Note:

  • It is recommended to remove the headset before charging. The headset will automatically turn off while charging.
  • Any 3rd party USB charger can be used with Sena products if approved by FCC, CE, IC, or other locally approved agencies.
  • Using a non-approved charger may cause fire, explosion, leakage, and other hazards which may also reduce the lifetime or performance of the battery.

Assigning Speed Dial Presets Speed Dial Presets can be assigned through the Sena Marine App.

Using Speed Dial Presets

  1. Press and hold the (+) Button for 3 sec until you hear “Speed dial.”
  2. Navigate forward or backward by tapping the (+) Button or the (-) Button.
  3. Last number redial
  4. Speed dial 1
  5. Speed dial 2
  6. Speed dial 3
  7. Cancel
  8. Tap the Multi-function Button to proceed.

MESH INTERCOM

What is Mesh Intercom?
Mesh Intercom™ instantly provides effortless communication between users without a pre-grouping process. Freely communicate with virtually unlimited users in each of the 9 available channels.

Starting Mesh Intercom

  • Mesh Intercom On
  • Mesh Intercom Off

Channel Setting (Default: Channel 1)
If the Mesh communication experiences interference because other groups are also using the same channel, you can change to one of the other eight channels.

  1. Double-tap the Mesh Intercom Button.
  2. Navigate forward or backward by tapping the (+) Button or the(-) Button.
  3. 3. Tap the Multi-function Button to save the channel.

Note

  • To automatically save a channel after setting it, wait approximately 10 seconds before pressing any other buttons.
  • The channel will be saved even if you turn off the NAUTITALK BOSUN.
  • The Sena Marine App can also be used to change the channel.

Mute/Unmute Mic (Default: Unmute)
Use the Mesh Intercom Button to mute/unmute the microphone in any Mesh channel.

Mesh Reach-Out Request

You can request nearby* friends to turn on Mesh Intercom:

  1. To send or receive a request message, you must enable Mesh Reach-Out on the Sena Marine App. Please refer to Section 5.1: “Configuration Setting.”
  2. While your headset’s Mesh Intercom is on, you can send a request message using the Mesh Intercom Button or the Sena Marine App.
  3. Friends who receive the request message must manually turn on their Mesh Intercom using the Mesh Intercom Button or the Sena Marine App.
    Note: Up to 100 m (109 yds) in open terrain

CONFIGURATION SETTING AND FIRMWARE UPDATES

Configuration Setting
You can change the configuration settings of the headset through the Sena Marine App

  • Headset Language
    You can select or change the device language, which will stay saved even if the headset is rebooted.

  • Mesh Reach-Out (Default: Disabled)
    If the Mesh Reach-Out is disabled, a Mesh Reach-Out request message cannot be sent or received.

  • Mesh Intercom Vox Sensitivity (Default: 3)
    The adjustable Mesh Intercom Vox Sensitivity activates voice transmission between 5 levels of voice sensitivity. The lower the sensitivity, the louder you need to speak.

  • Voice Prompt (Default: Enabled)
    While some Voice Prompts may be disabled in the software configuration settings, the following voice prompts are always on:

    • Battery level indicator
    • Speed dial
    • Mesh Intercom
  • Firmware Updates
    To update the firmware, use our Over-The-Air (OTA) Firmware Update in our Sena Marine App.

Note: Do not turn off the headset while updating the firmware, as doing so may damage the product.

Factory Reset
If you wish to erase all of your settings, the headset can be restored to factory default settings using the Factory Reset feature.

  • Press and hold the Multi-function Button for 10 sec until you hear “Headset reset, good-bye.”

Fault Reset
If the headset is not working properly, you can easily reset the unit: When the USB Power Cable (Magnetic USB-C) connects a power supply to the headset, the headset will automatically be turned off and a Fault Reset will occur.

Note : Fault Reset will not restore the headset to factory default settings.
