IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR GALANZ RETRO KETTLE.

WARNING: Do not remove lid while the water is boiling. -
Never fill the kettle more than its capacity – ensure the water level is between the minimum and maximum marks. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.

Always make sure that the lid is fitted properly and do not remove while the water is boiling.
CAUTION: The outside surface of the kettle will get hot during use. -
Ensure the kettle is switched off before removing it from the base.

This appliances has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX
BEFORE FIRST USE
Before using your Retro Kettle for the first time, be sure to:
- Review all warnings in IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
- Please read the operating instructions thoroughly and keep them in a safe place for future reference.
- Before using the kettle for the first time, fill to the maximum mark and allow to boil. Pour out the boiled water and then repeat the process. If a slight taste or odor remains, repeat the above process once more.
START USING YOUR RETRO KETTLE
HOW TO USE

Place the kettle on a flat level surface.

Fill the kettle with water to the desired level ensuring that it is above the MIN mark and below the MAX mark.

Place the lid on the kettle and place it onto the base.
-
Insert the power base plug (with dry hands) into the socket.
-
Push down the power on/off switch. The light on the bottom edge will illuminate and the water will begin to boil.
NOTE: Boiling a full kettle of water (1.7 litres) takes about 7 minutes. -
At the end of the boiling cycle, the power on/off switch will automatically switch off.

Wait until the water has finished boiling before removing it from the power bases.
NOTE: Do not take the kettle from the power base right after the power switch flips up because the boiled water may spill out from the spout. It is recommended to take the kettle 30 seconds after the water is boiled. -
Ensure the lid is correctly fitted before pouring boiling water. Beware of scalding.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
- Do not clean your kettle in a dishwasher.
- Always disconnect the kettle from the main power supply before cleaning.
- Wipe the outside of the kettle with a soft damp cloth. Never clean any part of the kettle with harsh or abrasive cleaners.
- Do not submerge any part of the base, mains cable or kettle in water or any other liquids.
DECLASSIFICATION OF YOUR KETTLE
- The frequency of the declassification depends on the hardness of the water in your area and how often the appliance is used.
- If the kettle switches off before it boils or has a white deposit building up inside then it probably needs to be decalcified.
- Do not use vinegar. Only use a commercially available declassification agent. Carefully follow the quantities recommended in the instructions of the agent.
PRODUCT WARRANTY
This warranty applies to products sold by Galanz Americas in the U.S. This
warranty is in lieu of any other warranty and expressly applies to the
individual product only.
Galanz product is warrantied for one year following purchase for defects in
material and workmanship. Please save your receipt as proof of purchase is
required to make a warranty claim. During this warranty period, we will
provide the replacement cost of this product, a replacement of an equivalent
product, or repair per our discretion.
The warranty cannot be transferred through resale, including the resale
through a 3rd party unauthorized retailer and is only bestowed upon the
original consumer purchaser upon purchase from an authorized retailer.
This warranty does not cover and excludes damages or defects caused by:
- Consumer misuse
- Abuse
- Neglect including the failure to clean and/or provide adequate regular maintenance as outlined in the user manual
- Commercial use
- Subjecting the product to any voltage outside the specified range
- Loss of parts
- The affixing of any attachments not provided with the product
- Use in a manner not intended and outlined in the user manual
- Any subsequent damages caused by the above listed exclusions will not be covered and any claims determined to meet the above exclusions will be denied. All liability is limited to the purchase price and does not include any:

Every implied warranty, including any statutory warranty of merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose is disclaimed except to the extent prohibited
by law, in which case such warranty is limited to the duration of this written
warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other
legal rights that vary depending on where you live. Some states do not allow
limitations on implied warranties or special, incidental, or consequential
damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
