SAFETY INFORMATION & WARNINGS

  • Do not use a solar panel to charge the battery directly, doing so may result in fire or serious injury.
  • Do not use any external charger to change the battery directly UNLESS the external charger has a built-in charge controller. If the external charger does not have a built-in charge controller, the charging of the battery will not be regulated and the battery may overheat, catch fire, or explode.
  • Do not use any unofficial components or accessories to charge the battery.
  • Do not soak the battery in water or other liquid.
  • Do not clean the battery with water. Please use a dry cloth to clean dirt off the exterior or charging ports.
  • Do not use the battery near open flames or flammable materials.
  • Do not disassemble the battery.
  • Keep the battery out of reach of children and pets.

DISPOSAL GUIDE

  • Please follow the local laws and regulations in your area when recycling and disposing the battery. It is strictly prohibited to dispose of it in ordinary trash cans.
  • Contact a professional battery recycling company before disposing the battery.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

HOW TO OPERATE

  1. Place the battery in the Newair Electric Fridge and Freezer charging port.

  2. Hold the battery power button for three seconds. The power indicator light will turn blue.

  3. Plug the Newair Electric Fridge and Freezer into a power source (DC 12/24v, AC, or solar panel).
    Warning: Do not use the Electric Fridge and Freezer power sources to charge the battery directly. Please review the safety information and warnings on page 7 before charging or recharging the battery.

  4. The battery will begin charging automatically and the power indicator light will turn green.
    Note: If you run the Electric Fridge and Freezer at the same time as charging the battery, the power supply will mainly power the Electric Fridge and Freezer compressor and the battery will charge slowly. If you want to charge the battery quickly, turn off the Electric Fridge and Freezer and wait to turn it on once the battery has fully charged (check power indicator lights to see how charged the battery is).

CHARGING TIMES
How long it takes to charge the battery depends on the charging method used. Please refer to the below chart for more information on how long it will take to fully charge the battery.

Warning: Do not use the Electric Fridge and Freezer power sources to charge the battery directly. Please review the safety information and warnings on page 7 before charging or recharging the battery.

BATTERY RUN-TIME

  • The battery can last between 4-12 hours, depending on internal and external factors.
    Note: The battery run-time may vary depending on external environmental factors, such as setting and ambient temperature, and may result in either a longer or shorter charge time for your Electric Fridge and Freezer.

  • How long the battery lasts after being fully charged also depends on the size and capacity of the Electric Fridge and Freezer it is charging  the battery protection mode set and the temperature set on the Electric Fridge and Freezer.

LIMITED MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY

This appliance is covered by a limited manufacturer’s warranty. For one year from the original date of purchase, the manufacturer will repair or replace any parts of this appliance that prove to be defective in materials and workmanship, provided the appliance has been used under normal operating conditions as intended by the manufacturer.

Warranty Terms:
During the first year, any components of this appliance found to be defective due to materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced, at the manufacturer’s discretion, at no charge to the original purchaser. The purchaser will be responsible for any removal or transportation costs.

Warranty Exclusions:
The warranty will not apply if damage is caused by any of the following:

  • Power failure
  • Damage in transit or when moving the appliance
  • Improper power supply such as low voltage, defective household wiring or inadequate fuses
  • Accident, alteration, misuse or abuse of the appliance such as using non approved accessories, inadequate air circulation in the room or abnormal operating conditions (extreme temperatures)
  • Use in commercial or industrial applications
  • Fire, water damage, theft, war, riot, hostility or acts of God such as hurricanes, floods, etc.
  • Use of force or damage caused by external influences
  • Partially or completely dismantled appliances
  • Excess wear and tear by the user

Obtaining Service:
When making a warranty claim, please have the original bill of purchase with the purchase date available. Once confirmed that your appliance is eligible for warranty service, all repairs will be performed by a NewAir™ authorized repair facility. The purchaser will be responsible for any removal or transportation costs. Replacement parts and/or units will be new, re- manufactured or refurbished and is subject to the manufacturer’s discretion.
