FAQ’s

What is the difference between this and the EBL C9042W?****

The C9042W takes 8 AA batteries, while the C9042 only takes 4 AA batteries.

Can I use rechargeable lithium-ion batteries with this charger?****

No, you can only use Ni-MH rechargeable batteries with this charger.

What is the maximum amount of time it will take to charge my batteries?****

It will take about 3–4 hours to charge your batteries.

How many times can I recharge my batteries?****

You can recharge your batteries about 500 times.

Do I need to remove my batteries from their device before charging them?****

Yes, you must remove your battery from its device before charging it.

Do low self-discharge rate EBL batteries resemble Eneloop’s?****

Although they are advertised as “Pre-Charged,” those EBL batteries are NOT the low-self-discharge variety like Sanyo Eneloop. After three months of storage, I gauged their self-discharge rate. Every month, they discharge at a rate of about 10%. On the other side, after a year, Sanyo Eneloop lived up to its marketing claim of 85%.

Can you use this to recharge batteries from any brand? Or the only brand of batteries it includes.****

I’ve already charged three different brands with no issues, ranging from 2000mah to 2800mah.

Does the EBL 8 Bay charge 8 AA Batteries or just 4 AA and 4AAA Batteries?****

With the EBL 808 Charger, you may charge as many AA or AAA batteries as you’d like in pairs.

So any type of aaa + aaa mah battery can be charged with this?****

Yes, it can simultaneously charge two rechargeable “AA” and “AAA” batteries.

Does this charger also work with Ni-Cad batteries?****

According to the product description, “Can both charge AA and AAA Ni-MH Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries (Do not charge alkaline or Lithium batteries)”, the answer is yes.

I have an EBL charger with 8 bays. It functioned perfectly until recently, upon plugging it in, the less began to flicker. Why does that matter?****

Most of the extra AA and AAA batteries I purchased a year ago no longer function or keep a charge. They appear to be completely charged (green light on), but they aren’t, and I have to change them after only a few hours or a day.

Why do the lights remain green despite the fact that the batteries need to be charged?****

When charging, my charger’s LEDs become yellow, and when charged, they change green. However, they must be charged in pairs.

Can you use it to charge C batteries?****

No, only AA and AAA batteries may be charged with this device.

Why does each set of two batteries only have one indicator light?****

It only makes pairs of charges. I believe it has to do with completing a circuit.

How many batteries are present?****

4 AAA and 4 AA batteries are among the provided 8.
