Praxisdienst Biopsy Punch 3.0 mm

Read instructions carefully before use. Sterile, for single use only. Do not re-sterilize.
A punch biopsy is a standardized method to get skin specimens.

Instructions for Use

  1. Prepare skin area
    Sterilize skin area with alcohol.

  2. Anesthetize the skin
    Anesthetize the area to be biopsied by injecting a solution of
    Lidocaine-HCL 1% subepidermal.

  3. Punch Biopsy of the skin
    Hold the punch between the thumb and index finger. Apply slight pressure and turn the punch until the blade has pierced the skin.
    Remove the blade from the skin, clean it from blood.

  4. Excision of skin biopsy
    Gently grip and raise skin sample with anatomical tweezers.
    Separate carefully with a scalpel at base.

  5. Wound closure
    For wounds ≤ 4mm gently compress or close with tape.
    For wounds ≥ 4mm close with suture, clip or adhesive strip as appropriate.

  • To be used only by health care professionals, not by patients.
  • Don’t use if the primary pack (blister) is damaged.
