WARNING:
- It is important that you read, fully understand, and observe the following safety precautions and warnings. Read these instructions periodically. Careless or improper use of your Venta Airwasher may cause serious or even fatal injury. Keep this User Manual with your Airwasher. Be sure anyone using your Airwasher understands the information contained in this manual.
- Children should not be allowed to operate the Airwasher.
- Always switch the motor off and unplug the power cord from the AC outlet before refilling it with water or Venta Cleaner, or before moving, or handling the unit.
- Plug into 120 V AC outlet only. Do not use your Airwasher if the power cord or plug is damaged. Unplug a damaged power cord immediately from the AC outlet and let it replace only by Venta. Do not replace a damaged power cord by yourself.
- Do not attempt any repair work. Maintenance or servicing the Venta Airwasher, other than described in this user manual, should only be done by Venta. Any modification to your Venta Airwasher is extremely dangerous and voids your warranty.
- Do not insert any objects into the air intake of the unit. It may damage the fan blades or cause injuries. After the motor is switched off, the fan continues to rotate for a short period of time.
- Do not use or store this product where it can fall or be pulled into a bath tub, sink, water, or other liquid. Do not reach for a unit that has fallen into water or other liquid. Do not immerse in water or other liquid, even when the unit is unplugged at that time. Moisture can cause an electric shock hazard when the unit is again plugged into the AC outlet. Wipe moisture off the unit with a dry cloth. Do not handle the power cord or the unit with wet hands.
- Use only genuine Venta fragrances.
- Do not add fragrance oil to the water. This may impair the function of the Hygiene Disc.
- Only use original Venta additives. Venta Air Technologies Inc. accepts no liability for damage which may be caused by the use of other additives.
- Never overfill the Airwasher.
- Never transport or overbalance the Airwasher with a filled water basin.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
FOR INSTALLATION / WARNING
- Plug the power cord into a wall socket with the power specifications of the product or higher and use the socket for this appliance only. In addition, do not use an extension cord.
➔ Sharing a wall socket with other appliances using a multi outlet power strip or extending the power cord may result in electric shock or fire.
➔ Do not use an electric transformer. It may result in electric shock or fire.
➔ If the voltage/frequency/rated current condition is different, it may cause electric shock or fire.
FOR INSTALLATION / WARNING
- Do not install this appliance near a heater, inflammable material. Do not install this appliance in a humid, oily or dusty location, in a location exposed to direct sunlight and water (rain drops). Do not install this appliance in a location where gas may leak.

FOR INSTALLATION / CAUTION

The appliance should be installed in a place where the power cord of the product can be easily pulled out.

Install your appliance on a level and hard floor that can support its weight.
➔ Failure to do so may result in abnormal vibrations, noise, or problems with the product. -
There should be over 6 in. space around the appliance.
➔ If space for air intake is not enough, humidification capacity may decrease.
➔ If the appliance is too near wall side, the wall paper may get damaged. -
When installing the product, make sure that no heavy objects are on the power cord.

FOR POWER CORD / WARNING

Unplug the product, and then remove foreign substances (dust, moisture, etc.) of the power plug terminal or power plug connection part with a dry cloth on a regular basis.
➔ Otherwise, electric shock or fire may occur. -
When the product, power plug or power cord is damaged, contact your nearest service center.

Plug the power plug into the wall socket firmly. Do not use a damaged power plug, damaged power cord or loose wall socket.
➔ Failure to do so may result in electric shock or fire. -
When unplugging the product, do not pull the power cord. Grip the power plug, and then pull the power plug.
➔ Otherwise, electric shock or fire may occur. -
Do not pull or excessively bend the power cord. Do not twist or tie the power cord.

Do not hook the power line over a metal object, place a heavy object on the power cord, insert the power line between objects, or push the power cord into the space behind the appliance.

FOR POWER CORD / CAUTION

When the Airwasher will not be used for a long period of time or during a thunder or lightning storm, disconnect the power supply.
➔ Failure to do so may result in electric shock or fire. -
It is dangerous when the power cable gets damaged, therefore contact a service center or qualified experts for the repair.
FOR OPERATION /WARNING

If the appliance is flooded, turn off the appliance and contact a service center.

