Notes on the Plug
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
Plasticizer Warning
CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating from the finish of the counter top or table top or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between the appliance and the finish of the counter top or table top. Failure to do so may cause the finish to darken; permanent blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
Electric Power
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.
Getting to Know Your Rotating Waffle Maker
Product may vary slightly from illustration
Before First Use
- Carefully unpack the Rotating Waffle Maker and remove all packaging and materials.
- Before using your Waffle Maker for the first time, wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth to remove all dust, and then dry. Wipe outer surfaces with a slightly damp, soft cloth or sponge. CAUTION: Take care to prevent water from running into the appliance.
- Never immerse ROTATING Waffle Maker BODY in water or any other liquids!
Operating Instructions
- Unfold handle and lift top cooking plate. Make sure the Rotating Waffle Maker’s bottom cooking plate is positioned flat and locked into a stable position. Before baking the first waffles of the day, use a pastry brush to lightly coat the top and bottom waffle plates with vegetable oil. Do not use non-stick sprays as they can cause build-up on the cooking plates.
- Plug unit into a 120 V AC electrical outlet. The red POWER light will illuminate and remain lighted during use.
NOTE
When your Rotating Waffle Maker is heated for the first time, it may emit
slight smoke or odor. This is normal and should disappear after one or two
uses. This does not affect the safety of the appliance. However, as it may
affect the flavor of the first waffles prepared in the Waffle Maker, it is
recommended that these be discarded.
- Turn the temperature control dial to the MAX setting to preheat.
- While preheating, prepare waffle batter.
- After approximately 5 minutes, the blue READY light will illuminate, indicating the unit is preheated and is ready for use.
- Set the waffle temperature control to the desired setting. A lower setting produces a lighter browned waffle, while waffles made at a higher setting are darker and crispier. When preparing a recipe for the first time, set the control to the middle; then adjust according to preference. Recipes will vary in cook time and brownness; batters with more sugar will brown quicker. Note the perfect setting for each batter recipe for future use.
- Pour or ladle 3/4 to 1 cup batter onto the bottom cooking plate. Add just enough batter to fill lower grid so that the peak area is covered. If necessary, use a spatula to spread the batter in to the corners of the plate. Try not to overfill, batter will expand when cooked. The drip tray will catch any spilled-over batter.
- The blue READY light will turn off as the baking cycle begins.
- Lower the top cooking plate to close the Rotating Waffle Maker and rotate unit 180° to the bottom side.
The Rotating Waffle Maker will cook until the blue READY light (on the backside of the Waffle Maker) illuminates. Rotate Waffle Maker 180° to the top side, until it is flat and locked into a stable position.
Lift the top cooking plate gently; if it pulls, continue cooking for 1 minute and test again. Waffles should be baked according to the temperature control setting chosen. If the waffles need to bake to a darker finish, close the lid and continue baking until the desired color is achieved.
Remove waffles from the cooking plates using non-metallic utensils.
NOTE: If additional waffles are to be baked, keep the Rotating Waffle Maker closed to retain heat. Always be sure the green light is illuminated before baking more waffles.
NOTE
Waffles made later will bake faster because extra heat has been retained.
When baking is complete, unplug the power cord from electric outlet.
Lift top cooking plate and allow to cool. Make sure the Rotating Waffle Maker’s bottom cooking plate is positioned flat and locked into a stable position.
Do not clean until unit has been fully cooled.
Waffle Baking Tips
- Recipes may be doubled.
- Sift all dry ingredients together. It is not necessary to beat egg yolks and milk separately.
- Just add them to the combined flour mixture and use a whisk or mixer to blend the ingredients well.
- Egg whites should be beaten until they form stiff peaks. Stir 1/4 of the beaten whites into the batter to lighten it, and then gently fold in the rest. There should be white streaks in the batter. Do not over-mix batter when adding egg whites.
- Do not open the Rotating Waffle Maker during the first minute of baking or the waffle will separate. Completely bake the waffle before removing.
- When a waffle is done, the top cooking plate should lift easily. Lift the plate gently; if it pulls, continue cooking for 1 minute and test again.
- When preparing waffle batter, do not over-mix or waffles will be tough. Stir batter only until large lumps of dry ingredients disappear.
- The optimal amount of batter to produce a full-shaped waffle, without overflowing, will vary with different waffle batters. Pouring batter from a measuring cup will help to gauge how much batter to use each time. Fill bottom grid of Rotating Waffle Maker with enough batter to cover peak areas of the grid about 3/4 to 1 cup.
- For more evenly shaped waffles, spread thick batters to the outer edge of the cooking plate using a heat-proof rubber spatula or other non-metallic utensil before closing the lid.
- Cake-based waffles are tenderer than regular waffles, and may require more care when removing from the Waffle Maker. Use a spatula to support waffles when removing from the Rotating Waffle Maker.
- To retain crispness, move baked waffles to a paper napkin or a wire cooling rack to absorb any condensation. To keep waffles hot, place in an ovenproof dish on an oven rack and warm at about 200-250°F (90-120°C).
- Waffles will keep for about 20 minutes before they begin to dry out.
