INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
How to Adjust the BOV
Step 1: With the included shortest spring, the cap should be all of the
way tight. If the piston is open too much at part throttle, then the Blue
spring should be used with the cap fully tight and so on.
Step 2: If with the Red (longest) spring is too stiff and not blowing off enough, then adjust the cap softer (counterclockwise.) or move back to the Blue spring.
How to Change Springs in the BOV
Step 1: Remove your BOV from the vehicle, and turn the end cap counterclockwise until you can remove the cap. Apply pressure to the cap while doing this. Remove the cap, spring, and piston. Check your O-rings on the piston. Re-install the piston into the body, install the correct spring for your application into the piston. Re-install the end cap, NOTE: the spring needs to be seated into the groove of the end cap. Tighten all the way down. Don’t loosen the cap to where the O-ring is visible, you will lose vacuum pressure. (Figure 2).
