Welcome to Blix!

In this user manual, you will find all the information on Blix smart food
maker and how to blend with your Blix cups. This manual is split into four
sections:
- Important safeguards and cautionary warnings- This section contains important information regarding your Blix smart food maker and Blix system. Please read this section carefully.
- Getting started and instructions for use- This section covers everything you need to know regarding how to properly use and enjoy your Blix smart food maker and Blix cups.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS AND CAUTIONARY INFORMATION
For your safety, carefully read the following instructions before operating
the Blix smart food maker.

This product is intended for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY and is not intended to be used for commercial purposes.

Do not attempt to defeat any safety interlock mechanisms.

If the Blix smart food maker malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner, please discontinue to use. Contact Blix Customer Success at blix@myblix.com for assistance in obtaininga replacement, according to warranty.

Do not put the Blix smart food maker or Blix lid ina microwaveas this may result in damage to the machine or lid and fire.

The use of any attachments, including canning jars, not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.

Do not use the Blix smart food maker outdoors.

Caution! To avoid risk of electric shock, never immerse the cord, plug, or the Blix smart food maker in water or other liquids.

Do not allow the cord to hang over the side of the counter or table.

Do not pull, twist, or damage the power cord.

Do not allow the cord to come in contact with hot surfaces including the stove.

Periodically inspect the cord and plug for damage. Do not operate the Blix smart food maker with a damaged cord or plug.

Do not use this product with any type of adaptor or voltage converter device. This unit is manufactured in compliance with US Plug Types.

Use of adaptors and converters is considered an unauthorized modification of the product, and such will void the warranty. Use of this product in locations with different electrical specifications may result in damage to the product.

When it is not in use turn OFF the Blix smart food maker and unplug it. Make sure it is unplugged before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning
To unplug. grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord. -
Never leave the Blix smart food maker unattended while it is in use.

Close supervision is necessary when any machine is used by or near children.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact the manufacturer at: blix@myblix.com for information on examination, repair, or adijustment.

Keep hands and utensils out of Blix cup while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the Blix smart food maker. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the Blix smart food maker is not running.

Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.

To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter-assembly blades on base without Blix cup properly attached.

Always operate Blix smart food maker with Blix Cup and Lid in place.

