Thank you for purchasing this ACCUR8 product. This user manual is to be considered a component of the device. Read carefully before using the device. Keep in a safe place for future reference. When the device is sold or given to someone else, the user manual must be provided to the new owner/user of the product. General Safety Instructions

Risk of electric shock
Only use the device as described in the manual; otherwise, you run the risk of an electric shock.

  • Children must only use the device under adult supervision.
  • Disconnect the device from the power supply before starting any maintenance or cleaning of the device.
  • Position your device so that it can be disconnected from the power supply at any time. The power socket should be installed near the device and should be easily accessible as the mains cable plug is used to disconnect the device from the power supply.
  • Before starting up the device, check the device, the cables, and the connections for signs of damage.
  • To disconnect the device from the power supply, always pull on the plug. Never pull on the cable.
  • Never use a damaged device or a device with damaged live parts.
  • Only use the display console in completely dry environment and do not touch it with wet or moist parts of your body.

Risk of suffocation/choking

  • Keep packaging materials (plastic bags, rubber bands etc.) away from children. They can cause suffocation.
  • This product contains small parts that could be swallowed by children. There is a risk of choking.

Risk of fire/explosion

  • Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the supplied power supply or the recommended batteries. Do not short-circuit the device or batteries or throw them into a fire. Excessive heat or improper handling could trigger a short circuit, a fire, or an explosion.

Risk of damage to property

  • Never disassemble the device. In the event of a fault, please contact your retailer.
  • Do not expose this device to high temperatures and protect it from water and high humidity.
  • Do not immerse the unit in water.
  • Protect the device from severe shocks or excessive vibrations.
  • For this device, only use accessories and spare parts that comply with the technical information.
  • Use only the recommended batteries. Always replace weak or empty batteries with a new, complete set of batteries at full capacity. Do not use batteries from different brands or with different capacities. Remove the batteries from the unit if it has not been used for a long time.
  • Rechargeable batteries are not recommended.

Risk of voltage damage
The manufacturer is not liable for voltage damage due to improperly inserted batteries or through the use of an improper power adaptor.

Initial Setup

Plugging in the adaptor automatically switches on the backlight of the display console, then pressing SNZ / LIGHT button, sets the backlight brightness HI > LO > OFF
Note: If the Display Console is powered solely by batteries; in order to conserve battery power, the display console screen will illuminate for a few seconds after the SNZ/LIGHT button is pressed, then will go dim until the SNZ/LIGHT button is pressed again.
Insert batteries in the display console

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover
  2. Insert 3 x AAA batteries
  3. Reattach the battery compartment cover

Insert batteries in the remote sensors

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover
  2. Select a channel
  3. Insert 2 x AAA batteries
  4. Reattach the battery compartment cover
  5. Place each sensor within 30 m (98 ft) of the display console.

Radio-controlled Time Reception

  1. RCC reception is initiated when the display console is powered up
  2. To manually start RCC reception; in Setting mode, press and hold the DOWN button to start searching for the radio-controlled time signal.

Important notes:

  • It can help to place the display console near an open window while it is searching for the radiocontrolled time signal
  • When searching for the radio-controlled time signal, the display screen will be dimmed
  • If the display console will still not receive the RCC signal, please proceed to set the time manually.

Manual Time Setting

  1. In Normal mode, press MODE for three seconds to enter the Time Setting mode.
  2. Setting order: hour > minute > year > month > day > 12 / 24hr > exit
  3. Press MODE to confirm the setting result and move to the next setting item
  4. Press UP to increase the value by one unit; press and hold UP for more than two seconds to advance at eight steps per second
  5. Press DOWN, to decrease the value by one unit; press and hold DOWN for more than two seconds decrease eight steps per second
    No changes to settings within 20 seconds will save the settings and exit.

Alarm Setting

  1. In the standard mode, press the MODE button to view the alarm time, press the UP or DOWN switch on/off the Alarm
  2. In Alarm mode, press MODE button for three seconds to enter Alarm setting mode
  3. Setting order: hour > minute > exit
  4. In the setting, press UP and DOWN to adjust the setting item, press SET to confirm
  5. Alarm ringing time is two minutes
  6. When the alarm is on, press SNZ / LIGHT to delay the alarm for five minutes. To stop the alarm, press any other button.

Viewing Maximum and Minimum Recorded Values

Press MEM to view the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values recorded.
In maximum and minimum modes, press and hold for three seconds to clear the maximum and minimum values.
Day of Week Display Receiving the Remote Sensor (RF) Signals

  1. When powered on, the display automatically seeks to receive the RF signal for three minutes, and the antenna icon will flash.
  2. Once the signal is received, the display will receive the outdoor temperature and humidity at the same time.
  3. In standard mode, press CH once to change RF channel.
  4. Press and hold CH to re-register RF data for all channels
  5. In the case of RF registration failure or missing code time for more than one hour, the temperature and humidity section will flash “–.-”.
  6. To manually initiate a remote sensor search, press and hold CH.

Temperature Trend Indication

  1. When the temperature rises by 1°C / 2°F, the arrow points up
  2. When the temperature drops by 1°C / 2°F, the arrow points down
  3. If no change, there will be no arrow
  4. The temperature comparison is the current data with the data for the previous three hours. Data isrecorded every 30 minutes.

Your home’s weather forecast is indicated by six icons.

Measurement Specifications

Indoor Temperature

  • Temperature range 0°C to 50°C
  • Precision ± 1°C (0°C to 50°C)
  • Resolution 0.1°C
    If the temperature is below 0°C, the display shows ‘Lo’, if higher than 50°C, it shows ‘Hi’.

Indoor and Outdoor Humidity

  • Humidity 20% to 99%
  • Precision +/- 5 % RH (30%RH to 85%RH)
  • Precision +/- 10% RH (20%RH to 30%RH; 85%RH to 99%RH)
  • Resolution 1% RH
    If the humidity is below 20%, the display shows ‘Lo’, if higher than 99%, it shows ‘Hi’.

Outdoor Temperature

  • Temperature range -40°C to 70°C
  • Precision ± 1°C (0°C to 50°C), ± 2°C (-40°C to 0°C; 50°C to 70°C)
  • Resolution 0.1°C
    If the temperature is below -40°C, the display shows ‘Lo’, if higher than 70°C, it shows ‘Hi’.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging materials properly, according to their type, such as paper or cardboard. Contact your local waste-disposal service or environmental authority for information on proper disposal. Do not dispose of electronic devices in the household rubbish! Used electronic devices must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. Do not dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries with the household waste. After they are used, the batteries can be returned to our point of sale or to a nearby location (for example, retailers or municipal collecting points).
Batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with a symbol of a crossed-out dustbin and the chemical symbol of the pollutant. “Cd” stands for Cadmium, “Hg” stands for mercury and “Pb” stands for lead.
