apply a thin, even coat of stain to the furniture using a brush or sponge. Apply on the entire surface at once and in the direction of the grain.

Water-based stain dries quickly so be sure to wipe off any excess with a dry cloth directly after application. Wash brushes and your hands with soap and water.
HOW TO STORE
Before storing it away for the season, clean it well and let it dry
thoroughly. If possible, store your Decking Tile in a cool and dry place
indoors. If stored outside, put them under a roof if possible and cover it
with a protective cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or
snow – especially from flat surfaces. Allow air to ventilate, to avoid
moisture and mold.
NOTE!
To increase the stability of your furniture, re-tighten the screws at least
once per season.
