GIBI2-C Charger

Follow these steps to get started. For more information, see getgibi.com/FAQ.

  1. Unbox the Gibi tracker and accessories. Slide the Gibi tracker out of the attachment clip.
  2. Start charging the Gibi tracker by connecting the charger kit and inserting the Gibi tracker. If using a wall outlet, use a power strip with surge protection,
  3. To create your Gibi account and activate the Gibi tracker, scan the QR code or go to login.getgibi.com.
    REQUIRES: Gibi subscription service Smartphone, computer, or tablet with internet access

USB to A/C Power Adapter Follow the four simple steps to get your dog Gibi’d and to help keep your dog safe.

step 1 Charge your Gibi

  1. Attach cable mini USB end to charger cradle.
  2. Attach cable USB end to power adapter (or to a computer USB port, then skip to 4 below).
  3. Plug power adapter into wall outlet.
  4. Slide Gibi device into charger in direction of grey arrow on top of device.

The light will be GREEN for about 20 seconds while it connects with the Gibi network, then RED while it charges, then GREEN again when fully charged. You will also get a fully charged alert. See FAQ on button light at getgibi.com /FAQ for more info. A fully depleted battery will take about 2 hours to fully charge.

2 Create and set up your Gibi account

Using a computer or tablet, go to login.getgibi.com. Click Create Account and fill in your info. Once you create your account, you can:
Access using smartphone.
Create safe zones to receive alerts if your dog is in or out of an assigned safe zone.
Get your dog’s current location and see your dog’s tracks (Pet History).
Set up alerts to be sent to family and friends.

3 Help Gibi get oriented

If you already see a paw print on the map, your Gibi is oriented and you can skip to Step 4. Otherwise, follow below.

  1. Once your Gibi is fully charged, slide your Gibi out of the charger.
  2. Take your Gibi outside to clear line of sight to the sky.
  3. Wait up to 15 minutes until a paw print shows on the map. Once you see a paw print on the map, your Gibi is oriented.

To center the map on you dog’s current location, click on the image of your dog (default image is dog silhouette).

4 Attach Gibi to gour pets collar

Thread your own collar through Gibi clip as shown. Then Slide Gibi device onto the clip. You will hear a click when attached properly.

Battery The lithium-polymer battery in Gib should be replaced only by Gibi Technologies Inc. or a Gibi Authorized Service Provider and must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste. For information about battery recycling and replacement, go to getgibi.com/battery-recycling-and- replacement.
Charging and discharging The Gibi device is powered by a rechargeable battery. When the battery voltage drops below low battery threshold, the device needs to be charged. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. Recharge Gibi device only with Gibi Technologies Inc. approved chargers designated for this Gibi device.
Unplug the charger from the electrical plug and the Gibi device when not in use. Do not leave a fully charged battery connected to a charger, since overcharging may shorten its lifetime. If left unused, a fully charged battery will lose its charge over time.
Never use any charger that is damaged. Leaving the Gibi device in hot or cold places, such as in a closed car in summer or winter conditions, will reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery.
Do not dispose the Gibi device in a fire as it may explode. Dispose of Gibi device according to local regulations. Do not dispose as household waste. Do not dismantle the device. In the event of a battery leak, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes. In the event of such a leak, flush your skin or eyes immediately with water, or seek medical help.
Gibi Ninety-Day Limited Warranty Summary Gibi warrants the included hardware product and accessories against defects in materials and workmanship for ninety days from the date of original retail purchase. Gibi does not warrant against normal wear and tear, nor damage caused by accident or abuse. To obtain service contact Gib at [email protected]. Shipping charges may apply. FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION COMPLIANCE STATEMENT

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.  RF Exposure warning
This device meets the government’s requirements for exposure to radio waves. This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications Commission of the U.S.
Government.
The exposure standard employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg. Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions accepted by the FCC with the EUT transmitting at the specified power level in different channels.
The FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this device with all reported SAR levels evaluated as in compliance with the FCC RF exposure guidelines.
