Intended Use
- The purpose of the VN-1820 Charger is to charge equipment outfitted with the proprietary Energous energy receiving circuits. The VN-1820 Charger can only be used in conjunction with devices that contain the receiving circuits for charging the native batteries of the equipment.
- If a device that does not contain the Energous receiver circuits no charging will ensue and the VN-1820 Charger will not operate.
- Equipment outfitted with inductive receiver circuits will not charge and the VN-1820 Charger will not operate.
- VN-1820 will only operate once a receiver is placed in the charging area directly to the front of the charger.
- Indoor operation only –not to be used in a wet area, metal surface, or outdoors.
- Professional installation required.
User Operation
The VN-1820 does not contain a power switch. The VN-1820 requires professional
installation which will be installed by using the following instructions.
Place the stand on a flat surface. Insert mounting cleats into corresponding
holes in the back of the device. The device is intended to operate only when
correctly installed into the stand, do not use without the stand. Ensure power
port is at the bottom of the device once mounted. Connect the Jack port cable
end to the VN-1820 Charger and the AC power cable end to the wall outlet. When
not charging, the VN-1820 is in standby mode.
Place the equipment to be charged in front of the VN-1820 charger. The
equipment will commence
charging within a few seconds. Consult the equipment’s user manual for the
time duration and procedures
for charging.

Jack Port
Insert the designated cable at the Jack port cable end to the VN-1820 Charger and the AC power cable end to the wall outlet.

RF Exposure Notice
The VN-1820 is designed for desktop / tabletop use and should be operated to
provide a separation distance of at least 35cm or more from people during use.
The device complies with FCC’s RF exposure rules at a distance of 10cm from
the sides and top of the device. The charger employs proximity sensing and
will automatically shut off when persons are closer than 35cm to the front of
the charger. There are no user adjustments and charging commences only when
the proximity sensors permit commencement of power transfer.
