Important Note

  • A) This manual include important safety performance information and service information. Please make sure you have read the following warning content before the first time you use our product.
  • B) If you borrow your electric bicycle to other people, please let the user read this manual it could help to decrease the risk of accident.
  • C) Please wear a suitable and safe helmet while riding, please wear clothes with fluorescent and reflective stripes when you ride at night. Don’ t exceed speed limit, it is one of the main causes of traffic accident, and abide by the traffic rule.
  • D) Do not touch the charging hole or touch it with metal objects, otherwise it will cause an accident due to an instantaneous short circuit of the current.
  • E) Zero starting, braking frequent, driving against the wind, carrying people or anything, insufficient air pressure on the tires will use more power, and then reduce the endurance mileage. lf you want the best endurance mileage, please do as follows:
1. Use assist mode.
2. Don’t brake frequently or use zero starting.
3. Don’t overload.
4. Before riding, please check the tire pressure, and supply proper pressure.
  • F) The E-bike should avoid prolonged exposure to the sun or 01 rain, avoid storage in places with high temperature or corrosive gas, so as to avoid electroplating parts and paint surface by chemical corrosion and electrical parts damage, resulting in operational failure and accidents.
  • G) When charging the E-bike, please make sure that there is no foreign matter in the charging port. Connect the charger to the bicycle first, then connect the AC power to avoid sparking.
  • H) When the E-bike is not used for a long time, please turn off the main switch in time and charge it in time. Store the battery after fully charged, and charge it frequently if not been used for a long time, so as to avoid serious power loss of battery.
  • I) Your current insurance business may not cover the situation you may encounter when riding an electric bike, please contact your insurance company or insurance broker for relevant consultation.
  • J) Follow the local road laws, riders under 18 years old should get parental permission before riding it.
  • K) E-bikes are vehicles with certain risk factors. At the same time, when emergency, brake the rear wheel first, then brake the front wheel. There is a danger of tipping over if you brake the front wheel suddenly, please ride carefully.
  • L) Keep the two keys properly. If necessary, you should get more spare keys.

Battery key positions

Familiarize yourself with the key port and key positions before riding the bike. The photo below shows the key port aligned in key position 1, in line with the icon. In key position 1, the battery is in the“ ” position, with the battery locked to the frame, and the key can’t be removed.

Anytime the battery is in key position1, ( , Power on, Locked to frame) the display power button will turn the bike on and off, but the battery cannot be removed. lf the battery is in key position.2,( , locked to the frame) no buttons or controls can be activated, the bike will remain off, and the battery cannot be removed. Anytime the battery is in key position.3,( , Initial position, Unlocked from Frame,(for battery removal)) the battery must be removed from the bike before moving or riding the bike. The key can be removed from battery.
NOTICE: You have to press the key then you can switch to unlock position

Display description

Button definitions
There are five buttons on the operating unit of display YI80C, i.e., the on/off button , plus button , minus button , and switching button .

General operation

Power on/off
By pressing and holding the button , the display will start to work and the working power supply of the controller will be turned on. In the power-on state, by pressing the button , your e-bike will be powered off. In the power- off state, the display will no longer use the battery power, and its leakage current will be less than luA .lf your e-bike is not used for more than 10 minutes, the display will be automatically powered off.

Display interface
After the display is turned on, the display will show the real-time speed (km/h) and the trip distance (km) by default. By pressing the button , the information displayed will be switched between the trip distance (km), ODO (km), maximum speed (km/h), average speed (km/h) and riding power.

Push assistance
By pressing and holding the button , the electric push assistance mode will be enabled. Your e-bike will run at the constant speed of 6km/h. The display will show . By releasing the button , your e-bike will immediately stop power output and return to the state before push assistance.

The push assistance function can only be used when you are pushing your e-bike. Please do not use it during riding.

Assist level selection
By pressing the button / the e-bike assist level will be switched to change the motor output power.

Battery level indicator
The battery level indicator consists of five segments. When the battery is fully charged, the five segments will be all on. ln case of under voltage, the outline of the battery indicator will flash, which means the battery has to be charged immediately.

Motor power indicator
The display can indicate the output power of the motor, as shown in the figure below.

Error code indicator
When a fault occurs in the electronic control system of your e-bike, the display will automatically indicate the error code. Detailed definitions of error codes are shown below.

When an error code appears on the display interface, please conduct troubleshooting in time. Otherwise, your e-bike will not work normally.

General setting

All parameters can only be set when your e-bike stops. The steps for general setting are as follows: In the power-on state, when the display shows the speed of 0,

  1. Press and hold the buttons and at the same time for more than 2 seconds to enter the selection interface of general setting options;
  2. Press the button / to switch the selection interface of general setting options, and press the button to enter the parameter modification interface;
  3. Press the button / for parameter selection;
  4. Press the button to save the parameter and return to the selection interface of general setting options;
  5. Press and hold the button to save the parameter and exit the selection interface of general setting options. The following selection interfaces of general setting options arc available:

Trip distance reset
tC refers to the trip distance reset item. tC-n means not to reset the trip distance, and tC-y means to reset the trip distance. Press the button to enter the parameter modification interface. Press the button / for parameter selection. Press the button to save the parameter and return to the selection interface of general setting options.

