Setting Up the Remote

The package contains the remote and the receiver module.

Pairing the Remote

To pair the remote control with the receiver:

  • Press and Hold Pairing Button for 3 seconds
  • Green Feedback LED turns ON
  •  Remote will send pairing request to RX
  •  RX accepts pairing request
  •  Green Feedback LED blinks one time (slowly), turns OFF and remote exits pairing mode.
  • Remote is now paired to RX.

Normal Use – Remote Paired (User: Remote Paired / Battery Good)

  • User pushes a button on remote
  • GREEN LED on remote blinks (x times) and turns OFF

**Attempted Use – Remote Not Paired (User: Remote not paired / Battery

Good)**

  • User pushes a button on remote
  • GREEN LED on remote blinks (x times) and turns OFF

Batteries Low – Remote Paired (User: Remote Paired / Battery Low)

  • User pushes a button on remote
  • GREEN LED on remote blinks (x times) and aer a short pause
  • RED LED blinks 5 times and turns OFF
  • Low Voltage reshold: 2.3V / Microcontroller Minimum Voltage: 1.8V
  • Operating temp. : 0 ℃ ~ 50 ℃
  • Rated input : DC 3V (AAA * 2 Batteries)

**Batteries Low – Remote Not Paired (User: Remote not Paired / Battery

Low)**

  •  User pushes a button on remote
  • RED LED on remote blinks (x times) and aer a short pause
  •  RED LED blinks 5 times and turns OFF

Un-Pairing Process

  • Press and Hold Pairing Button for 3 seconds
  • RED Feedback LED turns ON
  • RED feedback LED blinks X number of times (slowly)
  • Remote is now un-paired to RX

Button Assignments

Description

  • Perform Setup procedure
  • Get RSWA measurement
  • Increase/decrease the diameter of the circle
  • Make a decision on weld quality
  • Move to next weld or unit
  • Exit from menu or dialog
  • Confirm selection in menus and dialogs
  • Up and down cursor keys; in Array Explorer’s main window: Navigate up and down in the weld list view
  • Left and right cursor keys; in Array Explorer’s main window; Navigate left And right in recent measurements
  • Opens drop down menu in A-scan view (may be changed in future software releases)
  • Toggles between front and back cells in weld list view (may be changed in future software releases)
  • Toggles between automatic and manual circle measurements (may be changed in Future software releases)

Replacing the Battery

This remote needs a battery to operate. Replace the Battery when needs with AAA * 3 batteries. To replace the battery:

  • Pull the battery compartment out and remove the old battery
  • Insert the replacement battery with the positive side facing up
  • Close the battery compartment
  • If necessary, perporm the pairing procedure
