CARE & MAINTENANCE

  • The Low Lying Fog Machine features a filter that protects the fan from dust and debris.
We recommend cleaning the filter periodically to keep the machine running smoothly.

  • There is also a fluid filter that we recommend cleaning periodically.

  • After several hours of use, droplets or condensation may appear (especially around the nozzle.) This is completely normal and not a machine malfunction.

  • Remember that the machine nozzle will become hot during use. Do not attempt to clean up until after the machine has cooled down.

  • Ensure all fluid is clean. Do not put unapproved fluids in the machine– doing so will void the warranty. After filling the fluid reservoir, re-attach the lid to ensure no dust or debris contaminates the fluid.

  • The vaporizer does not require cleaning. Do not attempt to remove or clean vaporizer– this will void the warranty.

ATTENTION

  • Keep the machine clean and free from debris.
  • Ensure the machine is placed on a flat, level surface.
  • Do not tilt, incline, or place machine upside down.
  • Keep out of weather. This machine is not waterproof.
  • Do not attempt to service or perform maintenance on the unit. Contact Global Special Effects with any issues.

TROUBLESHOOTING

THE PUMP RUNS, BUT LITTLE OR NO FOG IS PRODUCED:

  • Check that the machine has enough Fog Fluid and water.
  • Verify the brass collar is properly connected.
  • Clean the fluid filter to make sure there is no debris blocking fluid intake.
  • Ensure the fluid tube is not twisted or leaking.

THE DMX CONSOLE CAN’T BE CONTROLLED NORMALLY:

  • Check that all cables and plugs are connected properly.
  • Ensure the cable is not defective.
  • Verify the DMX address is correctly adjusted.
  • If only part of the console can’t be controlled normally, attempt to exchange the XLR house line and signal line.

THE MACHINE WILL NOT WORK FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME:

  • Check that the fan is not clogged.
  • Ensure the machine is properly ventilated.
  • Power off the machine, unplug, and allow machine to cool down. Then power on again.
