Product Usage Instructions

Charging

  • To charge the unit, connect it to a power source using the provided charging socket.
  • The LCD will show the battery capacity, predicted runtime, current discharge, voltage, and watts.
  • Please note that the display may take a moment to stabilize upon charger connection.

RCD Protection

  • The RCD (Residual Current Device) is a safety feature that will protect users from harm.
  • If the generator is tripped, the ‘Power switch’ will fail to illuminate.
  • In such a case, power off the unit, identify and resolve the cause of the trip, and then switch the unit back on.

Charger Protection Fuse

  • If the unit trips to protect the charger, remove the cause of the trip, reset the trip function, and proceed with charging.

Battery Charging Indicator

  • The battery charging indicator on the LCD will provide information on battery capacity in Ah, battery capacity percentage, and other relevant details.

Overview

Operation

  • Check the rated power of the load, and ensure that the load does not exceed the rated power of the generator. If it’s higher use a generator with a higher output power.
  • Turn the generator on by pressing the ‘Power Switch’ and allow 5 seconds for the output to stabilize. The power switch will illuminate once the unit is ready to use.
  • Plug the equipment into the AC output socket.
  • Allow a moment for the display to stabilize upon connection or change of load.
  • A long alarm will sound if the battery voltage is too low, recharge the battery fully.
  • A alarm will also sound if the load is too high, this will stop the output. Ensure the usage is within the output limit.
  • During use the battery low alert will commence when 1Ah only lamp remains in the battery capacity.
  • After use, remove the load and press the ‘Power switch’ to turn the generator off.

Charging

  • Using the supplied AC charger, connect to a suitable supply and switch on.
  • The display screen will show the battery level and charging status.
  • Do not recharge the generator while equipment is plugged into the generator, to do so will cause the charger protection fuse to trip.

Please note: The LCD will take a moment to stabilize upon charger connection.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

  • To ensure heat dissipation, please make sure at least 5cm of space around the generator for smooth airflow.
  • Never submerge in water.
  • If you suspect the unit has water inside, do not use or attempt to recharge.
  • Dropping the Generator may damage the battery or circuit components inside.
  • IF THE GENERATOR HAS BEEN SUBMERGED IN WATER OR SUSTAINED DAMAGE IT COULD BE A FIRE HAZARD.
  • DO NOT USE THE PRODUCT.
  • Place outdoors in a non-combustible container well away from flammable materials. DO NOT RECHARGE THE BATTERY

  • Always recharge the generator on a hard, flat, heat-resistant surface.
  • The battery will not reach optimum performance until 4-5 charging cycles
  • Do not turn the generator off immediately after use, only turn it off once the fan has stopped running.
  • Avoid charging the battery in temperatures below 0°C or exposing the battery to temperatures below -5°C or above 40°C.
  • Never use the charger if the leads, contacts or casings are damaged. Do not use any chargers other than those provided.
  • Never expose the charger to rain, moisture or dampness. If you suspect any of these have occurred then do not use the charger.
  • Always check with your airline before attempting to transport by air.
  • We recommend the generator is recharged every 3 months if not used for a long time.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
