Before You Start

  • Please read all instructions carefully.

  • Separate and count all parts and hardware.
  • Read through each step carefully and follow the proper order.
  • We recommend that, where possible, all items are assembled near to the area in which they will be placed in use, to avoid moving the product unnecessarily once assembled.
  • Always place the product on a flat, steady and stable surface.
  • Keep all small parts and packaging materials for this product away from babies and children as they potentially pose a serious choking hazard.
  • Please read all the instruction carefully before you use the appliance and keep it for future use

General Instructions

Congratulations on the purchase of your new electric blanket. Before first using your new appliance, it is important that you read all instructions carefully, even if you are familiar with the appliance.

  1. Your electric blanket should be placed directly onto the mattress with the power lead near the edge of the pillow. If using a mattress protector this goes over the electric blanket.
  2. Ensure that the electric blanket is one to suit your mattress- i.e. a Queen-size electric blanket must be used on a Queen-size mattress. Do not use a Single Bed blanket on a Double, a Queen or a King size mattress. Not use a Double, a Queen or a King size blanket on a Single Bed mattress.
  3. Attach the blanket to the mattress as per “How to Secure Your Electric Blanket”. This will keep it flat and avoid unnecessary wear by crumpling. Then make the bed in your usual manner.
  4. Its size is such as to give even, all over warmth for the remainder of the bed surface. The blanket should not be tucked in at the sides.
  5. When securely attached to the mattress, connect the plug to the power point and switch on. The flexible cord and switch must be kept outside the bed and away from open windows or exposure to moisture.
  6. It is recommended that the cord switch is set to higher position for half an hour before going to bed and then can be turned down to setting ‘1’ or of altogether depending on your own requirements whilst in bed .
    KEEP YOUR BLANKET FLAT AND FULLY SPREAD OUT WHEN SWITCHED ON. FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL CAUSE OVERHEATING.

How To Secure Your Electric Blanket

  1. Place blanket on mattress, leaving room for the pillow and with the mains lead of the pillow end.
  2. Blanket should be firmly secured to the mattress. Tie this blanket securely ( we do not offer the fixation rope) .
  3. Must only be used with original controller, mixed used controllers from different blanket may be damage the blanket.
  4. Used only as an under blanket.

Overheat Protection
All Electric Blankets are fitted with our Overheat safeguard system. This offers protection against overheating or damage to the element by disengaging the power to the heating element before any overheat hazards occurs.

IMPORTANT
CHECK DAILY THAT YOUR BLANKET IS FLAT, FULLY SPREAD OUT AND SECURED BEFORE SWITCHING ON.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL CAUSE OVERHEATING. THIS WILL ACTIVATE OUR OVERHEATING SAFEGUARD SYSTEM, THUS LEAVING THE BLANKET INOPERATIVE.

  1. Use as an under blanket only. Not recommended for Futons or similar bedding systems.
  2. This blanket is not recommended to be used on an adjustable bed, if used on an adjustable bed, check that the blanket or cord cannot become caught or rucked.
  3. Make sure that the heating area (element) on any side of the bed does not hang over the edge of the mattress; that the means of attachment are adequate and suitable for the particular mattress; and that the instructions which follow are read carefully before using the blanket.
  4. The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. For human use only, not pets.
  5. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  6. Prolonged application at the high setting can result in skin burns.
  7. Do not tuck in.
  8. Do not use tucked or folded.
  9. Keep the control unit away from an open window.
  10. Do not use pins-they may damage the electric wiring.
  11. Be sure that this blanket is used only on an alternating current supply circuit of the proper voltage.
  12. The supply flexible cord and switch must, as far as practicable, be kept outside the bed.
  13. Do not switch the power on if the blanket is wet or in a folded stated.
  14. Switch off at the power outlet and remove plug when this blanket is not in actual use.
  15. This blanket must be kept in the fully spread condition at all times during use to avoid overheating. It is imperative that the blanket be frequently inspected to ensure that this condition is being maintained.
  16. Bedclothes should not be folded back when the blanket is switched on. Do not leave heavy objects on the bed when the unit is switched on, e.g. folded blankets, or suitcases.
  17. Arrange the blanket so that it is not beneath pillows and /or bolsters.
  18. Do not launder or dry-clean this blanket. Cleaning liquid may have a deleterious effect on the insulation or covering of the heating unit.
  19. Person suffering from bed-wetting should not use this electric blanket.
  20. If any abnormality or defect in operation of this blanket is observed, discontinue its use immediately and consult qualified technician.
  21. The blanket should be examined frequently for signs of wear, either of the blanket, controller the flexible cord. If wear is visible, the blanket should be examined for inspection and overhaul. Servicing, by law, must be undertaken by a qualified and registered person.
  22. It is recommended you follow instructions for localized soiling if a small amount of soiling occurs.
  23. The blanket must not be used over or under a water bed.
  24. You may notice a blue flash in the switch when it is moved from one setting to another. This is NOT dangerous and it is only the copper parts making contact.
  25. It is recommended that your electric blanket is inspected by a qualified and registered person after 3 year of use.
  26. When storing, fold neatly but not tightly (or roll) without sharp bends in the heating element and store where no other objects will placed upon it.
  27. Avoid pressing creases into the appliance.
  28. This appliance is for domestic use only. Not intended for use in hospitals.
    Note: No user-serviceable parts inside.

Compulsory Warning

  • If the supply cord is damaged it must be discarded.

Recommended Cleaning Instructions
Treatment for Localized soiling: Switch the unit off and unplug. The area affected should be sponged gently using a natural wool detergent or mild soap flakes in lukewarm water, followed by two sponging with clean lukewarm water. Lightly compress the treated area between two towels to absorb excess water, and spread out flat to dry in shady area. This blanket should not be hung to dry.
The connections to the blanket should be kept free of moisture as much as possible.

Return / Damage Claim Instructions

  • DO NOT discard the box/ original packaging.
    In case a return is required, the item must be returned in original box. Without this your return will not be accepted.

  • Take a photo of the box markings.
    A photo of the markings (text) on the side of the box is required in case a part is needed for replacement. This helps our staff identify your product number to ensure you receive the correct parts.

  • Take a photo of the damaged part (if applicable).
    A photo of the damage is always required to file a claim and get your replacement or refund processed quickly. Please make sure you have the box even if it is damaged.

  • Send us an email with the images requested.
    Email us directly from marketplace where your item was purchased with the attached images and a description of your claim.
