Important
Read this important information carefully before you use the appliance and
save it for future reference.
Danger
- Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid, nor rinse it under the tap. Use only a moist cloth to clean the motor unit.
Warning
- Thoroughly clean the parts that come into contact with food before you use the appliance for the first time.
- Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
- If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other parts are damaged.
- Never use the tumbler to switch the appliance on and off.
- Never let the appliance run unattended.
- This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Do not touch the blades, especially when the appliance is plugged in. The blades are very sharp.
- Do not pour hot liquid into the tumbler as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.
- The appliance is intended to be used in household only.
Caution
- Switch off the appliance and always disconnect from supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, approaching parts that move in use or cleaning.
- Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers or that Philips does not specifically recommend. If you use such accessories or parts, your warranty becomes invalid.
- Do not exceed the maximum indication on the tumbler.
- Do not exceed the maximum quantities and processing times indicated in fig.2.
- The appliance can only be switched on if the tumbler is assembled on the motor unit correctly.
Blender
Warning
- Never reach into the tumbler with your fingers or an object while the appliance is running.
- Make sure the blade unit is securely fastened to the tumbler before you assemble the tumbler onto the motor unit.
- Do not touch the cutting edges of the blender blade unit when you handle or clean it. They are very sharp and you could easily cut your fingers on them.
- If the blade unit gets stuck, unplug the appliance before you remove the ingredients that block the blades.
- When the tumbler is expanded, the user should not open the tumbler immediately to avoid sudden burst of liquid and stop to use.
- Always add liquids together with solid ingredients in the tumbler for better blending result. Never blend only solid ingredients.
- Follow the locking mark direction to securely lock the tumbler onto the base before blending.
- Ensure the sealing ring is properly placed in the blade unit to avoid spillage and leakage before use.
- Do not blend with carbonated liquid.
Caution
- In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
- Do not misuse the appliance to avoid potential injury.
- Never fill the tumbler with ingredients hotter than 60°C.
- Do not use the tumbler right after taking it out from dishwasher or refrigerator. Let it stay at room temperature for at least 5 minutes before use.
- To prevent spillage, do not exceed the maximum volume indication on the tumbler, especially when you process at a high speed. Reduce amount of the ingredient that tends to foam in the tumbler.
- If food sticks to the wall of the tumbler, switch off the appliance and unplug it. Then use a spatula to remove the food from the wall.
- Do not let appliance run for more than one minute at time.
- Always let the appliance cool down to room temperature after each batch you process.
- Press down the tumbler with your palm to start the blending and pulse properly.
- Noise level: Lc = 86dB(A)
Built-in safety lock
This feature ensures that you can only switch on the appliance if the tumbler
is assembled on the motor unit properly. If the tumbler is correctly
assembled, the built-in safety lock will be unlocked. Rotate the tumbler until
it is fully locked to the motor base to ensure built-in safety lock switch is
enabled.
Overheat protection
The appliance is equipped with overheat protection. If the appliance
overheats, it switches off automatically (which might occur during heavy
processing jobs or if the appliance is not used according to the instructions
in the user manual). If this happens, first switch off and unplug the
appliance and let it cool down to room temperature. Then check if the quantity
of ingredients you are processing does not exceed the quantity mentioned in
the user manual or if something is blocking the blade unit. Then put the mains
plug back into the power outlet and switch on the appliance again.
Electromagnetic fields (EMF)
This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic
fields (EMF).
Recycling
This symbol means that this product shall not be disposed of with normal
household waste (2012/19/EU).
Follow your country’s rules for the separate collection of electrical and
electronic products. Correct disposal helps prevent negative consequences for
the environment and human health. Unless otherwise indicated, all packaging
material in the box is made of recycled paper; see the PAP marking on the box.