If the appliance generates a strange noise, a burning smell or smoke, disconnect the power supply immediately and contact a service center.
➔ Failure to do so may result in electric shock or fire. -
When gases (city gas, profane gas, etc.) leak, do not touch the power cord. Immediately ventilate the area and contact a service center or a qualified technician.
➔ Do not use a ventilating fan.
➔ If there is a spark, explosion or fire may occur. -
Do not unplug the appliance during operation.
➔ When plugging the appliance in again, flame may occur and it may result in electric shock or fire. -
When a repair is needed, contact the service center.

Do not place an object near the outdoor unit that makes it possible for children to climb onto the machine.

Do not put other foreign materials such as metal into the product.

If water has entered the power supply module, unplug the power cable and dry the product completely before use.

CHECK BEFORE USE
INSTALLATION STATUS
Ensure that the following installation requirements have been satisfied.
- The product should be installed on an even, level floor.
- There should be no objects blocking the air intake and outlet.
- The installation site should be dry and there should be no inflammable substances around it.
- The product should be installed at least 2 in. (6 in. is recommended) from the wall.
- When replacing the integrated Hygiene Disc, make sure to remove the plastic packaging of the new Hygiene Disc.
POWER CORD AND POWER OUTLET
- Be sure to use a dedicated 120 V electrical outlet. (When the power is applied, the product enters the standby state.)
- Unplug the power cord if it will not be used for a long period of time.

PUTTING INTO OPERATION
Attention: Ensure that the device is switched off during all actions and the switching power supply is disconnected from the outlet!
- Unpack the appliance, set it up and use the transport castors 7 to move it to the place you want. To do this, lift slightly on the right-hand side. Remove battery protection and protective foil from remote control 11.
- Open evaporator compartment 3 and remove water tank 4.
- Open water tank 4 and fill up to the MAX marker with cold water.
- Close the water tank 4 securely.
- Insert the water tank 4 into the water basin 6 and close the evaporator compartment 3.
- Adjust display 1 to the position you want (3 positions possible).
- Adjust cable connector to the length you want by winding/unwinding in cable compartment 11. Note: Make sure the cable connector is firmly fitted into the appliance.
Connect power plug to mains and switch appliance on using on/off switch 2 or
remote control 13.
It can take approx. 60 seconds for the appliance to start up and the red light on the display to go out. You will be able to hear a noise (gurgling), which is not a quality defect.

WIFI CONFIGURATION
To access WiFi configuration, first tap button 9, then the SETUP button.
Select “Select network”, then your network in the dropdown list. The “Security
type” automatically set as soon as you select the network. In the “PSK” box,
please enter your WLAN password/key (ASCII entry mode) and confirm with ENTER.
If your password contains special characters or umlauts which are not shown on
the keypad, you can generate your full password as a HEX code on our website:
www.venta-usa.com. Now enter your generated HEX
code into the “PSK” box (HEX entry mode) and confirm with ENTER. Under
“Access”, select the internet access type you require.
full access: access to all the comfort features of the app.
local access: local access to use the app.
Tap CONNECT to create the WIFI connection.
- WiFi symbol green: WiFi connection established (local access).
- WiFi symbol blue: WiFi connection established (full access).
- WiFi symbol red: No WiFi connection. Check your network and WLAN password.
- WiFi symbol grey: WiFi disabled.
If problems occur during the setup process, read the information in the section “What to do if WiFi connection is not possible?”
VENTA APP
You can use the Venta app to expand and control the appliance functions. The
app is available for smartphones and tablets. Please download the Venta app
at: www.venta-usa.com, or use the QR code.

Please log in to the menu or register as soon as you have downloaded and
opened the Venta app.
You must register so that you can control and check your Venta appliance when
you’re on the go.
You can use the search function to automatically find all local Venta
appliances.
Please select your appliance.
The appliance emits an audio signal while the app is connecting to it. Please
confirm connection to your smartphone/ tablet on the appliance.
If WiFi connection is disabled, the appliance does not connect to the Venta app.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Tap button 10 on the display to see information about maintenance. Red light indicates that this type of maintenance is due.

