WARNING! The cleaner must only be connected to an AC power supply at the voltage shown on the rating plate. This cleaner should only be used for its intended purpose as
described in these instructions. Never operate the carpet shampooer if the water level in the Dirty Water Tank exceeds the Max Line.
When using your shampooer, basic precautions should always be observed, including the following;

  1.  This shampooer is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the shampooer by a person responsible for their safety
  2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the shampooer.
  3. If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by an authorized service agent or similarly qualified persons.
  4. Carpets should be dry and vacuumed thoroughly before washing. Use a vacuum cleaner with a power brush for the best results.
  5. If using an extension cord please make sure that it is of an approved type and that it is fully extended. Failure to do so could cause your cleaner to overheat and damage it.
  6. Do not run the shampooer over the power cable and power socket on the floor.
  7. Do not place cleaner on stairs or furniture, as it may result in injury or damage.
  8. Do not handle the power plug or cleaner with wet hands.
  9. Do not put any objects into the openings or operate with the openings blocked. Keep them free of anything that may reduce airflow.
  10. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
  11. Do not use this cleaner and accessories on hard floors. Using this machine on hard floors may scratch or damage your floor.

Preparing the Carpet

IMPORTANT! Do not use the shampooer as a dry vacuum.

Preparation

  1. Vacuum carpeted surfaces thoroughly. Use a vacuum cleaner with a power brush for the best results.
  2.  Remove as much furniture from the room as possible. For furniture that cannot be removed, place plastic or foil under and around the legs of the furniture and
only remove it when the carpet has dried completely.

Helpful Hints for Cleaning Carpet

  1.  Only use a low foam solution with this shampooer.
  2.  Do not oversaturate the carpet with a cleaning solution while using the shampooer.
  3.  For heavily soiled areas, additional applications may be necessary.
  4.  Allow plenty of time for the carpet to dry thoroughly.
  5.  If cleaning solution comes into contact with wood furniture or wooden material, immediately wipe away to avoid damage.
  6.  Once the carpet has been cleaned with the shampooer, avoid walking on the carpet until it has completely dried.
  7. Before you start cleaning with the shampooer, carefully plan where you will start and end to avoid walking on previously cleaned areas.

Check for Colour Fastness

Before you begin cleaning the carpet, test for color fastness. Dampen a white cloth with the solution. Test a small carpeted area in a closet or other hidden spot. Gently rub the cloth over the area. Check for color bleeding. If the cloth remains clean, it should be safe to clean the carpet.

After Cleaning

  1. Allow the carpet to dry completely. Try not to walk on the carpet until it has thoroughly dried.
  2.  If you must walk on the carpet before it is dry, place white towels over the areas to be walked on.
  3.  If furniture must be placed back into the room before the carpet is dry, place plastic or foil under the furniture to avoid staining the carpet.
  4.  Thoroughly clean the dirty water tank with warm (max 40°C) tap water.

Instructions For Use

IMPORTANT! Never leave the shampooer unattended with the power switched on. Turn the shampooer and disconnect the power cord from the power supply before emptying and filling the tanks. Do not oversaturate the carpet.
WARNING! Do not use bleach. Damage to the shampooer will result. Only use the manufacturer’s recommended solution.
