important tips

About Batteries

  • 8pcs 1.5V AA alkaline batteries are required for the maximum battery life. Used and new batteries cannot be mixed, do not mix battery types.
  • Note: Do not use rechargeable batteries. The low voltage affects the use time of the camera.
  • When the camera isn’t used for a long time, please remove the batteries to avoid leak damage to the camera or battery power loss.

About SD card

  • This camera must use a brand high-speed SD card of class 10. Please format the memory card before use via the camera menu.
  • Multiple or improper use of the memory card will reduce its performance or damage recorded data, please replace the memory card if the memory card is damaged.

Use Bluetooth to Turn on WiFi to connect with camera

  • Please turn off your cellular data before using.
  • Bluetooth is only used to turn on WiFi.
  • The WiFi works only to connect mobile APP, not use as an AP or LAN connection.
  • For better operation, we recommend that your smartphone is within 10 meters from the camera, and due to possible interference around the surroundings, get closer to the camera if the signal is bad.

General tips

  • This hunting camera is equipped with efficient infrared LEDs, lens and PIR sensor.
  • Clean the PIR lens if it is dirty during use.
  • Cleaning steps: Try to blow it off or gently pick out the dirt. Don’t try to wipe it, otherwise it may cause scratches. PIR lens scratches reduce PIR detection performance.
  • Please remove the protective film on the PIR sensor, it will affect the monitor distance.
  • Avoid error triggering, the machine cannot be placed near heat sources (especially where windy).

Install battery & Insert SD card

Install the batteries

  • Open the camera rear housing, you will find the battery box (as Figure 1), 8pcs batteries must be installed. Put batteries as positive and negative marks in the battery box.

Insert SD card

  • Before operating the camera, please insert the SD card, and please don’t insert or pull out the SD card when the camera is working.
    Note: If the SD card is not installed properly, the SD card icon on the top right corner of the screen will show “X”.

Usage of Camera

OFF mode: the switch key in “OFF” position means Power OFF mode.
SETUP mode: the switch key in “SETUP” position means settings mode.
ON mode: the switch key in “ON” position means it will be in monitoring mode after count down. The camera will work according to parameters set in menu.

System setting

  • Pull the switch to “SETUP” mode, the camera enters the setting mode, the LCD will be turned on.

  • On “SETUP” mode, press “MENU” button to enter the setting interface, then set system parameters according to the menu display on the screen, press UP/Down/LEFT / RIGHT button to move and change settings, and press “OK” button to confirm the change, then press “MENU” button to exit menu.
    Note: Press “OK” button to save the changes. Otherwise, you will lose the new settings.

  • Pull the switch to “ON” mode, the camera enters the monitoring mode, when the animal triggers the machine to work. The light sensor detects the current environmental brightness and intelligently switches between the day lens or the night vision lens according to the current brightness. For example: the environmental light visibility is high, the camera uses the daytime lens and shoots colored recordings .If the environmental light visibility is low, the camera turns on the night vision lens and shoots black and white recordings.

PIR Sensitivity| Low Medium High| The sensitivity of the PIR sensor depends on the environmental temperature. The “HIGH” setting is better when the temperature is higher and the “MEDIUM” / “LOW” setting is useful in cold weather.

Note: This option is invalid if the mode is set to Time Lapse.

APP download & installation

  • Before use, please download and install the “Hunting 4K Pro” APP in the Google Play or Apple store.
  • Alternatively please use your smartphone to scan the following QR code to download the “Hunting 4K Pro” APP.
  • When the APP is downloaded and installed, the mobile terminal will prompt “Allow Hunting 4K Pro to access photos and media on your device?” during the installation process. Please select “Allow” at this time. If not allowed, the APP cannot read camera pictures and videos(as picture)

Camera connect with smartphone by WIFI

Steps for Android Mobile phone to connect camera

  • Please turn off your cellular data before using,as Figure 1,and turn on Bluetooth, as Figure 2.
  • Click the app icon , as Figure 3 “Hunting 4K Pro”, the “TURN ON BLUETOOTH” interface pops up, as Figure 4.
  • Click “TURN ON BLUETOOTH”, it will pop up the interface as Figure 5.
  • Select the corresponding Bluetooth name of the camera “CAMERA-XXXXXXXX”, and click “TURN ON WiFi” as Figure 6.
  • After turning on WiFi via Bluetooth of the smartphone, at the same time, the camera WiFi will be activated as Figure7.
  • After the countdown, the mobile phone will switch to its WLAN interface automatically select the “Hunting 4K” name, and follow the prompts to enter the password:
  • 12345678 to connect to the camera WiFi as Figure 8.
  • After the WiFi connection is successful, the camera displays as Figure 9.
  • Click back to enter the APP and select “Keep WLAN connection” as Figure 10.

Steps for IOS system app connect camera

  • Please confirm that the smartphone Bluetooth is on before operation, as Figure 1. Click the app icon, as Figure 2 “Hunting 4K Pro”, the “Turn on Camera Bluetooth” interface pops up, as Figure 3.

  • Click “TURN ON BLUETOOTH”, it will pop up the interface as Figure 4.

  • Select the corresponding Bluetooth name of the camera “CAMERA-XXXXXXXX”, and click “TURN ON BLUETOOTH” as Figure 4.

  • After turning on WiFi via Bluetooth of the smartphone, it will enter the countdown as Figure 5. At the same time, the camera WiFi will be activated as Figure 6.

  • After the countdown, the smartphone will switch to its settings interface automatically, click the “Settings” button in the upper left corner, as Figure 9,
    enter the phone settings, and find the WLAN menu.

  • Select “Hunting 4K” name and follow the prompts to enter the password 12345678 to connect to the camera WiFi, as Figure 7.

  • After the WiFi connection is successful, the camera displays as Figure 8. Installation and positioning

Calibrate the camera installing position

  • To verify that the camera effectively monitors the selected area, pull the switch to “SETUP” and fix the camera.
  • Within the monitoring area you want, try different distances and angles to move repeatedly around the camera, the LED indicator flash to prove within the monitoring range. The LED light does not flash to prove outside the monitoring range.
  • The results verified by the test will help you find the best place to install your camera. The height of the camera placed from the ground should be depending on the size of the animal .Generally, minimum 1-2 meters are best.
  • Make sure the camera is working without any interference. Direct sunlight or installa-tion near branches should be avoided.

ON Mode
Pull the camera switch to the “ON” state. After 5 seconds, the screen will turn off and enter the monitoring mode. Once an animal enters the sensor detection area, the camera will be activated and the camera will automatically shoot. If the animal leaves the sensor detection area, the camera will turn off and return to standby mode.

Dark Mode
When the camera works at night, the infrared light will turn on automatically to illuminate about 3-22 meters , it can cause overexposure if the animal is too close to the camera.
