Installation Guide

Section 1: Description

The Endless Pools Fit@Home app works with your mobile device to control your Endless Pool swim current and underwater treadmill. The app allows you to create and customize workouts with multiple exercises and intervals to accommodate your personal needs. The simple installation of the Wi-Fi kit gives you the ability to utilize the Fit@Home app to conveniently control all aspects of your Endless Pool workouts.

Section 3: Wi-Fi Kit Installation Instructions

WARNING
Electrical power must be shut off to the pool prior to doing any work on the pool.

Locate the Hydraulic Power Unit Controller (Figure 1). Remove the front cover by unthreading the (4) screws around the perimeter of the enclosure. On the left side of the controller’s enclosure, punch out the small knockout using a hammer and screwdriver (Figure 2). If a swim current and treadmill have been purchased with two separate hydraulic power units, the Wi-Fi card will be installed inside the treadmill controller. A board to board communication cable will then be installed between the two separate controllers. Punch out the communication cable knockouts on both the swim current and treadmill controllers (Figure 2). If a swim current and treadmill have been purchased with a tandem hydraulic power unit, the Wi-Fi card will be installed on the treadmill circuit board (Figure 3).
Install the sealing washer on the male end of the Wi-Fi cable making sure the rubber side of the washer is facing out.
From inside the enclosure of the controller, route the male end of the Wi-Fi cable through the knockout on the side of the enclosure.
On the outside of the controller’s enclosure, install the provided washer and nut onto the Wi-Fi cable. Tighten the nut with a small wrench to secure the Wi-Fi cable to the enclosure.
Thread the female end of the Wi-Fi cable onto the connector of the Wi-Fi card.
Align the pins on the back of the Wi-Fi card to the small holes in the Wi-Fi card receptacle located on the circuit board.
Carefully connect the Wi-Fi card to the receptacle on the circuit board, making sure ALL the pins on the Wi-Fi card are aligned properly. It’s important to ensure the Wi-Fi card is secured and seated properly. Inserting the Wi-Fi card in the wrong direction or improperly can cause damage.
Thread the Wi-Fi antenna onto the Wi-Fi cable and angle the antenna towards the top of the controller.
If BOTH a swim current and treadmill have been purchased with two separate hydraulic power units, proceed to step 10. If only a swim current/treadmill is present or a tandem power unit is present, resupply power to the pool equipment. Press the power reset button on the circuit board(s) to ensure the controller becomes Wi-Fi enabled. Reinstall the controller’s front cover. The Fit@Home app can now be downloaded and configured through your mobile device.
If BOTH a swim current and treadmill have been purchased with two separate power units, a board to board communication cable must be installed between the two controllers. Two cord grip liquid-tight fittings have been supplied for both the swim current and treadmill controllers to prevent water intrusion. Locate a ¾” liquid-tight fitting. Unthread the nut and remove the rubber insert using a small screwdriver.
Route the communication cable through the nut, rubber insert, and liquid-tight fitting. Reinstall the rubber insert and thread on the nut.
Install the communication cable and liquid-tight fitting through the communication cable knockout at the bottom of the controller from the outside in. Route the cable through the metal lock nut and thread the locknut onto the liquid-tight fitting from inside the controller.
Align the holes on the communication cable connector with the pins of the receptacle on the circuit board.
Carefully connect the communication cable to its receptacle on the circuit board.
The other end of the communication cable will connect to the second power unit controller’s circuit board. Repeat steps 10-14 to properly install the liquid-tight fitting and communication cable.
Once the communication cable has been installed in the second power unit controller, resupply power to the pool equipment. Press the power reset button on BOTH circuit boards to ensure the controllers become Wi-Fi enabled. Reinstall the controller’s front covers. The Fit@Home app can now be downloaded and configured through your mobile device.

Section 4: Fit@Home App Installation Instructions

Press the App Store icon on your mobile device. Search for Endless Pools Fit@Home and download the mobile app.
Once the Fit@Home app has been downloaded, open the app. A pop up window will appear regarding push notifications. Press “Don’t Allow.”
Press “Next” to configure your Endless Pool equipment. If your equipment is already installed, press “Setup Now.” If your equipment has not been installed and you would like a preview of the mobile app, press “Enable Demo Mode” to explore the functions and features of the Fit@Home app.
If Setup Now is selected, you will need to connect your mobile device to the controller’s Wi-Fi network. Go to the Wi-Fi settings in your mobile device. Select “EPController####” and type in the default password “swimcurrent.”
Once connected, “EPController####” will appear as the selected network. Go back into the mobile app to configure your equipment. Select the equipment that was purchased.
If a Swim Current is selected, select the swim current model that was purchased and press “Next.” The app will then search for and locate the selected equipment. If the screen does not automatically advance, press “Next” when the equipment has been found.
Select the desired units of measure for the most accurate Endless Pool workouts. Press the “Next” button to complete the equipment set up. Press the “Finish” button to begin using the app.
The Fit@Home app is now configured and ready to use. Press “Video Guides” for a tutorial on the functions and features of the app.
The EPController Wi-Fi network only allows one device to be connected at a time. If you want to connect multiple devices at the same time, the controller will need to be connected to your home Wi-Fi network. On the app home screen press “Settings.” In the settings menu select “Modify Wi-Fi Settings.”
On the Wi-Fi settings page, select “Connect Through My Home Wi-Fi Network.” Enter your home Wi-Fi network name and password. These fields are case and spelling sensitive. Press “Save Settings” to save your network settings. Verify your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network the controller is connected to. After the controller reboots, the Fit@Home app is ready to use.
