To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injuries, we recommend persons with medical implants to consult their doctor and the manufacturer of the medical implant prior to using the equipment.

Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to the mains data.
Warning!
Always pull the power plug before making adjustments to the equipment.

  • Unpack the vacuum extraction system and check it for damage which may have occurred in transit.
  • The machine has to be set up where it can stand securely. All covers and safety devices have to be properly fitted before the machine is switched on.
  • Before you actuate the On/Off switch, make sure that the debris bags are securely fastened!
  • Check that the voltage on the rating plate is the same as your supply voltage before you connect the machine to the power supply.

Assembly

Danger! Pull out the power plug before carrying out any maintenance, resetting or assembly work on the vacuum extraction system!

Assembling the base frame (Fig. 3 – 7)
  • Fit the wheels (10) on both sides of the chassis (8) using the axle screw (21) and the washer (22).
  • Tighten the axle screws (21).
  • Fasten the wheel caps (7) to the wheels (10). As you do so, make sure that the plug-in connector engages correctly.
  • Important! First screw the side plates (12) and the strengthening plate (9) loosely to the machine. This will simplify the assembly work and will prevent tension in the chassis.
  • Use the long lock bolts (23) and nuts (25) to fasten the two side plates (12) loosely to the chassis (8). Check that the orientation is correct.
  • Place the strengthening plate (9) between the side plates (12) and use the short lock bolts (24) and nuts (25) to fasten it loosely .
  • Undo the two nuts (20) on both sides of the plastic housing (13) .
  • Then guide the plastic housing (13) over the side plates (12), insert the screws at the plastic housing (13) through the holes into the side plates (12) and use the nuts (20) to fasten the plastic housing (13) to the side plates .
  • Now tighten all the loose screw connections.
Fitting the dust and catch bag
  • Thread the quick clamping device (5) through the sewn-in guide in the dust bag (2) .

  • Insert the dust bag hook (1) into the hole for the dust bag hook (14) on the plastic housing (13) and hang the dust bag (2) on the dust bag hook (1) .

  • Pull the dust bag (2) over the top opening in the plastic housing (13) so that it completely surrounds the opening and secure it using the quick clamping device (5).

  • Pull the catch bag (6) over the bottom opening in the plastic housing (13) so that it completely surrounds the opening and secure it using the quick clamping device (5).

Connecting the extraction hose
  • Move a hose clip (3) over the extraction hose (11).
  • Push the extraction hose (11) over the connection on the bottom side of the plastic housing (13) as far as the stop.
  • Fasten the extraction hose (11) with the hose clip (3).
  • There are various ways to connect the extraction hose (11) to a woodworking machine:
    • For a connection diameter of 36 mm use the reduction adapter (17).
    • For a connection diameter of between 36 mm and 100 mm use the 5-piece adapter set (18).
    • For connection diameters of between 90 mm and 100 mm you can use the connection adapter (19).
  • Fasten the adapter (17 or 18 or 19) to the extraction hose (11) using the hose clip (3) and connect the adapter to the woodworking machine.
  • Alternatively it is also possible to fasten the extraction hose (11) to the woodworking machine using a hose clip (3) and without the help of an adapter.

Important! Do not reduce the diameter of the extraction line unnecessarily. This can cause re-ductions in suction performance.
Make sure as well that the extraction line runs as straight as possible. Avoid kinks in the extraction hose (11).

Operation

Switching on
  • Check whether the extractor hose (11) is tightly connected to the vacuum extraction system and to the extractor adaptor of the wood processing machine.
  • Check whether the debris bags (2/6) are securely fastened.
  • Switch on the vacuum extraction system by pressing the button “I”.
  • Switch on the wood processing machine.
Switching off
  • Switch off the wood processing machine.
  • Switch off the vacuum extraction system by pressing the button “0”.
Switching off /on in automatic mode
  • The ON/OFF switch (15) has three settings: Switch position 0 : Off
    Switch position I : On
Switch position AUTO : Automatic mode
(The extractor system is switched on/off via an electric tool).

  • Connect the power cable of your electric tool to the automatic socket-outlet (16).

  • Connect the extractor hose (11) to the dust extractor connection of your electric tool. Check that the connection is secure and air-tight.

  • Set the switch (15) on the extractor system to the position “AUTO” = Automatic mode.

  • As soon as you switch on the electric tool the extractor system will start up.

  • When you switch off the electric tool, the extractor system will switch off as well after a pre-set delay.

Emptying the sawdust bag
  • Inspect and empty the sawdust bag (6) regularly!
  • Important: Remove the power plug!
  • Hold the filled sawdust bag in place with one hand.
  • Open the quick clamp device (5).
  • Remove the bag and dispose of the contents in an environmentally-friendly fashion.
  • Put the bag back into the holder and secure with the quick clamp device (5).
Transportation
  • The vacuum extraction system has a standard chassis (8).
  • For transportation, gently lift the vacuum ex-traction system by the transportation handle (4) and move it to the desired location.

Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

Danger!
Always pull out the mains power plug before star-ting any cleaning work.

Cleaning
  • Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
  • We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
  • Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could at-tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.
