SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using an electrical appliance, you should always take basic safety measures. Always keep the following in mind:

  • Read all instructions.

  • To prevent electric shock, do not immerse the base in water or any other liquid.

  • Children must be closely supervised if they are using the appliance.

  • The appliance is not intended to be used by people with reduced physical or mental capabilities or with limited experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or are given instructions on how to use the appliance by a person who is responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

  • This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and older, people with reduced physical or mental capabilities, or people with a lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised by an adult or are given instructions on how to use the appliance safely and understand the hazards involved. Do not allow small children to play with the product. Do not allow children under 8 years of age to clean or carry out normal maintenance on the appliance without adult supervision. Store the appliance and power cord out of the reach of small children under 8 years of age.

  • Always disconnect the appliance when not in use, before removing or attaching parts and before cleaning.

  • The use of accessories or tools not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury.

  • Do not use the appliance outdoors.

  • • This appliance is intended for indoor household use only.
    The appliance is intended for household use and similar uses, such as:

    • staff kitchens in shops, offices and other work environments

    • hotels, motel rooms and other accommodation
    • bed and breakfasts
  • Do not leave the cord hanging over worktop edges and the like.

  • Keep the appliance away from hot surfaces, hobs, burners and heated ovens.

  • Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.

  • Switch the appliance off and unplug it before cleaning, maintaining or moving it, and when not in use.

  • Always unplug the appliance from the electrical socket when it is not in use.

  • Do not switch on the appliance if it is upside down or on its side.

  • Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

  • If the cord has been damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service centre or a qualified person to avoid injury.

  • No parts can be repaired or replaced by the user.

  • Save these instructions.

GET STARTED

  1. Rinse all removable parts in hot soapy water before first use. DO NOT submerge base of unit in water or liquid. Base can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
  2. Thoroughly dry all parts.
  3. Unwind the power cord to desired length and place the egg boiler on a clean dry surface.
  4. Position the egg cooking rack over the base of the unit. The flat side of the egg cooking rack should be facing upward. If using omelet tray or poaching tray, place it on top of the egg rack.
  5. Place the lid on top of the cooking tray.
  6. Plug in power cord. (Secure that the knob switch is always in position “OFF” before plugging in the power cord.)
  7. Your egg boiler is now assembled for use.

USE

  1. Choose soft, medium or hard cooked eggs.
  2. Place the egg boiler on a clean, dry surface.
  3. Remove lid and other parts.
  4. Decide how you want to cook your eggs. Find the marking for soft, medium or hard on the measuring beaker and fill with cold water. NOTE: The range is a guide and water levels may need to be adjusted to achieve desired doneness.
  5. Pour cold water into base/heating plate.
  6. Place the egg cooking rack on top of the base, the flat side should be facing upwards.
  7. Rinse the number of eggs desired, cook up to 6 eggs at a time.
  8. Use the piercing pin underneath the beaker and pierce each egg on the top side and place in the cooking rack.
  9. Place the lid on top of the unit and turn the switch on to the desired cooking mode, soft, medium or hard. Indicator light will be lit. Only start the appliance with the lid on.
  10. When the eggs are finished the appliance will turn itself off and the buzzer will sound.
  11. Turn the switch to off-mode, remove the lid and immediately rinse the eggs in cold water to prevent overcooking.

FOR SOFT, MEDIUM OR HARD COOKED EGGS

  1. Place the egg boiler on a clean, dry surface.
  2. Remove lid and other parts.
  3. Decide how you want to cook your eggs. Find the marking for soft, medium or hard on the measuring beaker and fill with cold water. NOTE: The range is a guide and water levels may need to be adjusted to achieve desired doneness.
  4. Pour cold water into base/heating plate.
  5. Place the egg cooking rack on top of the base, the flat side should be facing upwards.
  6. Rinse the number of eggs desired, cook up to 6 eggs at a time.
  7. Use the piercing pin underneath the beaker and pierce each egg on the top side and place in the cooking rack.
  8. Place the lid on top of the unit and turn the switch on to the desired cooking mode, soft, medium or hard. Indicator light will be lit. Only start the appliance with the lid on.
  9. When the eggs are finished the appliance will turn itself off and the buzzer will sound.
  10. Turn the switch to off-mode, remove the lid and immediately rinse the eggs in cold water to prevent overcooking.

FOR POACHED EGGS

  1. place the egg boiler on a clean, dry surface.

  2. Remove lid and other parts.

  3. Fill the measuring beaker with cold water up to the marking for medium.
    NOTE: The range is a guide and water levels may need to be adjusted to achieve desired consistency.

  4. Pour cold water into base/heating plate.

  5. Place the egg cooking rack on top of the base, the flat side should be facing upwards.

  6. Lightly butter or spray vegetable oil on poaching tray.

  7. Break one egg for each poaching sections, cooks up to 3 eggs.

  8. Place the poaching tray on top of the egg rack.

  9. Place the lid on top of the unit and turn the switch on to medium cooking mode. Indicator light will be lit. Only start the appliance with the lid on.

  10. When the eggs are finished the appliance will turn itself off and the buzzer will sound.

  11. Turn the switch to off-mode, remove the lid and immediately, also remove the eggs to prevent overcooking.

FOR OMELETS

  1. Place the egg boiler on a clean, dry surface.
  2. Remove lid and other parts.
  3. Fill the measuring beaker with cold water up to the marking for soft. NOTE: The range is a guide and water levels may need to be adjusted to achieve desired consistency.
  4. Pour cold water into base/heating plate.
  5. Place the egg cooking rack on top of the base, the flat side should be facing upwards.
  6. Lightly butter or spray vegetable oil on omelet tray.
  7. Break up to 2 eggs into a separate bowl and mix, add extra liquid for best result e.g., water or milk. Pour the mix into the omelet tray.
  8. Place the omelet tray on top of the egg rack.
  9. Place the lid on top of the unit and turn the switch on to soft cooking mode. Indicator light will be lit. Only start the appliance with the lid on.
  10. When the omelet is finished the appliance will turn itself off and the buzzer will sound.
  11. Turn the switch to off-mode, remove the lid and immediately, also remove the omelet to prevent overcooking.
  12. Use a kitchen utensil, e.g., spatula to remove the omelet from the tray.

CARE AND CLEANING

Always unplug the egg boiler from the electrical outlet and allow to cool down before cleaning. Some residue water in the base is normal after use.

WARNING! Base is extremely hot after use.

  • Allow unit to cool before handling or cleaning.
  • Do not submerge base of unit in water or liquid.
  • Wash all removable parts in hot soapy water. Thoroughly dry all parts and place next to the unit or store them when not in use.
  • Wipe the body housing with a damp cloth.
  • Clean heating plate with a damp cloth.
  • To remove any mineral remains; Use a paper towel moistened with one tablespoon white vinegar.
  • NOTE: If the base is not cleaned regularly, minerals naturally occurring in water will build up and cause discoloration of eggshells. However, discoloration of the eggshells does not affect the taste of the eggs.
  • Use the cord wrap feature located underneath the unit to store extra cord.
    Place the egg rack, omelet tray and poaching tray inside the egg boiler to store.

ENVIRONMENT AND RECYCLING

When the product is used up, leave it for recycling according to local waste disposal regulations. Note that the product must not be disposed of with normal household waste.

RIGHT OF COMPLAINT
By law the product must be returned to the place of purchase along with the original receipt in the event of a complaint. The user is liable for any damage to the product that is caused by not using the product for its intended purpose or by not following this user manual correctly. The right of complaint will not apply in these instances.