Risk of thermal burn injury due to excessive pressure in the container. Do not blend hot liquids.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
Electrical Safety
When using any electrical machines, basic safety precautions should always be
observed.
WARNING Potential Electrical Shock Hazard
DO NOT
- Use an extension cord.
- Use an adaptor.
- Use a converter. immerse motor base in water
- Not following the instructions may cause injury or even death by electrical shock.
WARNING: Ventilation caution
- Always operate the Blix smart food maker on a flat surface, leaving unobstructed space beneath and around the base to permit proper air circulation. Slots and openings on the bottom of the product are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable motor operation and to prevent over-heating.
- Warning: To prevent fire hazard, power base openings should be free of dust or lint and never obstructed with flammable materials such as newspapers, tablecloths, napkins, dishtowels, or placemats. Keep a free space of it at least four inches to each side of the Blix smart food maker.
WARNING: Freezing Hazard
Our Blix pouches are shipped with dry ice in order to remain frozen during
transit. DO NOT touch the dry ice with bare hands. If there is still dry ice
when you open the box, move it carefully to a ventilated area to dissipate and
recycle the plastic bag when the ice fuly disappears.
Important cautionary information about the system
- All Blix pouches are pre-packed with a selection of quality frozen ingredients. Refer to the nutritional label for detailed information on ingredients and nutritional + allergen content to ensure it meets your dietary requirements.
- Food has a very limited shelf life when stored at ambient temperatures. Therefore, we freeze all our Blix pouches to ensure freshness until the Best Before Date printed on the pouches.
- If your Blix pouch has an expired Best Before Date, please do not consume it and discard it.
- Always store Blix pouches in your freezer to maintain the quality of the food prior to consumption.
- Do not add to your Blix cup anything other than the pouch content recommended liquids and suggested boosters. Otherwise, it may cause leakage or break the cup and cause damage to the system.
- Never put carbonated beverages inside your Blix cup. Adding alcohol is only permitted when using pouches which are dedicated for usage with alcohol. Built-up pressure from released gases can cause container to leak or burst resulting in possible injury.
- To reduce the risk of leakage, make sure the Blix cup’s lid is closed tightly and the cup is securely sitting on the base of the Blix smart food maker before pressing the start button.
- Do not heat up the Blix cup prior to processing in the Blix smart food maker. The Blix smart food maker is designed to work with frozen ingredients.
- The Blix smart food maker is intended to work only with Blix cups and lids. Do not try to operate the machine with only the lid, as this might cause injury.
- Always make sure to move the handle to the right position and lock the cup before pressing the start button to start the process in the Blix smart food maker.
- Do not release the cup until the Blix smart food maker is at a complete stop and the start button is solid green. Doing so while the machine is running may cause damage to the system.
- Do not try to take out the cup holder when the handle is in its working (right) position.
- When the blending process is finished, as indicated by the solid green LED in the start button, move the handle to the start position on the left side, unlock the Blix cup and take it out of the Blix smart food maker. Do not leave it inside too long as it will melt and lose its texture.
- Each Blix Lid is for single use only. unless otherwise specified. Do not try to process single use lid in the Blix smart food maker more than once. If you try to do so, the machine will register an error, indicated by a red blinking LED at the start button.
- The Blix smart food maker converts pieces of frozen fruits and vegetables into blended foods. Alays be aware of any large pieces that may be left unprocessed in the cup to avoid choking when consuming the food.
- Always inspect inside your Blix cup before consumption for any foreign object other than food.
- Do not allow blended mixtures to sit for long periods of time in a sealed container. The sugars in the fruit and vegetables can ferment, causing pressure to build up and expand in the cup which can cause it to burst when moved or opened.
- The Blix smart food maker is not intended to be used as a traditional blender. Do not fill the cup with your own ingredients or additives.
- Our Blix pouches are shipped with dry ice, in order to remain frozen during transit. DO NOT touch the dry ice with bare hands.
About the lids and cups
- Blix pouches shipment box comes with lids and cups designated specially for the Blix smart food maker
- Before filling a cup make sure the cup is intact and the level printing is clear. Check that the lid is intact, has no damage and the blade placed in its recessed position.
- Blix cups are reusable and dishwasher safe, at temperature up to 158 °F (70°C).
- Each lid is for single use, unless otherwise specified. Recycle it after each use. Do not replace the lid with another one for the same preparation.
About the Blix smart food maker
The Blix smart food maker is a fully automatic blender type processing
machine, designed only for the Blix cups and lids. It contains a high-power
motor to perform the blending and has a mechanism to lock the cup and engage
with the plastic blade, a variety of sensors to monitor every stage of the
process, cup recognition system and a strong controller. All components fit in
a slim body and work seamlessly together to achievea perfectly prepared Blix
cup.
A fully automated process is activated when you insert a Blix cup into the
Blix smart food maker, lock the cup and press the start button. The machine
recognizes the recipe through the RFID (radio frequency identification)
system, and it creates the optimal program to prepare your Blix cup. During
processing, the sensors continuously adjust along the way, thus avoiding the
need for any manual adjustment. You can be assured that you will get a
perfectly prepared Blix cup each time.
The Blix smart food maker consists of three main components:
- The Motor& Control Base
- The Cup Holder with the Handle
Control Panel
- On/Off Switch: This is located at the rear side of your Blix smart food maker. Switch to turn on/off.
- Start Button: Located in the front of the Blix smart food maker and is activated when the Blix cup is locked in position. Start Button serves multiple purposes via different colors.
- Solid PURPLE: The Blix smart food maker is turned On and ready to be used.
- Slow blinking PURPLE: The Blix smart food maker is analyzing after the cup is locked.
- Slow blinking GREEN: Ready to start the blending. Push the start button to start.
- Blinking RED: The Blix smart food maker:
- Cannot detect the Lid.
- Detects a reused Lid in the machine.
- The Handle was opened during blending.
- Blinking GREEN: The machine is in process.
- Solid GREEN: indicates that processing is complete. Move the handle to start position to unlock the Blix cup and remove it. In case you want to stop the machine while blending:
- Press the Start-Button: Color will turn blinking RED for 5sec. YOu can press again to continue the process or open the handle and take out your cup. Note that after 5sec the machine will terminate the process and will not continue.
- Other way you can turn Off the Blix smart food maker by the switch in the back, or – unplug it from power. Open the handle and take out your cup.
- Reconnect the Blix smart food maker to power and power it on, if it still shows Red please reach out to our Customer Success team for assistance at blix@myblix.com

