Instruction Manual

FOR PARTICLE FILTERS, GAS CARTRIDGES, AND COMBINED FILTERS
All filters are compatible with Breath Buddy’s half mask respirators 650 and 750 series, as well as the full-face respirator 550 series. There is also the availability of filters against particles, gases, vapors, and combined.
The use limitations of these respirators depend on the type of filter they are used with, as well as the condition of the environment users work in. contaminant concentration type of work, etc.
For effective and proper use of the filters, carefully read the following instructions and keep this document for further consultation.

WARNING

  1. These filters do not supply oxygen. Do not use in the atmosphere containing less than 19.5% oxygen.
  2. Caution must be given in an oxygen-enriched environment (ignition) and prohibit entering an explosive atmosphere (i.e., through solvent)
  3. Filters should not be used in firefighting or work with open flames, or molten metal since the combustion of the activated carbon contained in the filter can generate a high level of toxic substances.
  4. The right filter must be chosen according to concentration and type of contaminant in each use.
  5. It must not be used as protection against carbon monoxide
  6. The filter must not be modified or altered.
  7. The filter doesn’t require repair or maintenance
  8. Leave the working area in case of respirator being damaged, breathing difficulty, and/or dizziness or nausea, or filter’s  unintentionally detachment
  9. Respirators with filter can not be used in containers, wells, sewers, or closed places with no ventilation.

BEFORE EACH USE

  1. Read our instructions carefully.
  2. Make sure the type of the filter is correct for the intended use.
  3. Make sure you have two filters of the same type for each respirator
  4. Make sure that the filter, as well as the respirator, does not present any type of tearing, distortions, dent, or dirt, otherwise disposed it.
  5. Make sure the filter is in its original packaging.
  6. The filter must be inspected before its use. In case of saturation, distortion, and/or expiration, it must be replaced.

901, 902, 903, 902P3R, 903P3R, 805P3, 806P3, 803P3 Filters. Match the filter plastic connection with the filter holder on the respirator.
Press, and turn the filter all the way clockwise. Repeat it for the second filter.
Assemble 803P3 filter to 901, or 902 filter through 150 adaptors. Place the 150 adaptors on the 901 or 902 filter and tighten them together until it clicks. Once the adaptor has been installed, match the plastic filter connection on the 803P3 filter with the filter holder on the adaptor.
Press and turn 803P3 filter all the way clockwise. Repeat it for the second filter.
Note: Don’t remove the 150 Adaptor once installed. Removing or reusing the adaptor can cause seal loss, overexposure, illness, or even death.

STORAGE

Filters are supplied inside the hermetic packaging. Without taking filter out of its original packaging, keep it in a dry and fresh environment.
Avoid high levels of humidity and prevent direct exposure to heat or sunlight.
Once it is used, or to be moved, it is advised to keep the filter in its original packaging or in the hermetic bag.
The respirator also needs to be stored in the hermetic bag without filters.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION

All filters must not be cleaned. They also do not need maintenance nor need to be repaired in case of any damage. The replacement of the filters must be determined through the implementation of the respiratory protection system, which ensures that they are replaced before the end of their service life.

EXPIRATION

All filters have the expiration date printed which will be valid as long as they are stored sealed in their original packaging and following the storage recommendation given in this  document

LIMITATION OF USE

The use of filters must comply with current legislation, regulations about respiratory protection, and regulation from various official bodies.

FILTER DISPOSAL

Once filters have been used, they must be disposed of off according to the current national legislation.
