If the unit is not to be used for any extended period of time, it is recommended that the batteries are removed. We would recommend for economy that the Concerto 3 is used on the mains whenever possible with battery operation for occasional or stand-by use only
Cautions

In order to minimise the risk of damage to your unit, or USB memory device, please place the unit so that the device cannot be easily knocked while it is inserted in the socket.
Remove the USB memory device before carrying the unit or if not using the USB feature for a prolonged period. Note: The USB memory device should not be removed during playback as damage or corruption of files may occur.
Note: If the unit is in the CD or USB stop mode position for more than 15 minutes it will automatically switch to the standby mode. To use the unit again switch on the unit.

To safeguard your recordings against accidental erasure, break off the appropriate tab on the cassette.
There is one tab for each side of the cassette. This will prevent the Record button from being pressed.
To restore the cassette to normal, seal the tab openings with a small piece of self-adhesive tape.

Headphone socket

A 3.5mm Headphone socket is provided for use with headphones. Inserting a plug automatically mutes the internal loudspeakers. Please be aware that the sensitivity of headphones can vary widely. We therefore recommend setting the volume to a low level before connecting headphones.