GETTING STARTED AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Getting Started
Read the instructions below to get started:

You received your new Blix smart food maker and you can see two boxes-one containing the Blix smart food maker, and the other containing frozen Blix pouches, cups, and lids.

Place the boxes on a flat and sturdy surface and open them.

Take out the Blix cups and lids and store for later use. Take carefully the dry-ice (if left) and place in ventilated area. Our Blix pouches are shipped with dry ice, so they remain nicely frozen during transit. DO NOT touch the dry ice with bare hands. If there is still dry ice when you open the box, move it carefully to ventilated
area to dissipate and recycle the plastic bag when the ice fully disappeared. -
Take out the Blix pouches, verify it is in frozen condition and store them in your freezer.

Take the Blix smart food maker out of the box and place it on your counter. The Blix smart food maker may be cold as it was packed with the frozen Blix pouches.

Remove any buffer material from your Blix smart food maker.
-
Always check to make sure the Blix pouches, cups, lids, and Blix smart food maker are not broken or damaged before using.
How to use Blix system
- Plugin your Blix smart food maker and locate the on/off switch placed at the back side of your machine. Switch it to turn on.
- Choose a Blix pouch of your choice and follow the instructions:
Fill liquid
- Pour REFRIGERATED LIQUID in the cup according to the Liquid Fill Line (please follow filling instruction on the pouch).
- Pour content Open Blix pouch and pour contents into the cup.
- Close lid Push the lid securely down on the cup. Make sure the straw opening is closed.
- Blend Place the cup upside down in the machine.Lock the Cup with the handle and press start when the button is blinking Green. Your food is prepared at the touch of the button!
How to make warm recipes
- After blending your warm recipe, you can warm your Blix cup in the microwave or on the stove top by using a pot (do not put the cup on the stove top).
- Please remove the lid before microwaving. The lid contains an RFID chip made of metal that cannot go into the microwave.
- It is safe to place the cup (without the lid) inside the microwave for 1-2 minutes after processing in the Blix smart food maker. Please take the lid off prior to heating9.
- If the cup is too hot to touch, allow it to cool before carefully removing it from the microwave.
- Alternatively, you can pour the contents into a pot and heat on the stove top.
- After consuming, clean the cup in the dishwasher or recycle it.
- Do not heat up the Blix cup prior to processing in the Blix smart food maker. The programs are specifically designed to work with frozen ingredients. Heated ingredients can create internal pressure in a sealed blending vessel, which may erupt on opening and cause thermal injury.
Recycling
- All Blix cups and Lids are fully recyclable in the plastic recycling waste stream. Please refer to your local recycling center for proper disposal.
- The boxes are fully recyclable in the cardboard and mixed paper waste stream. Please refer to your local recycling center for proper disposal.
- The insulator in the package is the most environmentally sustainable material available. Made from corn, it is certified compostable in backyard and can even be dissolved in a sink for safe and easy disposal. Separate the plastic bag and dispose it into recycle bin.
- Your Blix smart food maker contains valuable plastics and metals which can be recycled after its useful life. Please refer to your local recycling center for proper disposal.
Cleaning
For the most part, the Blix smart food maker does not need to be cleaned regularly. However, if the flap of the Lid is not closed properly, liquids can leak out on the cup holder and base.
Here’s how to clean it:
- Step 1: The most important thing is to switch off and UNPLUG the Blix smart food maker before cleaning!
- Step 2: Usea damp cloth to wipe down the liquids over the Blix smart food maker.
- A. For thorough cleaning, the Cup Holder can be taken out by gently pulling it upwardly. When placing it back into the machine, rotate the white disk at the bottom of the Cup Holder, until the small arrows facing each-other. Also verify the arrows on the shaft facing the side arrows. Refer to images.
- B. To avoid damage it is recommended to clean with water, mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge, or place the Cup-Holder in dishwasher. The Cup-Holder is dishwasher safe at temperature up to 158 °F (70°c)
- C. Please note that the bottom part of the Blix smart food maker may never be submersed in water!
- D. Never pour any liquid on or in the Blix smart food maker.
- E. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized Blix service representative.

