Description

Maono Maonocaster C1 is an ideal audio card for live-streaming beginners thanks to its high performance and good value. It provides 2×3.5mm TRS microphone inputs and Bluetooth aux-in. And there are 2 3.5mm TRRS live outputs and a USB output for 2-person live streaming. You can easily adjust input and output audio and turn/off phantom power, Bluetooth, reverb effects, side chain, music only, etc. 4 custom sound pads allow you to record individualized sound and adds more fun to your content in different scenarios.

Layout

  1. Mic Control
    Turning the knob clockwise to control mic gain in the device connected via the Mic port.

  2. Low, Middle, and Pitch
    Control mic tone to switch from low, to medium and high.

  3. Audio Effect Voice Control
    Reverb Control knob

  4. Reverb Depth Control Knob
    Rotate the knob clockwise to adjust the reverberation depth.

  5. Custom Effect Volume Knob
    Turning the knob clockwise to adjust the custom audio effect volume.

  6. Voice Changer
    Rotate the knob clockwise to control the mic 1/2 audio from low to pitch.

  7. Power Indicator.

  8. Bluetooth Indicator.

  9. After powering on, the Bluetooth indicator flashes, and it actively searches for and pairs with the connected mobile phone, and it will be solid blue after connecting.

  10. Press and hold the Bluetooth button for more than 2 seconds, the Bluetooth button light will change from solid on to off, and all Bluetooth pairings will be automatically turned off.

  11. Level Display
    Color of the Indicator: 1-5 Green; 6-7 Orange; 8 Red;
    Display the level of accompaniment input, microphone 1/2 inputs, instrument input, sound pad volume, monitoring volume, and recording volume.

  12. Accompaniment Volume Control
    Adjust the fader to turn up or down audio imported from 3.5mm or Bluetooth input.

  13. Output Audio Volume Control
    Turning the knob clockwise to adjust the volume of port Live 1/2 and USB-C.

  14. Monitoring Audio Volume Control
    Adjust the fader to control earphones, headphones, and speaker output volume.

  15. Denoise
    This mode can automatically block the background noise recorded into the microphone so that our singing and live broadcast will not be affected. Click to turn this function on and off, and the indicator light turns on and off.

  16. Bluetooth on/off button
    Click the Bluetooth button to turn on/off the Bluetooth connection feature. Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn on and off the Bluetooth.
    For example, when the custom effect is recording, turning off the Bluetooth switch will cause the recording to be interrupted, and only the recording before turning off will be retained.

  17. Audio effect mode
    There is six audio effect buttons including REVERB PRESETS, SIDE CHAIN, MUSIC ONLY, and LOOP BACK.

  18. Reverb Presets Mode has 6 preset reverberate effects including Studio, KTV, Church, Hall, Valley, and Room. Switching to have a different reverberating effect.

  19. Side Chain Mode can be activated to lower the volume of background music and turn up the hosts’ voices. An indicator light turns on/off when the Music Only mode is on/off.

  20. Music Only Mode can remove vocals in background music and get an instrumental Karaoke track.
    An indicator light turns on/off when the Music Only mode is on/off.

  21. Loopback Mode
    Turning on Loopback will allow the Maonocaster to record the system audio from the USB-C input. If turned off, you can still hear the system audio from monitoring, but it will not be recorded.

  22. Custom sound pads
    There are 4 custom sound pads that allow you to input audio to Maonocaster via a microphone, external device, and Bluetooth input. A/B/C/D buttons can save up to 20s audio.
    By default, there is no customized audio effect.

  23. Recording: with an audio card on, connect it to the mic/external audio input device/Bluetooth devices, long press any custom button for more than 3 seconds. Release press until the indicator slowly blinks and enters recording mode. Short press the button again to stop recording or record until the indicator stops blinking, which indicates the max time length audio is recorded.
    Note: Each custom audio effect button has limited storage, when there is no storage left, it will stop recording and the indicator will go off automatically.

  24. Delete recording: Long press a custom button with existing custom audio for more than 2 seconds, and the indicator will flash quickly and start deleting audio. Lights off indicators a successful audio delete.

  25. Play customized audio: short press a custom button with existing custom audio to play audio, if the indicator blinks after pressing, and turns off when the press is released, it means no custom audio is saved.

  26. On/Off Switch
    Turn the sound card on and off. Press and hold for 3 seconds to power on/off;

  27. DC⎓5V interface
    This interface can be used to power AMC1 via an external power supply.

  28. USB-C interface
    The data interface can be used for the uplink and downlink of the audio signal and can be connected to the computer/mobile phone to complete the recording on the computer/mobile phone, and this interface. The sound card cannot be charged via this interface.

  29. Live 1, 2
    Use the 3.5mm plug audio cable to output the mixed sound of the sound card to mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets through the live broadcast interface. This sound card provides 2 live interfaces with the same function, which can support live broadcasts on multiple platforms at the same time.

  30. Speaker
    Connect external audio equipment, such as speakers, headphones, etc.

  31. Headphone jack
    Support TRRS and TRS plug, and monitor the sound of various audio channels connected to the sound card. After the mobile phone headset is connected to the “headphone” port, only the sound can be heard, and the sound cannot be input to the sound card through the “headphone” port.

