Supply List for Scrap Swap Playing with Color Instructor: Karen Kehl

· Quilting cotton scraps that you are willing to swap and let go of approximately 1 to 2 yards (weigh about 8-10 ounces). Bring more if you like! A mix of colors including prints, solids, batiks, light, medium, dark, and neutrals works best. Remember you will be swapping fabrics, so you don’t have to curate a particular palette of scraps.
· Scraps should be at least 1 ½ x 1 ½ inches. · Please press all scraps before class, but do not precut fabrics. · Please do not bring fabrics that are not quilting weight cottons (such as
upholstery fabric, acrylic or polyester blends, velvets, etc.). · 18 x 18 inch piece of fabric for backing · 18 x 18 inch piece of batting
Other Necessities:

· Neutral thread (gray or beige) for piecing · Seam ripper · Fabric pen or marker · Hera marker or erasable marker for quilting lines · Small cutting mat and rotary cutter · Rotary cutting ruler, 6 inches x 12 inches works best. · Pins · Thread snips · Optional 4 x 4 inch ruler or 6 x 6 inch ruler (You will be cutting 1 ½ inch
squares, 3 ½ inch squares, and 1 ½ inch x 3 ½ inch rectangles)
CLASS POLICIES: · Please do not bring visitors to class. · Be sure to check your supply list before class. Bring all supplies with you. · If you must cancel the class, your fee can be refunded ONLY if you have notified us at least seven days before the class. The refund will be a store credit. If someone on the waiting list can fill your place, you will receive store credit for the fee, even if you have not notified us by the deadline. · Capital Quilts reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient participation. We require at least two people in a daytime class and three in an evening class. If we cancel the class for this reason, you will receive a full refund of the class fee. (You can avoid this situation by getting a friend to sign up with you!) · If Capital Quilts cancels the class for any reason, including inclement weather, you will receive an email advising you of this situation. We also post store closings on our website, www.capitalquilts.com, and on Facebook.
