INSTRUCTION

PLEASE FIND A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN FOR INSTALLATION. Please read the instructions before you install and use the luminaire.

The LED PLL Lamp retrofits a maximum of four lamps, type Non-IC or type IC recessed mounted fluorescent luminaries with diffuser that uses 36W CFL PLL lamps.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

RISK OF SHOCK: DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLATION
Risk of fire or electric shock – Retrofit kit installation requires knowledge of electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
Risk of fire or electric shock. – Install this kit only in the luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or
drawings and where the input rating of the retrofit kit does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire. To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects. Installers should not disconnect existing wires from the lamp holder terminals to make new connections at lamp holder terminals. Instead installers
should cut existing lamp holder leads away from the lamp holder and make new electrical connections to lamp holder lead wires by employing application
connectors.
THIS RETROFIT IS ACCEPTED AS A COMPONENT OF A LUMINAIRE WHERE THE SUITABILITY OF THE COMBINATION SHALL BE DETERMINED BY AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Product should be installed by a qualified electrician.
  • Do not use LED driver with the product.
  • Not for use with dimmers.
  • The end retrofit luminaire has been modified and can no longer operate the originally intended lamp.
  • Caution-Risk of Electric Shock-Use in Dry and Damp Locations Only.
  • Suitable for enclosed fixtures.
  • Risk of Electric shock-Do Not Use Where Directly Exposed To Water.
  • This device is not intended for use with emergency exit fixtures or emergency exit lights.

WARNING DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICING.

RETROFIT FLUORESCENT LUMINAIRE WITH ELECTRIC BALLAST

  1. STEP 1: Shut off the power before you start.

  2. STEP 2: Remove the existing fluorescent tube(s), and diffuser (if applicable) and open the ballast cover.

  3. STEP 3: Disconnect the luminaire supply wirings L and N to branch circuit as shown in Fig. 1
    WARNING DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICING.

  4. STEP 4: Original circuit as shown in Fig.2. Cut lamp holder leads “1, 2, 3, 4”, then connect one lead from each lamp holder to the branch circuit as follows, “Leads 1 and 2” connected to L; “Leads 3 and 4” connected to N as shown in Fig. 3. Cut as far away from the lamp holders as possible to allow for longer lengths of wires at both lamp holders. Note: The ballast must be retained in place.

  5. STEP 5: Attach the included caution label to the luminaire. Install ballast cover and diffuser(if applicable) back on luminaire.
