10 Edge Stitch Foot, utilize them as per their respective
instructions to enhance the rug-making process.
Step 5: Attend Class or Work on Your Own
If attending the class with Marcy Lawrence, follow her guidance
and complete the project within the specified time slots.

Book/Pattern Requirements: Jelly Roll Rug by RJ Designs
Fabric Requirements:
1 Jelly Roll package of 2-1/2″ strips, at least 40 strips in the package, OR
cut 40-42 of your own strips 2-1/2″ by the length of the fabric (fabric should
be at least 40″ in length).
1 50 yard package of Bosal “Katahdin” batting OR cut strips of batting 2-1/4″
by the length of the batting, enough for each jelly roll strip
Tools Required:
Rotary Cutter and Mat (leave your mat at home and use ours while you’re in
class)
Thread at least 1100 yards. I used two spools of King Tut variegated thread.
The variegated thread looks great on the rug. I used the color “Freedom” on
the sample. Don’t skimp on the thread! This rug uses a lot of thread!
1 package of sewing machine needles size 90 Jeans needle
Scissors for trimming.
Optional but great to have: Gypsy Quilter Jelly Roll Tube Makerf
If you have a BERNINA #10 edge stitch foot (the one used for 5.5 mm throat
plates), bring it along. Otherwise, don’t worry. We will have these feet
available for class.