  32. Accompaniment interface
    Connect the external audio source or playback device to the sound card through the audio cable, which is convenient for background music accompaniment playback during a live broadcast.
    Headphone
    Universal hands-free headphone jack, compatible with American standard and national standards. Microphones 1 and 2 are connected in parallel and online at the same time; that is, as long as the microphone 1/2 is inserted, the headset is turned off. If a microphone is connected, the headset will be turned off, and the microphone has priority; if the microphone is not plugged in or not online, the headset works both as a monitor headphone and a microphone)

  33. Mic 1/2
    Supports 3.5mm condenser microphone input, which can be matched with our PM325/PM360 microphones.

Soundcard connection guide

Karaoke by mobile phone

  1. Connect the smartphone/headsets/microphone to the podcast console as the picture shows.
  2. Download the karaoke app on your smartphone.
  3. Turn on the podcast console and select the sound effects needed.
  4. Open the app on the smartphone and start to sing.

Note:
Since some smartphones do not have 3.5mm jacks, a USB-C/Lightning to 3.5mm adapter is required Please purchase the 3.5mm audio adapter from the phone manufacturer.

Live Streaming on mobile phones

  1. Connect the live mobile phone, accompaniment mobile phone, earphones, and microphone to
    the sound card as shown in the above figure.

  2. Download the steaming app on your smartphone.

  3. Turn on the podcast console and select the sound effects needed.

  4. Open the music app on the mobile phone end and start streaming.

Note:

  • Please purchase the USB-C/Lightning to 3.5mm audio adapter from the phone manufacturer.
  • The podcast console can support live streaming up to 2 different devices and take up to two microphones inputs at the same time. You do not have to connect all output and input devices if not needed.
  • This sound card supports the simultaneous input of two microphones to the sound card, which can be applied to a two-person live broadcast scene in a live broadcast. For person live broadcast, there is no need to connect two microphones. Please add microphones according to actual needs.

Live streaming on the computer

  1. Connect the accompaniment source (mobile phone), earphones, and microphone to the sound card as shown in the above figure.
  2. Connect the computer and the podcast console by USB-C cable. The computer will automatically recognize the podcast console and select the driver.
  3. Enter the sound control panel of Windows, and set the podcast console “Maonocaster C1” as the system default playback in the “Playback” and “Recording” option.AMC1-Maonocaster-Podcast-Production-Studio-fig-5
  4. 4. Open the live streaming software on the computer and confirm again in software settings that “Maonocaster C1” is the default audio and playback device.

NOTE

  • You can stream to a computer and smartphone at the same time.
  • Please activate “LOOPBACK” mode during call-in in live streaming.
  • Please adjust the settings on the podcast console for each software individually.

  1. You can use the USB-C data cable to connect to the computer, power bank, and power adapter for charging.
  2. When charging, the battery indicator on the sound card will light up in red, and the power indicator will flash according to the battery power.
  3. The DC 5V charging interface only supports charging the sound card and has no data transmission function.

Note:

  • Please charge the podcast console before using for the first time.
  • If not used for a long period, please charge the podcast console every 3 months.
  • Charging is also possible when the power is off.
  • Do not charge for a long time. Please stop charging when the battery is fully charged to avoid over-charging.

Bluetooth Connection
This podcast console has a Bluetooth connection feature (refer to item 5 in the function introduction), which can be connected to a smartphone for live accompaniment.AMC1-Maonocaster-Podcast-Production-Studio-

  1. Turn on the podcast console, the Bluetooth light on the front of the sound card starts to flash.
  2. Search for the device in the Bluetooth menu of the phone, find the Bluetooth device of “Maonocaster C1”, and choose it to connect.
  3. After the phone is connected to the podcast console, the Bluetooth light stops flashing.
  4. Please connect the mobile phone to the podcast console through Bluetooth and set up the accompaniment music player on the mobile phone in advance.
  5. Open the live broadcast software on the mobile phone or computer for live streaming.

Notes

  • Bluetooth connection is limited by distance. Please do not place the too far away from the podcast console to avoid interference.
  • Bluetooth feature is only for accompaniment music playback.

Troubleshooting

Cannot boot

  1. Please check if the podcast console has power, please charge it and then turn it on.
  2. You need to long press the ” ” for more than three seconds to turn it on.

No sound from accompaniment music

  1. Please check whether the external audio source is connected to the accompaniment interface of the podcast console.
  2. Please check whether the accompaniment volume control knob on the right is turned on.
  3. Please check the volume of the accompaniment device.

No sound from the headphones

  1. Please check whether the headphone cable is inserted into the correct interface. It should be inserted into the “Head Phones” or “Monitor Spk” interface.
  2. Please check whether is the “monitor fader” of the sound card upwards. You can gradually increase the volume by sliding it up.

No sound from the microphone

  1. Please check whether the microphone is connected to the microphone jack correctly, please re-plug and try again.
  2. Please check whether the “OUTPUT” knob in the middle is turned on, turn the knob clockwise to slowly turn on the volume of the microphone and try again.
  3. heck whether the “AUX” of the sound card is turned up, and gradually increase the volume.
  4. Please confirm with the microphone dealer whether your microphone can be used with this sound card, or consult us for the recommended microphone model.

No sound in live broadcast

  1. Please check whether the “OUTPUT” knob on the podcast console is turned on, and rotate the “OUTPUT knob”clockwise to slowly increase the volume of the live broadcast.
  2. Please check whether the podcast console “Maonocaster C1″ has been set as the default playback and recording device of the live broadcast software. If not, please set refer to ” Live Streaming on the Computer ” part.

Notes:
