Kaadas KA2111 Smart Lock
Information and Safety Warnings
- Failure to follow these instructions could result in damage to the product and void the factory warranty.
- The accuracy of the door preparation is critical for the proper functioning and security of this product. Misalignment can cause performance degradation and lessening of security.
- This lockset is designed to provide the highest standard of product quality and performance. Care should be taken to ensure a long-lasting finish. When cleaning is required, use a soft, damp cloth. Using lacquer thinner, caustic soaps, abrasive cleaners, or polishes could damage the coating and result in tarnishing.
( NOTE: Do not load batteries until lock is completely installed.)
- Master PIN Code (4~10 digits): The default master pin code is ‘12345678″, It’s required that you change it to a code of your own before programming.
- User PIN Code (4~10 digits): A total of 250 user codes may be programmed.
- Neither master nor user PIN codes support the following combination of numbers.

Definitions
Master Code:
Required for programming and feature settings. Master code can be used to
unlock the door under vacation mode. The default master code needs to be
changed before programming.(Property owner/ manager should keep this
information confidential.)
Enter Master Mode:
- Touch Keypad screen with your hand to activate lock.
- Press [*] twice, input master PIN code, and press[#] to confirm.
Auto Unlock:
Automatically locks the deadbolt 30 seconds after unlocking. This feature is
disabled by default.
Wrong Entry Limit:
After 10 unsuccessful attempts at entering a valid PIN code, the unit will
shut down for 3 minutes.
Silent Mode:
The beep sounds when pressing keypad can be muted. But you will still hear low
battery and system alerts.
Vacation Mode:
This is a security feature for you when you are leaving your home for vacation
or long trip. Enabling vacation mode will restrict all user codes until master
code is entered on keypad. If the lock is unlocked by thumb turn or the key,
the lock will sound an alarm.
Privacy Mode:
When the privacy mode is activated, the door cannot be opened from outside
except with master PIN code.

Restore factory default settings
- Keep your lock in ~unlock” status, insert4AA batteries in battery pack.
- Use the provided reset pin to press and hold the reset button for more than 5 seconds until hearing beep sound.
- If reset is successful, the bolt will extend on its own to learn the orientation of the door.
Lock handing
If the installation is complete, the knob cannot be turned manually, you can restore factory settings once.
Troubleshooting

The lock can’t be locked or unlocked by keypad?
Make sure the codes are not disabled. If needed, restore the lock to default settings. -
The keypad doesn’t respond when touched (no lights and no beeps)?
Make sure the power cable is properly connected. Change the batteries with 4 brand-new AA standard alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries. -
The Kaadas logo on top of the keypad keeps flashing red?
It indicates the battery life is under 20% and please change the batteries as soon as possible. -
Forgot the Master or user PIN codes
Perform a reset to erase all passcodes. Once the reset is complete, all pass codes will be erased, and the master code will return to the default. (12345678).

Enable Auto-lock
When this feature is enabled, the lock will automatically relock Itself 30 sec after being unlocked.
Unlock the door from inside
- Rotate the thumbtum to vertical position.
Lock the door from inside
- Rotate the thumbtum to horizontal position.
Z-Wave™ Module pairing instructions
(Optional network module required)
Z-Wave™ pairing setting can only be programmed through the Master Mode Menu at the Lock.
- Follow user guide of your Smart Hub or Network gateway to enter Learning or Pairing Mode.
- Touch Keypad screen with your hand to activate lock.
- Enter master mode.
- Enter “O” to enter Network Setting.
- Enter “1” to join network or “2”to exit network.
- Follow steps on your 3rd party interface or network controller to sync Z-Wave™.
CAUTION:
Optional Z-Wave'”‘ or other Network Module is required to enable this feature. If the lock is connected to a network controller, it is recommended that all programming of PIN Codes and settings is completed through 3rd party user interface to ensure stable communication between lock and controller is maintained.
Lock Operation
The default master code is 12345678. It’s required that you change it to a code of your own before programming.
When setting is unsuccessful the indicator light will flash red.
