USER INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING Read all safety warnings and instructions provided. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions and warnings may result in serious and permanent eye injury, including blindness or death.

  • Before using this product in an industrial setting, refer to ANSI Z87.1 (in the United States) or CSA Z94.3 (in Canada), your supervisor, or a safety specialist to insure that you are wearing proper protection. Some operations may require machine guards, goggles, face shields, special filter lenses, or other safety equipment.
  • This product is classified as a spectacle and can be used in place of safety glasses. To ensure this product is suitable to wear as primary protection, check with your supervisor or a safety specialist.
  • This product helps provide limited eye protection from light to moderate impact hazards, such as metal or wood chips and small flying objects. This lens is impact-resistant but NOT unbreakable.
  • Protective devices do NOT provide unlimited protection. Eye and face protective devices are not substitutes for machine guards and other engineering controls. Personal eye and face protective devices alone should not be relied on to provide complete protection against hazards (such as fragmenting grinding wheels, exploding devices, etc.), but should be used in conjunction with the machine guards, engineering controls, and sound manufacturing and personal safety practices.
  • Do NOT use for sports, simulated combat games (e.g., paintball), or recreation such as target shooting and archery.
  • Always use both hands to install and remove this product. Do NOT use unless securely attached to a helmet.
  • Examine this product frequently and replace it immediately if there is any sign of damage. Do NOT use lens if signs of wear are visible, including breakage, gouges, cracks, dents, chalky appearance, discoloration or loss of color, or craze pattern. Exposure to chemicals can cause damage. Do NOT make any modifications to this product.
  • Wash visors with water and pat dry with a lens cloth. Do NOT use ammo-nia, alkaline cleaners, abrasive cleaning compounds, or solvents when cleaning visors. Use of certain solvents may lower the impact resistance of the visors.
  • Do NOT use for protection against chemical mists, sprays, splashes, or vapors.
  • Special Purpose (Tinted) lenses are NOT for use where filter lenses are required.
  • Do NOT use near an open flame. Do NOT use for burning, cutting or welding with torches, or electric (arc) welding. Do NOT use this product for protection against laser light. Eyewear with tinted lenses offers limited protection against sun glare or other light sources.
  • Do NOT use if the product does not remain snug around face and nose during use.
  • Do NOT use this eye visor if it has sustained an impact. Dispose of it immediately, even if damage is not visible.
  • Do NOT alter, pierce, modify, or engrave the eye visor.
  • Do NOT alter the eye visor to fit attachments in any way not recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Store in a clean, dry area, out of direct sunlight
  • Do NOT store eye visor in direct sunlight, including the dashboard or rear window shelf of a vehicle, or in extreme heat over 120°F (49°C). Exposure to direct sunlight and heat over time can lessen the ability of the eye visor to withstand impact and penetration.

Attaching/Removing Eye Visor

  1. To install, ensure eye visor is in storage position (lens on the top of the hard hat/helmet), slide eye visor brim downward on the front face of hard hat/helmet while aligning the two front ribs with the mating slots of the brim. Once eye visor brim is pressed firmly to the base of mating slots, push the slider under the lock to the right.
  2. Before removal, ensure the eye visor is in storage position (lens on top of the hard hat/helmet). To remove, push the slider under unlock to the left and pull the eye visor brim off the top of the hard hat/helmet.

Use and Adjustment to Face

  • Use position (down position) – Using both hands, rotate the lens portion only to create the best fit against face and prevent contact that may cause discomfort.
  • Micro adjustments – Moving the eye visor forward or backward for comfort.
  • Storage position – When not in use, move the lens using both hands to the top of the hard hat/helmet.
  • Correct – The eye visor should fit snug around face and nose for proper protection.
  • Incorrect – The eye visor is not snug around face and above nose for proper protection

Replacing Lens

  1. Remove the eye visor from the hardhat/helmet.
  2. Push the unlock on both sides of the lens to release.
  3. Install the new lens by inserting the lens tabs into the brim frames until a “click” is heard.

Using the Headlamp Bracket

  1. Install eye visor to hard hat/helmet before installing headlamp bracket or MILWAUKEE hard hat light.

  2. To install a headlamp, remove the manufacturer’s headband from the light.

  3. Remove the elastic band from the bracket to install the headlamp.

  4. Install the headlamp onto the elastic band by weaving the middle section of the band through the opening on the back of the headlamp.

  5. Weave the elastic band end loops through the opening of the bracket’s mounting arms. Ensure the headlamp faces outward.

  6. Once the headlamp is securely mounted on the bracket, install the bracket onto the hard hat/helmet by gripping the ends and engaging the rails at the front or rear face of the hard hat/helmet. Slide downward towards the brim until it securely clicks into place.
NOTE : Ensure the headlamp is snug against the hard hat.

  7. Pull on the bracket to ensure it is secure on the hard hat/helmet.

  8. To remove, place fingers under the top tab, push into the hat to release the latch, and pull upwards.
NOTE : It is up to the user’s discretion if the headlamp is compatible with other BOLT™ products. If unable to properly install headlamp, use an alternate headlamp
