Attach sensors

Insert or attach
If your water heater is tankless, place the black temperature sensor as close as possible to the air exhaust so it touches the hottest part of the air exhaust.
Tip: PowerX measures the temperature of the hot air for efficiency reasons. Do not place PowerX temperature sensors into or close to fire.

If your water heater has a tank or a heating chamber, place the black temperature sensor as close as possible to the hot tank to measure the water temperature inside the tank.
Tip: Many tank water heaters have an inlet for temperature measurement that allows the black water heater cable to touch inner water tank once pushed in gently.

Secure hot/cold temperature sensors

Secure the blue temperature sensor to the cold water pipe using a zip tie. Likewise, secure the red temperature sensor to the hot water pipe.
NOTE: Use caution when working near the hot water pipe.PowerX-Water-
