2022 Plus Patriot Boost Muffler
Tools Required: 10mm Socket, ratchet, extension, spring puller or
shoelace, flathead screwdriver, 17mm wrench
Step 1: Remove side panels and hood
Step 2: Remove the turbo air intake adapter ( 2- plastic push darts and
hose clamp) Carefully lay it to the side and leave the sensor
attached.
Step 3: Remove the exhaust springs holding on the wastegate adapter (2),
turbo (4), and stock muffler (1)
Step 4: Remove the 2 v-band clamps connecting the stock muffler to the
turbo and wastegate adapter. Remove the EGT sensor from the stock muffler and
lay it to the side. Double check to make sure everything has been disconnected
from the muffler and remove it. Step 5: Remove the grommet from the
factory muffler and install it into the Silber one. It is tapered and installs
and removes through the bottom of the mount. Once installed set the muffler
into place.
Step 6: Remove the seal components from
the stock muffler and install them onto the Silber adapter. Be gentle with the
seal when sliding it over the tube to prevent damaging it.
Step 7 : Do to the way the wastegates adapter mounts it may be
easier to sand any burrs or imperfections on the inner flange. The clearance
of our muffler is tighter than the
factory to seal better. Due to the way the system clamps you may need to remove a little additional material if it has been over torqued previously. Step 8: Set the factory wastegate elbow in place and align the wastegate connections. Once aligned tighen the v-band clamp at the base and then the one going to the factory elbow. Install the main v-band clamp to the turbo.
Step 9: Re-install exhaust springs and install the EGT sensor.
Step 10 : Re-install the air intake and give your install a once over.