Warranty
WHO CAN SEEK WARRANTY cOVERAGE.
This Warranty is extended by Blix to the owner of this Blix smart food maker
for personal household use only. This Warranty does not apply to products used
for commercial, rental or re-sale purposes. Should ownership of the Blix smart
food maker change during the I-year period, please update the machine owner
information at www.myblix.com.
WHAT IS COVERED.
Blix warrants to the owner that if this Blix smart food maker (the “Machine”
consists of a Motor & Control base and a Cup Holder) fails within 1 year from
the date of purchase due to a defect in material or workmanship or as a result
of normal wear and tear from ordinary household use, Blix wil, within 30 days
of receipt of the returned machine, repair the failed machine or component
part of the machine free of charg F, in Blix sole discretion, the failed Blix
smart food maker or component part of the machine cannot be repaired, Blix
will elect to either (A) replace the machine free of charge or (8) refund the
full purchase price to the owner.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED.
This Warranty does not apply to machines used commercially or in no household
applications. This Warranty does not cover cosmetic changes that do not affect
performance, such as discoloration or the effects of the use of abrasives or
cleaners or food build up. This Warranty is only valid if the Blix smart food
maker is used and maintained in accordance with the instructions, warnings and
sateguards contained in the owners manual. Blix will not be responsible for
the cost of any unauthorized warranty repairs.
REPAIR, REPLACEMENT OR REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE ARE THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES
OF PURCHASERAND THE SOLE LIABILITY
OF Blix UNDER THIS WARRANTY. NO EMPLOYEE OR REPRESENTATIVE OF Blix IS
AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY ADDITIONAL WARRANTY OR ANY MODIFICATION TO THIS
WARRANTY WHICH MAY BE BINDING UPON Blix. ACCORDINGLY, PURCHASER SHOULD NOT
RELY UPON ANY ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS MADE BY ANY EMPLOYEE OR REPRESENTATIVE OF
Blix. IN NO EVENT, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, INDEMNITY, WARRANTY, TORT
(INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, SHALL Blix BE LIABLE
FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING,
WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFIT OR REVENUE.
Some states do not allow limits on warranties. In such states, the above
limitations may not apply to you. Outside the U.S.A., other warranties may
apply.
WHAT VOIDS THIS WARRANTY.
Abuse, misuse, negligent use, alteration of the Blix smart food maker,
exposure to abnormal or extreme conditions, or failure to follow the operating
instructions in this manuad will void this Warranty. The Warranty is also void
if repairs to the Blix smart food maker or any component part of the machine
are performed by someone other than either Blix or an authorized Blix Service
Provider or if any component part of a machine subject to this Warranty is
used in combination with a motor base or container that is not expressly
authorized by Blix.
HOW TO OBTAIN RETURN AUTHORIZATION UNDER THIS WARRANTTY.
In the event that you need service or repair, please reach out to the Blix
Customer Success team at blix@myblix.com. You will
be asked to provide a date of purchase and proof oft purchase for any machine
that has not been registered with Blix. For machine subject to this Warranty,
you will be provided with a return authorization number, up-to-date shipping
instructions and a pre-paid return pick up label. Blix will pay standard
shipping costs on the return of a machine for warranty service and repair and
for return shipment of the machine to you after the warranty repair or
replacement. Purchaser is responsible for the costs of special shipping
requests.
Within the U.S.A., this Warranty is honored directly through Blix ltd. United
States Blix company address 79 Madison Avenue, New York 10016, NY You will be
deemed to have accepted the returned product “as is” upon delivery unless you
notify Blix of any problem, including shipment damage, within the first 30
days of delivery.