- Cooled waffles can be re-warmed and re-crisped individually, by returning them to the hot Waffle Maker. Set waffle temperature control to MIN. Place waffle on cooking plate so grooves match up; close lid and heat for 1 to 2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Baked waffles freeze well. Cool completely on a wire rack. Store in a plastic freezer bag or in a covered container, separating waffles with wax paper. Reheat frozen waffles in a toaster oven, oven or toaster until hot and crisp.
For lower fat, lower cholesterol waffles
- Use skim milk.
- Adapt recipes by eliminating the egg yolk. Always use liquid vegetable oils such as canola, corn or sunflower, instead of butter.
For higher fiber waffles
- Substitute 1/2 cup or more of white flour with whole-wheat flour.
- Substitute 1/4 cup of white flour with wheat or oat bran.
User Maintenance Instructions
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Any servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning, must be performed by a qualified appliance repair technician.
Care and Cleaning
CAUTION: UNPLUG FROM ELECTRICAL OUTLET AND ALLOW TO COOL THOROUGHLY BEFORE CLEANING.
- The Rotating Waffle Maker does not disassemble for cleaning.
- If batter has dripped onto the drip tray, remove drip tray immediately after use and rinse with warm water. Wash with mild dishwashing liquid. Remove stubborn stains with a plastic mesh puff or pad. Do not use steel wool or coarse scouring pads.
- Never immerse appliance in water or other liquids. Never place Rotating Waffle Maker in dishwasher.
- The waffle cooking plates should be cleaned and conditioned before each heating.
- Brush cooking plates with a clean, soft pastry brush or cloth. To condition plates, lightly coat the cooking surfaces with solid vegetable shortening or vegetable oil. Carefully follow suggested cleaning procedures below. After a time, if waffles show signs of sticking, recondition as needed.
- To protect the premium quality non-stick surfaces, use only plastic, nylon or wooden utensils.
- To remove any batter baked onto the cooking plates, pour a small amount of cooking oil onto the hardened batter. Allow to set for 5 minutes, then wipe softened batter off with a paper towel or soft cloth. Remove stubborn stains with a plastic mesh puff or pad. For best results, use only products with directions stating that it is safe for cleaning non-stick cooking surfaces. Do not use steel wool or coarse scouring pads.
- The exterior finish should be cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
Storage
After cleaning, fold handle and store for future use. Make sure unit is unplugged and fully cooled. Never wrap cord tightly around appliance. Do not put any stress on cord where it enters unit, as this could cause cord to fray and break.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can you tell when it is finished? Does the waffle have a timer or a light to indicate when it is done?****
No timer is present. When the iron reaches temperature, there is a green light. Simply keep an eye on the waffle by lightly lifting the lid to check for sticking. I must admit that despite using three different brands of mix, I probably made a box’s worth of batches, and they never came out as expected.
Is it simple to use and clean this waffle maker? Do you approve of it?****
Very simple to use and maintain.
Why is it needed to be rotated? Without turning, doesn’t it cook on both sides?****
To spread the batter and cook more evenly, rotating the waffle maker is a great idea. The batter starts cooking on the bottom plates of the waffle maker as soon as you pour it in. The batter then pours into the top plates of the waffle maker and cooks quickly when you turn it over. This uniformly browns the waffle on all sides.
How much time do Bella waffles need to cook?****
This waffle maker has a powerful 1000-watt heating system and can cook up to 4 waffles in 10 minutes.
How can you tell when the waffle maker is finished?****
If your waffle maker does not provide a ready-to-eat indicator, you can tell when your waffle is done by keeping an eye on the steam. Remove your waffle after the steam has subsided if you can. Your waffle must be done when the steam stops.
Does a waffle maker need to be cleaned before use?****
Before pouring the batter for the first time, grease the maker. Even though the waffle iron is nonstick, you should still spray cooking spray or lightly oil the plates.
What benefit does a revolving waffle maker offer?****
Flip waffle machines aid in distributing the batter evenly so that you always get a speedier, dependably perfect-looking waffle. When using a flip waffle maker, you must rotate it right away after adding the batter and snapping the lid shut so that gravity can work to completely fill the waffle iron’s cavity.
How can you tell when a waffle from Belgium is finished?****
If your waffle maker lacks a doneness indicator, keep an eye on the steam that emerges from it while it cooks. The waffle should be ready when the steam stops (typically after 5 to 6 minutes). Cook the waffle for an additional 30 seconds if the lid is difficult to lift.
How much time should a Belgian waffle be cooked in a waffle maker?****
Mix thoroughly after adding to dry ingredients. Egg whites are folded in. Cook for about 5 to 10 minutes in a waffle iron over medium-high heat.
Can I cook waffles with melted butter?****
Cleanup will be a breeze if you just coat your waffle maker with melted butter or oil using a basting brush. Your waffle maker won’t be sticky and will last longer.
Will this result in crispy waffles?****
Yes, this tiny waffle maker produces delicious waffles. has been adjusted for the level of quality you desire. We now consume a lot of waffles, and I adore mine.
Can non-Belgian waffles be made?****
The shape of a Belgian waffle will always be there, regardless of the batter that is used. The iron has that shape, and you cannot alter it.
You use how much batter?****
Depending on the tool Pout until the iron is covered or full.
