Take note of all the following when playing with your Pinkfong® Baby Shark™ Dancing DJ:
- Do not immerse the Baby Shark™ Dancing DJ in water or any other form of liquid.
- If your Baby Shark™ Dancing DJ gets dirty, you can spit clean with a clean cloth; do not submerge.
- As a best practice, we recommend lying up any loose hair when playing with the Baby Shark™ Dancing DJ. To avoid discomfort or injury, do not place the Baby Shark™ Dancing DJ on or near a person’s head or lace.
GETTING STARTED
HOW TO PLAY
DANCE GAME
- TO ACTIVATE: Press the DANCE button to start the Dance Game.
- MUSIC CHOICES: Press the DANCE button again to switch songs. Songs for this game are the Baby Shark™ Official DJ Jauz Remix (default), Baby Shark™ EDM, and Baby Shark™ Song.
- THE GOAL: Collect all the stars!
- HOW TO PLAY: When the music starts, the LED Stars will indicate Level 1. Dance directly in front of Baby Shark™ (make sure that you are close to the special dance detection motion sensors on the front of the DJ console). When you move, Baby Shark™ moves and encourages you to keep dancing by giving you more star points. There are 4 Levels (indicated when the LED Stars light up). In this game, each LED Star is worth 5 star points. If you keep dancing, Baby Shark™ will continue to dance even faster. If you stop dancing, Baby Shark™ will dance slower, prompt you to keep up, and then stop dancing. If you walk away, Baby Shark™ will stop dancing and prompt you. Keep dancing to collect all 20-star points!
PLAY GAME
- TO ACTIVATE: Press the PLAY button to start the Play Game.
- MUSIC CHOICES: Press the PLAY button again to switch songs. Songs for this game are Disco Sharks (default) and the Baby Shark™ Remix.
- THE GOAL: Keep all 4 Stars lit at all times!
- HOW TO PLAY: Listen to Baby Shark’s instructions. Make sure that you are close to the special dance detection motion sensors on the front of the DJ console. If you move when Baby Shark™ says “Freeze” you lose a star. But don’t worry, you can gain a star back by following Baby Shark’s instructions! If you already have 4 stars, then you have “fantastic” listening skills!
LEARN GAME
- TO ACTIVATE: Press the LEARN button to start the Learn Game.
- MUSIC CHOICES: Press the LEARN button again to switch songs. Songs for this game are Shark 123 (default) and Shark ABC.
- THE GOAL: Learn ABCs and 123s while collecting Star Points!
- HOW TO PLAY: When the music starts, the LED Stars will indicate Level 1. Dance directly in front of Baby Shark™ (make sure that you are close to the special dance detection motion sensors on the front of the DJ console). When you move, Baby Shark™ moves and will keep dancing and singing educational songs. Can you dance and learn your ABCs and 123s? As you sing and learn you will collect Star Points (4 Levels). If you keep dancing, Baby Shark™ will continue to dance even faster. If you stop dancing, Baby Shark™ will dance slower, prompt you to keep up, and then stop dancing. If you walk away, Baby Shark™ will stop dancing and prompt you. Keep dancing to learn what Baby Shark™ has to teach you!
Note: You can stop the Dancing DJ from playing music or dancing at any time by either:
- A. Press and hold the Dance Gome button, or
- B. Press both the Ploy Gome and Learn Gome buttons at the same time.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Does the Dancing DJ work better on the table or the floor?
- It can work on both! Just make sure to keep dancing! Baby Shark™ will let you know if you’re too for!
How far away should someone stand in front of the Dancing DJ in order for it to detect motion and dance moves?
- Baby Shark will prompt you to come closer if you are too for!
When do I change the batteries?
- When your Dancing DJ moves slower than normal or sounds irregular, that indicates that the power is low and that the batteries should be replaced.
The music volume is low and it’s difficult to hear the instructions.
- Make sure the On/Off switch is set to the High Volume setting to better hear Baby Shark’s songs and instructions.

BATTERY INFORMATION
- Lay your Dancing DJ down so that the battery compartment faces you. Dancing DJ requires 4 x AA “LR6” 1.5V Batteries (included).
- Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included) remove the screws on the battery compartment cover.
- Remove any existing batteries and insert new batteries according to the diagram. Ensure that the positive and negative polarities match the illustrations inside the battery compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screws using the screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION
- Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries [standard (Corban-Zinc)/ Alkaline or rechargeable], or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before recharging them.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Please respect the correct polarity, (+) and (-).
- Do not try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
- Replace all batteries of the same type/brand at the same time.
