MONACER NR-40KS IT-40 Horn Speaker

Horn Speaker
These instructions are intended for installers with specific knowledge of PA technology.
Please read the instructions carefully prior to installation and keep them for later reference.

Applications
These horn speakers of high efficiency are designed for PA applications. Model IT-40 is specially designed for PA systems using 100 V technology; model NR- 40KS with an impedance of 16 Ω is designed for connection to amplifiers with low output impedance.
The ABS housings are weatherproof (IP 66); therefore, the speakers can also be used for outdoor applications.

Important Instructions for Use

The speaker corresponds to all relevant directives of the EU and is therefore marked with CE.
The speaker corresponds to the relevant UK legislation and is therefore marked with UKCA.

  • Do not expose the speaker to extremely high or low temperatures (admissible ambient temper-ature range –20 °C to +50 °C).
  • For cleaning only use a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp. To remove dirt, only add some wash-ing-up liquid as required; never use chemicals or aggressive detergents.
  • No guarantee claims for the speaker and no liability for any resulting personal or material damage will be accepted if the speaker is used for other purposes than originally intended, if it is not safely installed or not correctly connected, if it is overloaded or if it is not repaired in an expert way.

If the speaker is to be put out of opera-tion definitively, dispose of the speaker in accordance with local regulations.

Installation
Use the mounting bracket to fasten the speaker expertly at a suitable place, then direct the speaker towards the speaker zone.

Electrical Connection

WARNING For model IT-40, there is a hazard of contact with a dangerous volt-age of up to 100 V at the connection cable during operation. Installation must be made by skilled personnel only.

  1. First switch off the amplifier to which the speaker is to be connected!
  2. Connect the speaker to the speaker output of the amplifier. Make sure that all speakers of a speaker zone have the same polarity.
  3. Model IT-40: Adjust the power rating with the switch on the rear prior to switching on the amplifier. To do so, use a screwdriver.

Please make sure to note: In a 100 V system, the total power of all speakers connected must not exceed the amplifier power. Overload may damage the amplifier!
