Where to put your hub
To get the best signal, the ideal place for your Smart 4G Hub will be near a
window. Try a few different areas until you find the one with the best signal.
Things that can affect your signal strength
Concrete or wooden walls can weaken the transmission of wireless signals.
Electrical appliances that project strong electric or magnetic fields such as
microwave ovens, refrigerators and satellite antennas can negatively affect
your signal. Place your router away from such appliances.

What’s in the box
- Only use the EE approved power supply included in this box.
- Unapproved chargers may be dangerous and damage to the device.
Getting started with your device:
Insert SIM
Follow the 3 steps in the illustration below.
- Open the SIM slot cover.
- Insert the SIM into the SIM slot.
- Close the SIM slot cover.
Do not remove the SIM when your Smart 4G Hub is in use. Doing so will affect the performance of your device, and data stored on the SIM may be lost.
SET UP YOUR SMART 4G HUB
Make sure you read through all the instructions so that you can access and enjoy the internet anytime anywhere.
- Insert the Nano-SIM into the slot with the gold contacts facing downwards. Push the SIM into the slot smoothly with your finger. Do not use any tool, as this may damage the SIM. Fully insert the Nano-SIM until it clicks into place.
- Connect your power supply to your Smart 4G Hub and a mains socket. To ensure your Smart 4G Hub works and performs as intended, it is recommended you only use the accessories provided with your Smart 4G Hub.
- Getting online. Ensure your Smart 4G Hub is switched on and connected to the network. To connect your device to the internet, go to the network settings and search for your Smart 4G Hub. Your network name and password can be found on your Keep Me Card.
How to change WiFi Password

Type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press the enter key.
The Home page will then load. -
Click Login and enter the password.
Password: xxxxxxxx
The password can be found on the label on the bottom of the device. -
Go to Settings > WiFi > Basic to change WiFi password.
Safety reminder
- During thunderstorms, turn off the device and remove all cables.
- Do not use an external antenna or a power supply that is not a standard component for the device or is not EE approved. EE is not liable for any problems that may result from use of unapproved equipment. Outdoor antennas must be installed by a qualified technician.
- The modem and SIM card are not compatible with any other device.