Backlight luminance setting
bL relfers to the backlight luminance setting option. Parameters bL-1, bL-2 and bL-3 are available, which represent the backlight luminance, 1 for the minimum luminance,2 for the standard luminance and 3 for the maximum luminance. Press the button to center the parameter modification interface. Press the button / for parameter selection. Press the button to save the parameter and return to the selection interface of general setting options.

Metric/imperial system setting

  • Un refers to the metric/imperial system setting option. U-1 represents the imperial system, and U-2 represents the metric system.
  • Press the button to enter the parameter modification interface. Press the button / for parameter selection.
  • Press the button to save the parameter and return to the selection interface of general setting options.

General parameter setting

The steps for general parameter setting are as follows: In the power-on state, when the display shows the speed of 0,

  1. Press and hold the buttons / at the same time for more than 2 seconds to enter the selection interface of general setting options;
  2. Press the button and at the same time for more than 2 seconds to enter the selection interface of general setting options;
  3. Press the button / to switch the function, and press the button to enter the parameter modification interface;
  4. Press the button /  for parameter selection;
  5. Press the button to save the parameter and enter the next selection interface of general parameter setting options;
  6. Press and hold the button to save the parameter and exit the selection interface of general parameter setting options.

Wheel diameter setting
Ld refers to the wheel diameter setting option. Available parameters include: 8-26,700C, 28-30 inches. Press the button to enter the parameter modification interface. Press the botton / to selct the wheel diameter corresponding to your e-bike (to ensure the accuracy of the speed and distance indication of the display). Press the button to save the parameter and enter the next selection interface of general parameter setting options.

Speed limit setting
LS refers to the speed limit setting option. By modifying this value, you can set the maximum riding speed of your e-bike. The selectable range of the maximum speed setting value is 12km/h-40km/h. Press the button to enter the parameter modification interface. Press the button / to select the maximum riding speed. Press the button to save the parameter and enter the next selection interface of general parameter setting options.

Restore default settings
dEF refers to the setting option of restoring default parameters. dEF-Y means that the default settings need to be restored, and dEF-N means that there is no need to restore the default settings. In the normal display interface, press and hold the buttons and at the same time for more than 2 seconds to enter the restore default settings interface. Switch the parameter by pressing the button / . If you choose Y, press and press the button to confirm the parameter. The display will indicate dEF-0 and automatically start to restore the default settings. After the restoration is completed, it will automatically exit and return to the normal display interface.

Daily use

After the bike has been properly assembled according to the instruction, all components are secured correctly. And you have read this entire manual, turn on the e-bike and select a pedal assist level to start following the steps below.

Charging Method

  1. Step 1: The battery can be charged on and off the bike. The charging port is at the tail of the battery.
  2. Step2: Inset the charging port of the charger to the connecting charge port of the battery (please make sure the charge port is dry).
  3. Step 3: When the charger indicator turns red, it is charging; when it turns green, it is fully charged. After fully charged, please stop charging, as the long-term charge will affect the service life of the battery.
  4. Step 4: After charging, please cover the charging port in case water in.

Safety tips when charging
Please charge at least 5 hours before first use.
In order to maximum extend the battery life, please charge it every one month or two days after riding it. Please charge it under proper temperature and environment.

  • Not charging timely may cause battery damage. As time goes by, battery capacity will gradually run out, and eventually lead to battery over-discharge.
  • Please use the battery, charger and cable provided by original manufacturer, to avoid dangers caused by battery overcharge.
  • Please ensure correct connection of the charger and the cable, as well as enough ventilation environment.
  • Please use it under dry condition. It is NOT allowed to make the charger or cable connect with water, as it may result in electric shock. Please do not tough with wet hands.
  • If there is any failure during charging, please immediately pull up the power plug.
  • Please guarantee to pull it up from the plug, not from the cable.
  • Please do not make the charger or cable contact sharp or high temp. articles. Please regularly make sight check to the charger and its cable
  • If there is obvious damage of the charger or cable, in order to avoid further damage, please do not use the charger any more, and contact for exchange.
  • Please do not personally repair the battery, charger or cable. Any questions, please contact us.

Battery Lock
Test the battery lock security. Ensure the key port is aligned with the icon, which indicated the battery is powered on and locked onto the frame mount.
Carefully use both hands to pull up on the battery to test that the lock is secure.

Handlebar and Seat
Ensure proper handlebar and seat adjustment. Lowering the seat so the rider can put one or both feet flat on the ground may offer a safer and more comfortable introduction to operating the bike. Ensure the handlebar bolts and seat post quick release are fully and properly secured.

Power on/off
Press and hold the power button “ ” for approximately 3 seconds to turn on/off the bike.

Front Light
Long press the “ ” button to turn on/off the front light.

Electric Horn
Press the horn switch to remind passers-by or animals ahead when needed.

PAS Level
Select the desired level of pedal assistance(PAS) between level 0 to 3. Using the + and – buttons to remote. Level 1 corresponds to the lowest level of pedal assistance and level 3 corresponds to the highest level of pedal assistance. Level 0 indicates pedal assistance is inactive. Start in PAS level 0 or 1 and adjust from there.

Speed Control Handle
The speed control handle is used by slowly and carefully rotate the handle downward without pedaling. Do not use the throttle unless you are on the bike.

6km/h Push Mode
Long press the” – ” button for 5 seconds till the push mode mark turns up on the screen. Then the push mode is activated.

Cruise Control
Accelerate the bike with the speed control handle to the speed that you want and keep for over 8 seconds. Then the cruise mode will be activated. The cruise mode can be turned off by braking or accelerating.