CLEANING| For the cleaning process, you need a (250 ml) bottle of Venta
appliance cleaner. Start the cleaning program by tapping the CLEANING button
on the display, then follow the instructions. Cleaning takes approx. 4 h. i
After 6 months (of continuous 24-hour operation), the maintenance button
lights up in red and indicates that this action is necessary.
Attention: Ensure that the device is switched off during the following actions and the power plug is disconnected from the power supply!

B CHANGE HYGIENE DISC
Open evaporator compartment. Remove VentWave™ DISC stack and unlock the drive wheel. Remove hygiene DISC and replace it. Re-assemble the appliance and switch it on. Tap button on the display to access the maintenance menu. Then tap RESET next to CHANGE HYGIENE DISC and hold for 3 seconds until the time is reset.
After 3 months, the maintenance button lights up in red and indicates that this action is necessary.
The service life of a hygiene DISC is approx. 3 months (at continuous 24-hour operation) and depends on the water hardness, water quality, daily evaporation performance and number of operating hours.
You can use the Venta Re New recycling program to return the hygiene DISC to us (see RECYCLING & DISPOSAL). -
SERVICE
Empty the residual water out of the water tank and water tray.
Clean the water tray, Vent Wave™ DISC stack and water tank under running water. Fill the water tank up to the MAX marker with fresh water. Re-assemble the appliance and switch it on. Tap button on the display to access the maintenance menu. Then tap the RESET button next to SERVICE and hold for 3 seconds until the time is reset.
After 14 days, the maintenance button lights up in red and indicates that this action is necessary.
Recommendation: To ensure the full performance of the UVC lamp, you
should change the bulb every 3 years.
Note: UVC lamp is on for 4 h per day or 1 h in timer mode.

You can carry out the maintenance steps CHANGE HYGIENE DISC, SERVICE and
CLEANING whenever necessary. When you are finished, simply tap the
relevant RESET button in the maintenance menu and hold for 3 seconds until the
time is reset. The next reminders for the actions performed will be indicated
at the normal intervals.
Any residues in the water tray and on the Vent Wave™ DISC stack (white, green-
yellow or brown deposits or discolorations) do NOT impair the function of the
device.

Merchandise
Authorization (RMA) number. Attach a tag to the product that includes your
name, address, daytime phone number, and description of the problem. Include a
copy of the original sales receipt and warranty card if not yet submitted. For
products purchased in the United States, carefully package the product in its
original packaging and send it either by UPS or Parcel Post with shipping and
insurance prepaid to: Venta Air Technologies Inc., US Headquarters, 1005 N
Commons Dr, Aurora, IL 60504.
TWO (2) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Call Venta Customer Service to troubleshoot any issues, before attempting to return product to retailer. If you have any questions regarding this warranty please call 1-888-333-8218 or write to: Venta Air Technologies Inc., US Headquarters, 1005 N Commons Dr, Aurora, IL 60504.
For product registration please return the enclosed Warranty Card. Venta warrants that for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. Venta, at its option will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value.
This is your exclusive warranty. This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Your warranty card must be completed and returned to activate your warranty. Also, keep the original sales receipt – proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: Negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair, or alteration by anyone other than Venta. Further, the warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes, and tornadoes. Venta shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty. Some states, provinces, or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Attention: Before carrying out any of these actions, ensure that the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the power supply!

T he appliance won’t switch on?
Please check whether the appliance is plugged in to the mains. -
The appliance won’t switch on even though it is plugged in to the mains?
Action: Please check whether the mains power cable is correctly plugged
into the appliance. Then switch
the appliance on again.
- WIFI connection is not possible
Please check that:
- you are using a 2.4-GHz or a combined 2.4/5-GHz network. This is important because the WIFI/WLAN module in the appliance does not support 5-GHz networks.
- your router supports 802.11b/g/n.
- iOS version 11.0 or higher or Android version 8.0 or higher is installed in your phone or tablet.
If necessary, update the operating system of your phone or tablet.
