FAQs
how many amps ?****
Not sure what the Amperage draw is, as the ratings on the product are: 120 Volts, 60 Hertz, 1500 Watts. I make sure that it is plugged directly into a wall outlet with no other devices, on a household circuit breaker rated at 15 Amps.
How low can the temperature control be set?****
Is this heater PTFE and PFOA free?****
our Tower Ceramic Heaters do not have PTFE.
Does the digital display show the temperature of the room?****
No, it does not show the room temperature. I have another one which is the same product. This model has not been able to get the temps right. When you set the temp, it will actually get two degrees hotter. My older heater will get the temp exactly what it set to.
Will this heater turn off automatically when desired temperature is met?****
Yes, it does stop when the temp gets to where you set it. I found that the temperature when it says 72 is actually closer to 74-75. If I want 72 I just set it at 68-69.
What is the max temperature?****
the maximum temperature for this unit is 90 degrees.
Can I set the heater on low setting and still use the thermostat to set the desired temp? lasko heaters default to high when using the thermostat.****
Low as in fan speed, yes, thermostat can be used on your choice of speed. But what is the extra fabulous is it has a remote control!!!! It has many choices of settings. I do like the lasko heaters that don’t have fans.
What are the watts for the eco setting?****
the eco function setting fluctuates based on the environment, unfortunately, there are too many variables to provide an accurate answer.
Is this heater Ul listed?****
Yes.
can this be used as a regular fan? My office’s thermostat is wacky and its cold in the winter and stuffy in the summer.****
Yes, it has the option to turn only the fan on.
how expensive my power bill will be if I use it to cool or heat my room the whole day every day?****
I used it during the winter and my light bill was the same as my central heating bill. I bought it thinking that it would save me money on my electric bill but it didn’t.
Is this made in China?****
this unit is manufactured in China.
How much cord is there?****
A 6-foot chord is included with this item.
I require a heater that uses no more than 750 watts. Is that what this heater does on the lower level?****
YES
I note that this lacks the 791’s Silent System, but is it quiet?****
The 791’s Silent System is unknown to me, although the device is relatively quiet. If you carefully listen when everything is off and there is no background noise, you can hardly detect a faint hum.
