Let’s get started
STEP 1: Connect to the TV
Connect your streaming player to an HDMI port on the back of your TV with the included cable. For 4K streaming, you’ll need to use an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2.

STEP 2: Connect to power
Use the included power adaptor to connect your streaming player to a wall outlet.
STEP 3: Select input
Use your TV remote to power on your TV and select the input (source) you used to connect your streaming player.
STEP 4: Insert batteries
Slide open the cover on the back of your remote and insert the included Duracell® batteries. Your remote will pair automatically.
STEP 5: Follow the on-screen setup
Follow the instructions on your TV screen. Activate your streaming player by using your computer or smartphone to link a Roku account.

Roku does not charge for activation support – beware of scams.

When you press buttons, it doesn’t have to be directed directly at your Roku® streaming player or Roku TVTM because it’s connected across a wireless network. This enables you to mount your Roku gadget behind a wall-mounted TV or in another close-by, concealed position.
Is there a way to connect Bluetooth headphones straight to the box without using that awful app for private listening?****
With a connected device, such as a phone or tablet, customers may cast their favorite music, podcasts, and more to their TV via Bluetooth® Streaming on the 2020 Ultra. When using your own wireless headphones for private listening, you’ll still use the Roku mobile app. To enable private listening on the digital remote interface, simply open the app, connect or pair your headphones with your phone or tablet, and then plug them in. You only need to look for the headphones icon to be ready.
What makes the Roku Ultra superior than the Streaming Stick Plus?****

You can use AirPlay on an iPhone to send a video from your phone to your Roku and watch it on your TV. Concerning Android phones, I’m unsure.

It’s not a DVR, no. While some live streams are available to watch. Since the majority of its programming is available anytime you feel like watching it, it largely functions as a streaming on demand box, thus you don’t need to record anything.
Will the Ultra’s USB port allow me to connect a separate AV player to it for stereo audio?****
Yes, if you mean playing media that has been stored on a hard drive or USB thumb drive. The HDMI port is used if you merely want to stream content from it to your AV receiver. You won’t be able to utilize your AVR if it doesn’t have an HDMI connector.
