FAQs
Do these work in 240V countries?
It has 110 – 240 volt on the bulb itself so I’m guessing it will work on 240v.
Does this bulb remember the previous state (color, on/off state) when coming back from a power outage?
I just had a power outage this past week…..bulbs are set to turn on/off at certain times and since the outage, they are still working as they were set.
How do you control this light via Alexa? don’t see a sunco skill to do so. the constant use “smartlife” app seems to be bs and does not work typ.
You connect the smart life app to Alexa; the instructions are with the bulbs. The smart life app isn’t the best but for these bulbs it does a pretty good job.
Are these weather resistant? I’m looking to use them outside..
In the description, it says they are rated for damp, not wet. I bought them for outside, for the downlights that are covered by the eves, on my house.
Must the remote have line of sight to the bulb, is the sensor in the bulb? Will the remote work for bulbs in metal spot fixture pointed away from it?
It uses an app. As long as your 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi signal is decent through the house. You have no issues. It uses Wi-Fi network, not a remote where you point at the light.
I can set these right by the router and they won’t connect, have tried multiple bulbs. Is it the light source (Wi-Fi) in the app? Any ideas?
If you have a dual speed router you may need to do the phone app set up from as far away as 100-200 feet away, to take advantage of the 2.4 speed greater range. This may avoid the router trying to use 5 speed, which may not work with these lights. See, the Q&A, about set up. Also, take a look on YouTube. Another way to get them set up is to turn off the 5K at the router.
Are these spotlights?
Yes, our PAR20 Smart bulbs have a beam angle of 40°.
Can these be used in outdoor under eave in area with 4 seasons?
I’m positive it will work as long as it protected from weather elements like snow and rain , but you better have a Wi-Fi booster to ensure Wi-Fi connection is stable or it will be annoying.
Works in 220v?
No.
Will these connect to WIZ motion sensors?
No, these bulbs are not compatible with photo controls, occupancy or motion sensors, or timing devices.
can these be dimmed with a switch, not just the app?
After reading the questions and answers here I’m even more confused if they can be dimmed with a light switch or not. I’ve bought color changing bulbs before that were controlled by a remote and weren’t smart bulbs. The switch dimmed them but one would always flash.
Does this work with Apple Homekit?
Yes, it does.
What’s the app name?
Smart Life.
What is the CRI of these bulbs?
These bulbs have a CRI of 80.
will it work with the magic home app?
No, you have to download smart life app for them to be voice controlled.
