Product Usage Instructions
Description of Quick Access Keys Function
The KB-G8400 keyboard features quick access keys that can be used in combination with the Fn key for various functions:

- Fn + F4: Mute/Unmute
Installation of the Software
To fully utilize the features of the keyboard, it is recommended to install the software available on the SVEN official website. The software allows you to configure backlight modes, reassign keys, and program macros.
Backlight Configuration
- The keyboard supports various backlighting modes that can be adjusted using the software. You can increase or decrease brightness levels and switch between different backlighting modes.
Macro Menu
- Macros are sequences of events that can be programmed on the keyboard. This includes pressing and releasing keyboard keys, mouse buttons, and setting time intervals between actions.
FAQ
- Q: How do I turn on/off the backlighting on the keyboard?
- A : To turn on/off the backlighting, press Fn + Pg Down shortcut keys simultaneously.
UNPACKING
- Unpack the device carefully. Make sure there are no accessories left in the box. Check up the device for damage; if the product was damaged during transportation, address the firm which carried out the delivery; if the product functions incorrectly, address the dealer at once.
- Shipping and transportation equipment is permitted only in the original container.
- Does not require special conditions for realization.
- Dispose of in accordance with regulations for the disposal of household and computer equipment.

- Connect the keyboard to an available USB port of your PC.
- Installation of keyboard is automatic after its connection to USB port of PC.

Note. Press the shortcut keys while holding the Fn key.
INSTALLATION OF THE SOFTWARE
Software is hosted at SVEN official web-site www.sven.fi. Download and install
the software. Soft-ware extends features of keyboard, allows to configure
backlight modes, re-assign keys and pro-gram macros.
Button menu (buttons configuration)
Functional keys assignment (Fn function)
In the Fn function window: the keys F1–F12 are assigned with values among the functions, pre-sented in the list. The functions allow to control media player, sound and a keyboard, as well as open different system programs.
Blocking functions Locking:
- ALT+F4 Locking — blocking keyboard shortcuts;
- Win & App Locking — blocking a Windows key;
- Full-key locking — complete blocking of a keyboard.

Re-assignment of individual keys
In order to re-assign (assign) new functions to the keys, it is necessary to click on a key with a mouse. A window will open, like on a screenshot below.
In a window on the left there are the following settings:
- Default — returns key assignment by default;
- Media — multimedia functions;
- Light control — functions to adjust keyboard backlight;
- Special function — assigns FN or Full-key Locked (keyboard blocking) function to a key;
- Disable — disables a key;
- Macro — macro command (it is necessary to programme the macros in advance);
- Keyboard keys — assign any button from a keyboard.
Creation of profiles
In a Configuration window (a button with three dots) a user can save, load or
delete a profile. In order to re-turn to default settings, press Reset.
Backlight configuration
Light menu helps configure the keyboard backlight and includes the following operation modes:
- Backlight Off — turning off the backlight;
- Breathing — alternate turning on of the selected colors. Number of indicating colors can be set by a user. Flicker frequency is set by a user via a Frequency control;
- Constant — the keyboard is lighted with a single set color, no flickering. Backlight bright-ness is set by a user via a Brightness control;
- Response — backlight is turned on when the keyboard buttons are pressed. Lighting se-quence and number of colors is set by a user. Duration and brightness of re-sponse are set by Frequency and Brightness controls. There is an option to set different visual backlight ef-fects and change their settings;
- Neon — lighted alternately by all seven colors. Flick-er frequency is set by a user via a Frequency control. Smooth alternation of colors;
- Ambilight — progressive wave effect. Flicker fre-quency is set by a user via a Frequency control. Direc-tion of the progressive backlight wave can be changed using Direction (left/right) and Simmety (from the mid-dle) options;
- Comet Tail — “comet tail” backlight mode. Lighting effects are configured the way described above;
- Flow Water — lighting effects in a wave form. Also there is an option to control brightness and backlight alternation frequency;
- Flashing — the backlight flashes in sectors, color of sectors is selected from the palette;
- Monochromatic Wave — sectorial breathing mode with a frequency control option;
- Partition — static backlight of the keyboard.
MACRO menu
Macro is a sequence of events, consisting of pressing and releasing keyboard
keys, mouse but-tons, as well as time intervals between the pressings.
Macros editor window is separated in two parts. Macro area contains a list of groups and names of macros, Key in macro area shows a list of commands for the selected macro. The right part contains additional options:
- Loop to release — repeating a macro while the button is pressed;
- Loop to re-click — macro is repeated in cycles at single pressing and releasing of a button, the first pressing — start of macro entry, the second pressing — end of macro entry;
- Start the loop — repeating a macro in cycles at single pressing of a button, number of cycles can be changed in a right window.
Creation of a new macro
In order to create a macro, it is necessary to hov-er a mouse cursor to a
Macro window area, click a right mouse button and select Add a new macro group
from the list. By default this creates a group titled New, then in the same
sequence it is nec-essary to create a macro name Add a new macro (by default,
a new macro is titled New).
Recording a macro
Macro commands are recorded after button is pressed, in a window Key in macro
you will see all the pressed buttons, button finishes the process of command
entry.
Editing a macro
In order to edit a macro, click with a mouse on a row that you need to edit
(the row will be high-lighted in gray), press and select the required item
from the context menu.
Assigning a pre-recorded macro to buttons on a keyboard
- In order to assign a macro in Button menu, it is neces-sary to click on a selected button, that you need to assign a macro created earlier.
- In an opened window select Macro. In Macro group field select a group of macros from the list. Then in Macro field select the necessary macro from the list.
- All the settings can be saved using button, in order to cancel and close an application press .
- In order to save all the changes, press a green button , and a red button in order to cancel.
- Attention: the saved settings operate only with the run-ning software; if you close software, key-board will op-erate by default.
TROUBLESHOOTING

is not working.
| 1. Disconnect keyboard from PC and check connector pins for possible damage. If there is no external damage found and connector pins are OK, connect keyboard to PC again.
2. We recommend to address the nearest authorized service center.
