INSTRUCTION MANUAL

RAD 2000 / RAD 2010

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

General:

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.
  2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  3. WARNING: In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
  4. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent in order to avoid hazards.
  5. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.
  6. Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.
  7. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
  8. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  9. Make sure the appliance has been unplugged before cleaning.
  10. This appliance must be installed following the national regulations for electrical installations.
  11. This appliance is for household use only.

  13. WARNING: In case of misuse, there is a risk of possible injury.

Specific:

  1. The meaning of figure WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
  2. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
  3. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
  4. CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
  5. The device should not be placed immediately below a socket base.
  6. Do not place a heater in use near curtains, furniture, wood panelling or combustible material which can deteriorate with heat.
  7. Do not use this heater in the immediate vicinity of a bath, shower or pool.
  8. This radiator is filled with an exact amount of special oil. Repairs that require opening the container of oil should only be undertaken by the manufacturer or its authorized service, which should be notified if your radiator is leaking oil.
  9. Regulations concerning the disposal of the oil when scraping the appliance have to be followed.
  10. Always disconnect the heater from the main supply when not in use and when cleaning.
  11. Keep the heater a distance of at least 90cm from any combustible material such us furniture, curtains, bedding, cloths or papers.
  12. Do not attempt to open any part of the oil fins.
  13. Keep the heater clean. Do not allow objects to enter the ventilation, as this may cause electric shock, fire or damage the heater.

Assembly

The oil radiator is packed with the wheels not assembled. Please make sure that they are right assembled before turning the device on.

Remove the heater and all the accessories from the carton.

  1. Turn the radiator upside down carefully and place it over a carpet or any other soft surface in order not to damage the unit.
  2. Pass the “U bolt” in between the last and next-to-last fin and make it fit the holes of one of the support. Screw the U bolt to the curved support with the help of the wing nuts. Then, screw the wheels to the support. See picture below.
  3. Repeat step 2 in between the first and the second fin, using the other support.
  4. Turn the heater the right way up. The unit should be as shown in below picture

Using the thermostat and power knobs
Plug in the power cord, the device will emit a beep. Then press the “ON/OFF” key to enter in “working mode”. To enter “standby” mode, press the “ON/OFF” key again.

Powers (W)

  • LOW (1000W)
  • MEDIUM (1500W)
  • HIGH (2000W)

Temperature
When the device is on “working mode”, press and hold either “+” or “-” to set your desired temperature. After setting the temperature, do not press any buttons for 5 seconds and the device will exit the temperature setting screen.

Safety protection function.
When the room temperature exceeds 50°C, all outputs are turned off and the device will emit a 10 second beep. The digital display will show a flashing “FF”.

Timer function
To schedule “working mode”, press the “timer” key in “standby mode” to enter the timer setting screen. Press the’+” or “-” to set the desired time. When the timer reaches the settled time, the device will enter in working mode.

To schedule “standby mode”, press the “timer” key in “working mode” to enter the timer setting screen. Press the”+” or “-” to set the desired time. When the timer reaches the set time , the device will enter in standby mode.
The timer can be set between 0-24hours.
When the display shows “OH”, there is not set time.
To exit the timer setting screen, press the timer function key , or don’t press any buttons for 5 second,

Cleaning your oil radiator

  1. Always disconnect the heater from the mains supply before cleaning.
  2. Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a damp cloth and buff with a dry cloth.
  3. DO NOT use waxes or polishes as these may react with the heater and cause discolouration.

Storing your oil radiator

  1. Save the box for off season storage.
  2. Clean the heater following the cleaning instructions above.
  3. Remove the wheel base assemblies.
  4. Place the radiator, and wheel assemblies in the original box, and store in a cool and dry place.
  5. If you choose to store your heater fully assembled, be sure to cover it to protect it from dust.

Disposal of old electrical appliances.
The European directive 2012/19/UE on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to a optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.
