Product Usage Instructions
Power Wiring:
- Connect the grid to the ATS’s normal power port.
- Connect the diesel generator output to the ATS’s backup power port.
- Connect the inverter’s grid input to the ATS’s output port.
Signal Wiring:
- Connect PIN3: DRY_RLY1- and PIN4: DRY_RLY1+ of the inverter Meter/CT/RS485 plug to the two ends of the dry contact input that controls the start of the diesel generator.
- Connect the ATS’s backup power supply normally open feedback contact to PIN12 VCC and PIN13 DRM1 of COM plug.
GenSet Integration Settings:
- Open the menus on the inverter screen by pressing the tick button.
- Scroll down to settings, press the tick button.
- Enter password 0000 and access settings.
- Scroll down to Feature, press the tick button.
- Select DieselGen and press the tick button.
- Select En/Dis, scroll to Enabled, and press the tick button.
- Set Gen Start SOC and Gen Stop SOC as desired.
- Set Gen Powerlimit for maximum power output of the generator.
- Adjust Min Interval to prevent immediate restart after stopping.

Wiring order
Power wiring
- Connect the grid to the ATS’s normal power port
- Connect the diesel generator output to the ATS’s backup power port
- Connect the inverter’s grid input to the ATS’s output port

The PIN definitions of Meter/485 interface are as below.
METER/CT/RS485 interface (20pin terminals)
- Connect the ATS’s backup power supply normally open feedback contact to PIN12 VCC and PIN13 DRM1 of COM plug
GenSet Integration settings
- Open the menus on the inverter screen by pressing the tick button
- Scroll down to settings, press the tick button
- Password is 0000, press the tick button until you access settings
- Scroll down to Feature, press the tick button
- Scroll to DieselGen and press the tick button
- Select En/Dis and press the tick button
- Scroll to Enabled and press the tick button
- Press the tick button again and the screen should say success
- Press back till you get to the DieselGen menu
- Scroll down to Gen Start SOC, press the tick button
- Set your desired SOC that you want the generator to start at
- Press the tick button, will say success
- Press back till you get to the DieselGen menu
- Scroll down to Gen Stop SOC, press the tick button
- Set the desired SOC that you want the generator to stop at.
- Press the tick button, will say success
- Press back till you get to the DieselGen menu
- Scroll down to Gen Powerlimit, press the tick button
- Set the maximum power limit of the generator output
- Press the tick button, will say success
- Press back till you get to the DieselGen menu
- Scroll to Min Interval and change to your required time frame
The Min Interval prevents the generator from starting again too soon after it stops, ensuring it won’t restart immediately even if the batteries drain back to the Max Start SOC quickly after reaching the Stop SOC.
