Overview

Creator Connections is an opportunity to partner with brands that sell on Amazon and grow your earnings. This program is currently invite-only.

Why Participate?

  1. Get paid for your content through bonus commissions on top of standard Amazon commissions while maintaining editorial control.
  2. Connect and collaborate with brands who sell products that resonate with your audience
  3. Centralize and simplify working with brands on Amazon. Creator Connections makes Amazon Associates your source for product discovery, brand collaborations, campaign performance, and payments for affiliate marketing.

Reminder: This invitation is shared with you under the terms of the Operating Agreement and is considered non-public and highly confidential information. Information related to this beta cannot be shared publicly.

Frequently Asked Questions

For additional questions, please reach out to creatorconnections@amazon.com.

Getting started
  1. How can I get started?
Setup your profile: On Associate Central, go to “Connect with Brands” under the Promotions tab and set up your profile. Provide links to your content types (e.g. Facebook posts, YouTube video etc.). Include interests that pertain to you and your followers. This will help you stand out for opportunities from brands. Accept the Connect with Brands policy above the opt in section of your profile page to continue.
Actively check for new brand opportunities that resonate with you and your audience: Select Accept to opt into a campaign or Not Interested. You can review the campaigns you’ve accepted under the Active tab.
    Responding to email and requests

  2. Do I have to respond to a request?
Brands value your feedback on their requests. If you accept a request, you must respond to any communication regarding the campaign from Creator Connections.

  3. What if I need to pause receiving requests?
You may opt-out of the program to not be contacted by brands anymore. To opt- out, navigate to Connect with Brands under the Promotions tab and click on your creator profile and click “opt out”. You will have to opt-in to begin receiving requests in the future.

Creating content

Tip: We recommend creating dedicated content for a brand’s products such as shoppable photos, videos, or dedicated social posts. We do not recommend using stock images of the product in your promotions. Brands want you to be creative, and create content that’s authentic to you and your audience.

  1. Do I have to disclose that I’m being compensated?
Yes, your content must be visible and clearly message the disclosure that you receive compensation from the brand for publishing the content. For example, you can include the statement “Sponsored”, “Advertisement” or “Ad”. For additional detail, see The Federal Trade Commission’s guidance. Brands may provide more specific or additional disclosure requirements within the request. After you publish content created to the campaign, you must post the link to the campaign page to share with the brand. If you do not post content, you could receive a strike. If you do not indicate you are being compensated, you will be asked to take down the content
and repost it with compensation language.

  2. What if I require a sample?
Please fill out this Sample Request Form. If you do not receive tracking info within 3 business days of your request, please email creatorconnections@amazon.com. Please include the following in the email, your store id, campaign title, sample requested, and your mail to address. Please note, by accepting the request and receiving the accompanying sample, it is required that you utilize the sample in all content created for this campaign.

  3. Do I have to include all of the items in the request?
No. You may select from the products included in the request. Check the message from the brand for key messaging.

  4. Do I need to use special links to get additional earnings?
Yes, we provide a button on the campaign request page below the campaign brief called “Get affiliate link,” that is exclusive to you and specific to the campaign. You can also use SiteStripe, if necessary. You will be compensated for qualifying purchases your followers or readers make on the products mentioned in the request during the requested time frame.

  5. Do brands have any rights to my content?
You will continue to own the rights to your content. If you tag a brand on social media, they may reshare the content on that platform through the sharing mechanisms available on that channel.

  6. When should I post my content?
Although not mandatory, we recommend that you upload posts early in the campaign window to maximize their potential for incremental commission.

  7. How long will the created content be live?
The content created during the request will remain live at your discretion. You will stop receiving your additional commission on the requested end date (or earlier if commission budget has exhausted), but you will continue to receive standard Amazon Associate program commissions.

Getting paid

How will I get paid for my content?
Creator Connections will pay you an affiliate commission in addition to the standard affiliate commission paid by the Amazon Associates program.

Affiliate commission: You will receive the bonus commission rates for any qualifying purchases of the specified products up to a specified commission budget per campaign. The bonus commissions will be paid for qualifying purchases between the start date of the request and the end date of the request. The affiliate commissions will be paid along with your standard Amazon Associates commissions.

Tip: To maximize additional commissions, post content early in the campaign window. Consider making content evergreen; while you will stop receiving the additional incentives after the end date, you will continue to receive standard Amazon Associate commissions for any qualifying purchases.

Am I eligible for commissions on Subscribe and Save orders in Creator Connections requests?
Subscribe and Save orders are eligible for commissions at the time of the first Subscribe and Save shipment. If the product ships after the end date of the Creator Connections request, orders are still eligible for standard Amazon Associates commissions but will not be eligible for additional commissions.
