Safety instructions
Warning!
Avoid looking directly into the light emitted by the light or shining the
light into your own eyes or the eyes of another person. If the light
accidentally shines into your eyes, close your eyes and move your head out of
the light beam. Do not use any strongly focusing optical device to look at the
light beam.
This device may then be used by children 8 years of age or older, persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, as well as persons with no previous experience in handling such devices, if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
Carry a spare light with you at all times, as the product can potentially fail unexpectedly at any time.
Defects: Light source must be replaced in general if the light source (or one of the LEDs) is defective.
Heat generation: The housing of SL may heat up; so make sure that you always keep the light at a safe distance to any combustible or flammable materials. Could cause fire or death! However, quiescent operation (without cooling the light housing via airflow or the like) is possible at any time and will not damage the product.
Water resistance: All SL components are waterproof and can of course be used under extremely severe conditions. The lamp complies with IP protection class 68 but is NOT a diving lamp and is NOT suitable for use under water.
Cleaning: Do not use a strong water jet or heavy detergent to clean the lamp.
Assembly
- Use the existing screw to mount the mudguard and the adapter to the fork crown / triple clamp.
- Mount the classic mount to the lamp, using two of the enclosed TX15 screws. Take care that the cables are guided through the cable shaft.
- Position the classic mount at the already mounted adapter, screw it on using both TX15 screws.
- Adjust the lamphead and the mount and tighten all screws in that position.
Here you‘ll find a video, how to prepare the light cable for installation.
Adjustment of the lamp:
Wired remote
As shown in the picture down below, the wire remote should be mounted right next to the handle. Then attach the screw with the enclosed hex key size 1,5.
The remote doesn‘t light
The lamp is switched off or daytime running light is activated.
The remote lights green
Low beam is activated.
The remote lights blue
High beam is activated.
Turn on:
- Activate the light at the display.
- Turn it on by pushing the button of the wire remote.
Operation
After turning it on, the lamp lights either with daytime running light or
low beam (depending on the ambient light). If daytime running light is acti-
vated, you can switch to low beam and high beam by pushing the button once.
Light sensor:
The light sensor is positioned behind the lens and meassures the ambient light
in a 5 sec. frequency as long as daytime running light is activated. This can
be perceived visually. When it‘s dark enough, the light switches to low beam
automatically.
Note: There‘s no sensor controlled switch from low beam to daytime running light.
Turn off:
Keep button pressed for about 2 sec.
