General Introduction

Adopt 2.4GHz wireless transmission technology, the Saramonic Blink900 S is an incredibly lightweight, ultracompact, and easy-to-use wireless microphone system for up to 2 people, delivering exceptional, broadcast-quality sound. With built-in rechargeable batteries, the system provide long battery life for daily recording. The operating range can reach up to 200 metres.

With built-in omnidirectional microphone, the small and light TXS transmitter features 360-degrees of sound pickup, ideal for capturing natural-sounding dialog for video productions, interviews, speech, and many other applications. Multiple functions are integrated into the power button, making it easy to use.
The dual-channel RX receiver features a selectable Mono / Stereo output setting. A 3.5mm headphone jack is available for real-time monitoring, and the 3.5mm TRS output makes the unit compatible with DSLR, mirrorless, camcorders, recorders, mixers, and more. It also features a high-resolution LCD display that lets you see vital information at a glance.

The magnetic belt clip of TXS transmitter & RX receiver can be used with the magnetic nameplate (sold separately), which can be easily clipped to shirts and clothing, or used with a lanyard (sold separately) for hanging on the neck. The Blink900 RXDi receiver has a MFi Certifified Lightning output and is designed for iOS devices. And the Blink900 RXUC receiver has a USB-C output and is designed for devices with a USB-C port, including Android smartphones and tablets. The Blink900 S2BOX charging case allows you to charge the TXS transmitters and RX receiver anywhere, making the Blink900 S2 kit easy to carry on.

Note: Please charge the transmitter in time when in a low battery status, or it will auto-shutoff within 10 mins.

1. Power button
   Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to turn on/off the receiver.

2. +/SET button
   Function| Operation

   +| On home screen, short press to increase output volume. On menu screen, short press to select different functions or values shown on the display.
   SET| On home screen, long press to enter the menu screen. On menu screen, long press to enter the displayed menu. Then, long press again to confirm your option.

   On home screen, short press to decrease output volume. On menu screen, short press to select different functions or values shown on the display; long press to return to home screen.

   Use the included USB-C charging cable to charge the receiver.

   Connect the Blink900 RX to a camera, recorder, or mixer with the included output cable.

Blink900 RXDi:

1. MFi Certified Lightning connector It can be connected to an iOS Lightning device.

3. Mono/ Stereo toggle
   The output mode can be set to Mono or Stereo. When under Mono output mode, the audio recorded by the two transmitters will be in one channel. When under Stereo output mode, the two transmitter’s audio will be separated into left and right channels.

   When the Blink900 RXDi is plugged into an external device, the external device can be powered via this charging port. This port can also be connected to a USB-C headphone to monitor the recording.

NOTE: iPhones and iPads can be powered and charged through this port while in use.

   It can be connected to Android Smartphones, Tablets, Computers and other USB-C devices.

LCD Display Operation Guide

Wireless Receiver Blink900 RX

Home screen
If no operation is performed within 20 seconds on menu screens, the display will automatically return to the home screen.

1. Channel icon

   • A/B Indicates channel A/B is successfully paired.
   • A/B Indicates channel A/B is unpaired.
   • A off/B off Indicates channel A/B is turned off.

2. Audio input level meter Displays the audio input level.

3. RF level indicator
   Indicates the current signal level.

   • Signal is strong (Successfully paired)
   • Signal is weak (Successfully paired)
   • Unpaired

4. TXS’s battery level indicator Displays the battery level. Please recharge the transmitter immediately as soon as the indicator starts flashing.

5. RX’s output mode

   • M : Mono
   • S : Stereo

6. Output volume

7. RX’s battery level indicator Displays the battery level. Please recharge the receiver immediately as soon as the indicator starts flashing.

Menu screen

Channel Setting
Turn on/off channel A/B. Default setting:

• Channel A: On
• Channel B: Off

Output Volume Setting
Output volume can be set from 0 to 9. The default is “6”. (The setting is retained even after the unit is turned off.)

Output Mode Setting
The output mode can be set to either mono or stereo. When in mono mode, the audio from the transmitter, or transmitters will be mixed to both the left and right sides. When in stereo mode, the two transmitters’ audio output will be separated to the left and right sides. Default is mono.

Backlight Setting
Set the backlight to always be on or on for 10/30/60 seconds. The default is “On”.

Brightness Setting
You can set the brightness to “Auto” or manually select a value within the range of 1-10. The default is “7”.

Language Setting
English and Chinese are available. The default is English.

Restore Default Setting

Pairing
Select “Yes?” to pair the receiver with the transmitter. For details of the operation, please refer to “Operation Guide”.

Operation Guide

For the kit of Blink900 S1/ Blink900 S2

1. Long press the power button to turn on the transmitter(s) and the receiver.
2. Pairing.

Before leaving the factory, the system is pre-paired. Therefore, the connection will be established once they are powered on. If they are disconnected, please follow the below steps:

1. Long press the SET button to make the receiver enter the menu screen.

2. Use the + or – button to display the Pair menu on the receiver.

3. Long press the SET button to select.

4. Select Yes, then long press the SET button to confirm. The receiver enters pairing mode.

5. Press the transmitter(s)’ power button twice to make the transmitter(s) pairing mode, and blinks blue rapidly.

6. The transmitter (s) and receiver will be successfully paired within 10 seconds. turns static blue.

   • Connect the receiver to a camera, recorder or mixer with the included 3.5 mm TRS to TRS audio output cable.
   • You are ready to record.

For the kit of Blink900 S3/ Blink900 S4/ Blink900 S5/ Blink900 S6

1. Long press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the transmitter(s).

2. Plug the Blink900 RXDi into an iOS Lightning device or the Blink900 RXUC into a USB-C device.

3. Pairing
   Before leaving the factory, the system is pre-paired. Therefore, the connection will be established once they are powered on. If they are disconnected, please follow the below steps:

4. Press the transmitter(s)’ power button twice to enter the pairing mode, and blinks blue rapidly.

5. Insert the pairing pin into the pairing pin-hole of the receiver and press hard. It’s paring indicator blinks blue rapidly.

6. The transmitter (s) and receiver will be successfully paired within 10 seconds. The pairing indicators of both will turn static blue.

7. You are ready to record.

Note:

1. When pairing two transmitters to one receiver, if one of the transmitters fails to be paired, please turn off the transmitter that has been successfully paired, and then repeat the pairing operation to pair the transmitter with the receiver.
2. Due to the 2.4GHz wireless frequency is widely used, the signal may be easily attenuated or interfered. Please try to avoid obstacles while using, such as walls and buildings. And keep away from devices with 2.4GHz frequency, such as high-power Wi-Fi antennas, radios, etc.

Charging Guide

Please recharge the device when the battery is low.

Charge the transmitter/receiver

1. Use the charging case to charge the transmitter/receiver.
   Place the transmitter and the receiver into the charging case to start charging.
   Note:
   The transmitter/receiver will automatically turn off after being placed in the charging case.

2. Use the included USB-C cable to charge the transmitter/receiver.
