OWLRA L20 Electronic Insect Trap

Attract,Trap and Kill Mosquitoes And other flying insects.including Biting Flies, Wasps, Moths.Sink Bugs, No-see-urns and more. Ultraviolet Bulb ( Replacement bulbs included)
For best results, replace bulbs every 120days.

Working Principle

  1. Light attraction: mosquitoes have a strong response to ultraviolet light. UV light generate heat and CO,
  2. Suction: After the ultraviolet light attract mosquitoes to the lamp body around, the mosquito control device is equipped with a powerful suction fan, which can form a high-speed air stream to draw mosquitoes into the device.
  3. Capture: When mosquitoes are sucked into the device, they are captured. Mosquitoes and insects die and dehydrate in the van.

How To Use

  1. Plug the cord to power source. Please use waterproof socket for outdoor use.
  2. Press the red button to “1”. After 2- 3 seconds, the light is on.
  3. Place the trap on the table, Or hang on the hook that is 3-6 feet from the ground.
  4. For best capture, keep it on at all times (24hours) except when cleaning or maintenance.
  5. Capture rate activity is higher at night. For the best capture rates, place the device away from other competing light sources.
  6. The unit is designed for all-weather outdoor use, including rainy weather conditions. Suitable for home and commercial, indoor and outdoor use.

MAINTAINANCE AND CLEANING

Frequent cleaning will prolong the life if the unit, ensure fire prevention and provide for more efficient operation.

  1. Be sure to clean the unit once per week.
  2. To clean, first turn off the switch. Unplug the unit.
  3. Twist left the bottom retaining cage, separate the retaining cage from the trap’s main body.
  4. Clean the inside of the retaining cage and fan with a soft brush.

REPLACING BULBS

Package includes 3 bulbs for replacement (or equivalent G24 Type-56V/7W Bulbs)
The light bulb life expectancy is approximately 3,000 hours (or about 4 months),and should be replaced regularly to ensure optimal UV effectiveness. Even though the bulb’s light may be visible to you, it’s ability to attract insects diminishes over time.

  1. Turn OFF the switch, unplug the unit, and allow bulb to cool before replacing.
  2. Remove 4 screws and gently open the top cover, taking care not to disconnect the wires inside.
  3. Wrap a cloth around the bulb or put on gloves to protect your fingers and hands, gently pull out the old bulb and replace it with a new one.
  4. Then check whether the cable is properly connected, avoid the cable being disconnected or squeezed during replacing bulbs.
  5. Position the light bulb with the bottom bulb hole, cover the top lid back, tighten the screw to the base of the light housing.

  2. To disconnect, press the switch to the “O” position, then remove plug from outlet.

  4. Always unplug before replacing lamp. Replace with same type bulb (included in the package).

  8. Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it had been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water or other liquid.
  9. Connect only to a circuit that is protected by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI).
  10. Do not insert fingers or any foreign objects into the unit while it is connected to an electrical outlet.
  11. Collected insects within the unit may contribute to fire so clean insects from the unit frequently.
  12. Do not clean this product with water spray. Do not place where it can fall into water, or near flammable materials.
  13. Do not touch fan while in motion.
  14. Do not abuse cord-never carry or hang unit by cord or yank it to disconnect from receptacle. Keep cord away from sharp edges.
  15. lf using outdoors, use only extension cords with a tag stating, “Suitable for Use with Outdoor Appliances.”
  16. Use only extension cords that have plug and receptacles that match the product plug. Replace or repair damaged cords.
  17. 0nly use attachments recommended or sold by the manufacturer.

If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Q1: Bulb no light, fan does not work. No electrical power.
    Solution: Check plug, receptacle, and fuse or circuit breaker.

  • Q2: Bulbs illuminate,but fan does not work.
    Solution:

    • UNPLUG UNIT: check fan to see that it is free from foreign material, dirt or buildup of dead insects.
    • Clean unit as in “CLEANING” section.
  • Q3: Fan works, but bulbs do no illuminate.
    Solution:

    • Check all sockets for proper bulb seating and alignment.
    • Replace bulbs if needed following instructions under “Replacing Bulbs”.
