Battery Information

Charging Li-ion Battery

Please charge the battery before using. Completing a charge-discharge cycle two times can make
the battery capacity achieve its maximum high-point. When the battery power is low, please recharge the battery.

Applicable Battery Type
Please use the designated battery only. Using other batteries may result in accidents or injury.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I know if the radio is off?
After 10 seconds of inactivity, the radio enters standby mode and the screen goes dark. The radio is not off! To fully turn off the device, hold the power button until you hear the double beep.
What are privacy codes?
Activating a privacy code (also called a sub-channel) will filter out transmissions from other radios that are not using the same privacy code. A channel has a privacy code enabled if it shows CT or DCS on the screen.
How do I know if the radio is fully charged?
There is a small indicator light near the charging port on the radio. It will light up red while charging and change to green when the battery is fully charged.
What are High and Low power modes?
he device has two options for transmission power: High 2W) and Low (0.5W). High power will improve range and audio quality in some situations. The active power setting is indicated on the screen as Hor L.
Why won’t my radio transmit?
When the battery is under 159%, the radio will prevent you from transmitting in order to protect the battery. 1he radio can still receive transmissions.
What is the SCAN function?
The SCAN function cycles through channels 1 to 22 until an active transmission is found. Use this to find other radio users in your area. Press any button to stop scanning.
