WARNING: Before using the machine
Read the user manual carefully.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Operators using the machine must be experienced or fully trained in welding; they have to read the user manual before operation and follow the safety instructions.

  • Protection against electric shock
Wear dry and sturdy insulated gloves and working apron. Never use wet or damaged gloves and working aprons.
If not used turn off the machine.
Before repairing the machine, remove all power connections and/or connector plugs or turn off the machine.
Make sure that the grounding of the power line is properly connected.
All cables must have an adequate section; stop welding if the cables overheat in order to avoid rapid wearing of the insulation.
Operators must work on an insulating board.
Do not weld in damp or wet conditions

  • Protection against moving parts
Safeguard your hands by keeping them away from electrodes and moving parts while working.
Wear metal toe shoes against the possibility of heavy objects falling on to your feet.

  • Protection agains welding fumes and gases
Good ventilation is essential in all welding work.
Create a natural or artificial ventilation system in the work area.

  • Protection against burns
Do not touch the hot parts with bare hands.
Wait until the time required for the machine to cool down before working on its parts.
If you need to hold hot parts, use suitable tools, welding gloves with high- level thermal insulation and fire-resistant clothes.

  • Protection against sparks and spattering particles
Consider spark formation during welding. Supply your protective equipment.
Welder’s clothes must be used for spot welding applications. Synthetic materials should be avoided as they will burn quickly due to welding sparks.
Keep flammable materials, gasoline, oil, thinner etc. away from where the machine is operated.
Fire extinguisher tubes and materials must be available at all times in order to ensure fire protection against fire in the welding environment.

  • Protection agains noise
If the noise level is high, wear approved ear protectors.

  • Protection against electromagnetic interferance
This machine is designed for operation in the industrial zone and according to CISPR11, the 2nd group is a class A device.
The use of the grid in residential areas can cause difficulties in terms of noise transmitted or emitted in ensuring electromagnetic compatibility. The user must install and operate this machine as described in the manual. If any electromagnetic interference is detected due to the operation of this machine, the user should take corrective measures to reduce or eliminate these effects.
Check the electromagnetic immunity of equipment’s operating near the working area.
The user must ensure that all equipment in the work area is compatible. Otherwise, additional protection measures may be required. These measures will depend on the size of the work area, the shape of the building and other activities in the work area.
To prevent possible EMC damage, perform your welding operations as far as possible (100m) from your sensitive electronic devices.
If changes are made or the machine is included in integrated equipment, compliance with the standards should be checked again.

  • Protection against installation errors
The device is suitable for indoor use only.
Do not expose to rain or excessive moisture.
Keep all covers, panels etc. of the machine closed and locked.

  • Waste procedure
This device is not domestic waste. It must be directed to recycling within the framework of theEuropean Union directive and national laws.
Obtain information from your dealer and authorized persons about the waste management of yourused machines..

TRANSPORT RULES

  • Cautions during delivery
First remove all packing material on the machine.
Make sure that all the items you have ordered have arrived. If any material is missing or damaged, contact your place of purchase immediately.
In case of damaged or incomplete delivery; Keep a record, take a picture of the damage and report to the carrier with a copy of the transport note.

  • Packing
The machine can optionally be on the pallet. Consider the specifications for package dimensions and weight.
Machine’s center of gravity is close to the upper part. Therefore, be careful in the transportation process.
Do not climb onto the pallet while moving.

  • Storage
When the machine is not used for a long time, store it in a dry place with ambient temperature between 0 ° C and + 40 ° C, and not in contact with rain.
Drain the water cooling system if it will be stored at temperatures below 0 ° C.

INSTALLATION

Place the machine in a dust-free and moisture-free location. Place it in a wide area to make it easily accessible for ventilation and maintenance.
Place it on a clean surface and fix it with fixing screws.
Connection to the mains supply
Always connect the mains cable of the device to a grounded outlet. Make sure that the outlet is properly grounded.
When inserting the plug into the outlet, make sure that the machine’s on / off switch is in the “0” position.
Do not operate the device with a damaged input cable or a damaged power plug.
Check all cables frequently for possible damage. If a damaged or non-insulated cable is detected, repair it immediately or replace it with a new one of the same cross section and type.
Your machine is operated with 380 V, 2 phase mains voltage.
Your machine has an energy input cable that output from the back panel. The plug on the end is connected in 2 phases. Do not make any changes here.
Connect an external ground to the grounding screw on the back panel of the machine.
Use an input fuse in accordance with the power of your machine.

OPERATION

Before applying mains voltage to the machine, make sure that the tap switch is in the “0” position.
After connecting the machine’s input cable to the mains, turn the tap switch to “1” position.
This position is the lowest current setting of the machine. In the meantime, the machine is running.
Make sure that the part of the workpiece to be welded is not painted, oily or too dusty to prevent conductivity.
According to the thickness of the workpieces to be welded; The 5-stage adjustment switch allows you to adjust the current. Maximum part thickness you can weld with the machine will be lower in galvanized sheets than carbon steel sheets.
Keep workpiece perpendicular to the electrodes.
After workpieces to be clamped between the electrodes, the mechanical contacts in the machine will approach each other. After the foot pedal is pressed a little more, the contacts will join and workpieces will be welded together.
You can determine the appropriate current stage by experimenting on the materials to be welded with the 5-stage current setting.
By choosing the current setting according to the thickness of the workpiece, you can complete the welding process without affecting the electrodes and/or the workpiece.
Welding operations should be done many times according to the size of the piece for a firm welding.
2 phase power supply 380V 50Hz. For optimum operation, do not use any extension cords.
If needed use cables with adeqeute cross section.DEMiRiZ DP10 Spot

MAINTENANCE

Before starting the maintenance of the machine, electrical connection must be disconnected.
Periodic inspection and preventive maintenance ensure safe, convenient operation and long life of the machine.
Initial service maintenance should be done 6 months after the machine is started to be used.
Then, maintenance should be done for 6 or 12 months depending on the machine’s power and operating environment.
If the working periods of the machine are long, maintenance should be done in a shorter time.
• Maintenance tips
All connections and cables are reviewed. Protective parts and connections are carefully checked. (Tightening the screws, crack, poles)
It is checked whether all moving and working mechanical parts fulfill their functions.
The dressings should be cleaned with soft cloths if necessary. Never use sandpaper when cleaning the windings, this may cause arc or permanent damage.
• Spare parts
Electrodes may wear out over time. Always clean electrodes for optimum weld results. Use copper with beryllium or zirconium compound for new electrodes.
